I actually have a theory for this. What if Miku was both Cinderella and Juliet, and the 'Juliet' part of her is singing about how she feels as if her 'Romeo' only loves the 'Cinderella' part of her that she doesn't view as herself? Since the canonical sequel to this, Me and Juliet, has Cinderella and Juliet the two different parts of Miku. The 'Cinderella' being the rebellious personality she has around romeo and the 'Juliet' being the more innocent person she once was before she was with her 'Romeo'.

I can understand your point, but I can say from Juliet's opinion, watching a dear friend of yours and maybe even the love of your life run away from you is agonizing especially when you can see the person you love slowly running away from you. I can fully understand Juliet's point of view as all she wants to do in her life is to reverse the clocks so she could tell Romeo she loved him. It's a selfish wish and people deserve to be happy but it doesn't stop jealousy, nothing ever does.

I liked the original version of Mirishira Romeo and Cinderella but this is amazing, to be honest in the original Miku was so high that was almost unpleasant to hear her (And I don't know why but a lot of people think that the higher the pitch the more emotional you sound) but you did amazing with the tuning here 🥺
I think both versions relate to each other. there's a girl who love the boy since forever, the boy met another girl, they fell in love and she got pregnant to stay always with him, she's cinderella (bc she left the shoe at purpose) and juliet (bc romeo really loves her and want to stay with her). But the girl in this song sees the story from the outside, she loves this guy too and then she realizes dispite all her feelings she is the juliet he left behind, she wasn't even juliet to begin with...

Doriko probably understood the story perfectly, but wanted to make a new version, and that only shows in the original song: a girl that wants her Romeo without being Juliet. The "Another" and "Mirishira" versions come from other people. A!R&C has the perspective of Romeo being a possibility of both savior and the "big bad wolf", given Anima's lyrics, while in M!R&C, it can be considered to be in an entirely different universe due to how the original song uses Cinderella and Juliet.
Is this a continuation of the original? I can´t help but think that since the love-story there was portrayed as forbidden maybe "Cinderella" ended up freaking out and ended the relationship in fear of her parents finding out, or insisted on keeping it secret to the point that "Romeo" couldn´t handle it anymore and found love elsewhere. As the new "Cinderella" came into the picture the old one turned into "Juliet" and resented the fact that she allowed her fear to let her relationship with "Romeo" turn into nothing more than a tragic play about forbidden love. I know that the girl refers to herself as "Cinderella" in the original but she also expresses a fear of turning into "Juliet", yet at the same time a fear of "being eaten by the big bad wolf" for lying and keeping secrets from everyone around her. So in the end, despite of her passion and will to run off with her prince I also got the impression that she was conflicted about the whole thing. Meh, there´s surely an entirely different story and I should really make my research online before making comments like this one but gee, I can´t help it that I find it so funny to make my own theories :). Actually, no. This one is a parody by Otouto no Ane called "Mirishira Romeo and Cinderella" (eng translation : "I don't even know a millimeter of Romeo and Cinderella") that she did with the instrumental of the song never actually hearing the original. This one has Juliet and Cinderella as two different characters. Juliet likes Romeo and he seems to like her too considering they did everything together since childhood. Suddenly, Cinderella comes into play and Romeo falls in love with her. Since Juliet is aware of it, she becomes extremely jealous of Cinderella. Eventually, the two (Romeo and Cinderella) become a couple and Juliet pretends to be happy for them to hide her jealousy. She wants to believe that Cinderella is the real Juliet in the "story" and that she will have a bad ending (which includes Juliet and Romeo hooking up). She also refuses to believe that things ended there so she will have to wait.

No, I'm pretty sure this is unrelated to the original Romeo and Cinderella. I believe that when a Vocaloid user heard the instrumental to Romeo and Cinderella, they came up with their own song to match the instrumental, thus creating Mirishira Romeo and Cinderella.
THIS SO SAD!!! Yet vERY realistic, there are a lot of people that do that, make a promise, then either the guy or girl falls for someone else.(most likely the for some reason...) and "Juliet" is forever alone, sometimes.
Then Prince Charming comes to her and admits his love for the other girl and then she realizes her love for him will go on unrequited (Or in other words "tragedy") For a while she doesn't want to admit it, but in the end she says goodbye to Prince Charming, referring to him as Romeo; The only person Juliet ever loved before she died therefore fully admitting to herself that her role is that of Juliet.

This song is from Juliet's point of view. So from what i deduce, the story was supposed to be Romeo & Juliet, but "Cinderella" stepped in. Romeo and Cinderella then began to fall in love, and Juliet was casted aside. Everyone then thought "Cinderella" was Juliet, and thought that Cinderella and Romeo was a fitting pair. Juliet was then of course, devastated, knowing her Romeo doesn't care about her anymore. And the story isn't Romeo & Juliet anymore.

A!R&C has the perspective of Romeo being a possibility of both savior and the "big bad wolf", given Anima's lyrics, while in M!R&C, it can be considered to be in an entirely different universe due to how the original song uses Cinderella and Juliet.

Is this a continuation of the original? I can´t help but think that since the love-story there was portrayed as forbidden maybe "Cinderella" ended up freaking out and ended the relationship in fear of her parents finding out, or insisted on keeping it secret to the point that "Romeo" couldn´t handle it anymore and found love elsewhere. As the new "Cinderella" came into the picture the old one turned into "Juliet" and resented the fact that she allowed her fear to let her relationship with "Romeo" turn into nothing more than a tragic play about forbidden love.
I know that the girl refers to herself as "Cinderella" in the original but she also expresses a fear of turning into "Juliet", yet at the same time a fear of "being eaten by the big bad wolf" for lying and keeping secrets from everyone around her. So in the end, despite of her passion and will to run off with her prince I also got the impression that she was conflicted about the whole thing.
Meh, there´s surely an entirely different story and I should really make my research online before making comments like this one but gee, I can´t help it that I find it so funny to make my own theories :). Anyway, you guys are definitely welcome to give me the true story here. I really love both the original and this one :).
Actually, no. This one is a parody by Otouto no Ane called "Mirishira Romeo and Cinderella" (eng translation : "I don't even know a millimeter of Romeo and Cinderella") that she did with the instrumental of the song never actually hearing the original. She just made up lyrics judging by the title and made a melody and lyrics in her head to go along with the instrumental. This is just a cover of that parody with Hatsune Miku.

The original is basically Juliet not wanting to be the Juliet from the tragic story of Romeo and Juliet and instead wants to be Cinderella who has a happy ending in her love life.
This one has Juliet and Cinderella as two different characters. Juliet likes Romeo and he seems to like her too considering they did everything together since childhood. Suddenly, Cinderella comes into play and Romeo falls in love with her. Since Juliet is aware of it, she becomes extremely jealous of Cinderella. Eventually, the two (Romeo and Cinderella) become a couple and Juliet pretends to be happy for them to hide her jealousy. She wants to believe that Cinderella is the real Juliet in the "story" and that she will have a bad ending (which includes Juliet and Romeo hooking up). She also refuses to believe that things ended there so she will have to wait.

No, I'm pretty sure this is unrelated to the original Romeo and Cinderella. I believe that when a Vocaloid user heard the instrumental to Romeo and Cinderella, they came up with their own song to match the instrumental, thus creating Mirishira Romeo and Cinderella.

So from what i deduce, the story was supposed to be Romeo & Juliet, but "Cinderella" stepped in. Romeo and Cinderella then began to fall in love, and Juliet was casted aside. Everyone then thought "Cinderella" was Juliet, and thought that Cinderella and Romeo was a fitting pair.
Juliet was then of course, devastated, knowing her Romeo doesn't care about her anymore. And the story isn't Romeo & Juliet anymore.
