Textile roofs = Earthquake-safe roofs in homes. We just had an Earthquake in Utah. An Aussie architect made a Canvas roof home, but a real market would require more durability than that (we have heavy snow in Utah). I'd absolutely love to have a Spider-DNA roof tiny home!

I’m all for this, but perhaps the next time you make a video you should either leave off showing the man tying on the spider silk tie, or not precede that footage with word images that include dragline silk, high tension steel, or the toughness of seven layers of kevlar immediately before showing him tying it around his neck. I was enthusiastically thinking about the power of spider silk until word association suggested that tie around his neck as a weapon or a noose. Then I cringed.
