I've never seen or heard of this movie until today. It skyrocketed to one of my top favorite films of all time. Absolutely adore how it balances all the essence of life- bland and boring- typical- depressing- dreaming- friendship- family, it was just phenomenal, I am still reeling from how much of a blast to my youth with the looks and music of my childhood... and just how touching it was with the friendship with Rhonda, the romantic turning of the fake husband- but an open door to that young man who clearly was still enamored with her, the sad sad fate of what a disaster of a marriage looks like with her mother's suicide and hurtful father starting to come to terms with just how abusive and unsupportive he was, it was just all so many mixed emotions, a real rollercoaster, and I loved every minute of it.
