      Brendon Dowdy thoracic outlet syndrome has to do with the brachial plexus. If even one of the brachial plexus nerves gets damaged in any way it can cause a lot of movement abnormalities that take a long time to come back from. TOS is pretty standard when it comes to a hard fall on your shoulder, lots of nerves go to the arm that come out behind the clavicle. Thats why he had trouble with simple stuff like tying his shoe, his neuromuscular system was all jacked up.

    You can tell in the Philly pre draft work out that his shot slightly changed from college indicating that his injury over time got worse we just didn't notice it at first, then it got so bad he missed a chunk of time to not only fix his form but relearn it, which also indicates that he's lost a lot of strength in his shoulder as he's form for his pull up mid is almost exactly like his form in college, he just doesn't have the strength to shoot normally with out the momentum of a pull up mid range

    how did they not catch this in the pre draft workout? Its so obviously different from college during that workout

    there are three ways this could have happened either he got a shit trainer or the 3 point line being further back and other changes to the court messed up his muscle memory or it was the injury but good to see hes reforming in orlando

    Shot was perfect before. this looks like more than a growth adjustment. I'll bet there's either some focal (accessory muscle/ulnar nerve compression during flexion etc) neuropathy or tendonitis etc he's developed they just haven't been able to resolve for one reason or another...

    Hope there’s a documentary about this one day. I can understand having a nerve issue, but why not go back to the form you shot the ball in college? Yea I do believe this was a physical issue, but it has to have a mental aspect to it. Like PP said you can have shoulder surgery and still shoot the ball the same way. It just boggles my mind

    • @sdaewdaws
      @sdaewdaws 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s pretty dumb. Once a nerve is pinched, it’s not the same. It’s like teaching a crippled person to walk.
