@@Generic_Drummer doubt it. Because they won’t make as much money as selling two titles so people spend double. The only standalone titles are 3rd versions & Legends titles. You can even look at the USUM where they made 2 third versions presumably for the sake of money (although you could argue it was for the 2 ultra necrozma forms)
The spinoff titles that make the most sense to me personally are either a completely new concept, PokePark, or Ranger. Out of those 3, Ranger sticks out because of Switch 2's possible "mouse controller" feature, since it makes perfect sense for a launch Switch 2 Pokemon title. Though if this is the case, it would not be shown off on Pokemon day, rather on the next Nintendo Direct. I personally think they're gonna hold off on a classic collection until the 30th anniversary, makes a lot more sense to me personally, especially since Switch 2 will be backwards compatible with Switch games. S/V sequels is a BOLD prediction, while I don't think it will happen, I would like to build on this. I could definitely see Game Freak throwing us through a loop by making a Legends Paldea game in Gen 11 or something. It's again, unlikely, but a fun idea. I don't think we have enough time in this gen for B/W remakes. That being said, everything seems to line up for them in Gen 10, considering they seem to like doing remakes every other generation now, with us getting them in gens 4, 6, and 8. You could also argue that it's too predictable, and that Game Freak will delay Gen 5 remakes a gen just to catch us off guard, but I'm sticking to Gen 10 for this one personally.
Also in general there's only ever been ONE major traditional remake per console generation and emphasis on traditional, I'm not counting LGPE since those aren't traditional remakes at all: GBA had FRLG, DS had HGSS, 3DS had ORAS and Switch had BDSP so I'd say chances are BW Remakes will be Gen 10!
I’d rather see the shiny Legendaries available forever in some secret event rather than just being a gift. What if you need to complete every single dex and in the place where the second box-art legendary would spawn, a shiny version of the other games’ Box-art legendary was there. It would actually require work.
@Buzz.co2 removing timed events for Shinys or mythicals would be absolutely brilliant. I jump on and off the games and can go weeks without playing only to see I've missed some important events 😕
I’m gonna predict that there is NO mainline games other than ZA this year, and it will release in November. There is no way ILCA is doing Gen 5 or anything else. There could be a spin-off like Mystery Dungeon or something, and of course there will be mobile games, but no mainline games other than ZA
I think we’ll most likely get an announcement for another oppurtunity to catch walking wake and the violet one. They’re absolutely going to do that one more time before the end of SV and Switch life cycle
I would rather get rereleases of old games instead of remakes. Sure remakes are good but you still can’t play any of the Gameboy Pokemon games on switch. And since the 3DS eshop is dead, there is no way to buy them that isn’t second hand. Getting ports is much better for archival purposes and it’s better than getting bad remakes like BDSP. There would probably be a way to circumvent the touchscreen requirements in the DS and 3DS games. (I just really want to play USUM again but don’t want to take out my 3DS).
Honestly I’d like to see X&Y port. I feel like the 3ds era’s art style fits in well enough with the sort of chibi style from BDSP but holds up well that it doesn’t really need reworking and the touch screen was mainly used for the online component so that could easily be transferred over to the UI elements. The only part that may need a good bit of rework is Pokemon amie, if they don’t want to have just a flat out re-release then they could finish off the Zygard storyline in the Kalos rather than in Alola. The there’s two advantages I see for an X&Y port, 1: it’s an already completed code base so it’s more about making the changes needed for switch and that can be done by a third party without having to rebuild the games from scratch so you can avoid some of the issues BDSP had and 2: Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby were built off the X&Y engine without too many modifications(the earlier beta builds even called it Pokemon Y in some areas as they hadn’t changed it yet) so porting those games would be significantly easier in the future, I think Sun & Moon were also built on top of the same engine but by the time it reached release it was basically a 2.0 version of the engine so it’d take a lot more work to port those games over.
@@johnatkinson1111 I’d be super down for that if that would ever happen. The only games that really need remakes are the first 4 generations (BDSP never happened).
I think it would be cool if scarlet got a mystery gift of shiny koraidon and then a raid event for a shiny miraidon. Then violet would have the opposite
Instead of SV sequels, I still believe we'll be getting a patch that opens up the northeast corner of Paldea to reveal the previously-scrapped Southern Kalos region as a tie-in with PLZA. It makes much more sense than full on sequels, especially if we're getting Unova or Johto remakes as well. Also the remakes being Johto would make sense if they're also doing the gen 3 ports because that would be giving us each of the first 3 regions. Also HOME compatibility for all of this.
Walking Wake and Iron Leaves as permanent events as SV life cycle comes to an end. For an unhinged prediction, I’m waiting for us to have some kind of subscription service to access emulation/ports of older games onto switch.
I wonder if they’d lock all the old games behind a separate subscription or have a few “trial” games as part of switch online(expansion pass) like gen 1&2 on NSO while gens 3-7 on a separate subscription, maybe bundle it as a Pokemon legacy that also gets you a Pokemon home subscription to try and add value. Although I feel like the two issues right now are 1: DS & 3ds aren’t part of NSO expansion pass so there isn’t a Nintendo made emulator out right now so either they’d be on their own or waiting for NSO to add the consoles. And 2: remake competition, right away BDSP would be competing with the originals where as people are still buying BDSP, the remakes didn’t really expand the story like ORAS so there isn’t much to direct you towards the $60 remake rather than the original and would immediately hurt any future remake/port(because honestly the 3ds era games don’t really need remakes and could go with ports instead). If I’m being completely honest with how popular Pokemon is they could probably rerelease the originals as eshop titles and people would buy them rather than going with the subscription model, like there’s probably enough people that you could get away with Ruby, sapphire, and emerald for $20 each and I would honestly still pay $60 to get Pokemon X/Y on switch as just a straight port similar to Miitopia.
I'm hoping this year Pokémon Day 2025 at the end of February will be a lot better than last year since nothing excited happen except for the long waiting annoucement for Pokémon Legends: Z-A games to finally be released.
Never heard anyone say the Paldea remakes idea but I absolutely love it - Paldea had so much potential but was destroyed by performance issues unfortunately
I have a feeling that we might get an announcement for Gen 10 games alongside what's being announced this Pokemon Presents. Part of me believes that Game Freak could try to release Gen 10 on Pokemon's 30th year anniversary which I believe could be a smart move, especially if the game comes out really good. As for everything else, I think that of everything you mentioned in this video, I believe the shiny distribution and Kalos outbreaks are going to be the most likely. A new TCG Pocket set is also very likely as well.
The middle line for sure. I expect almost nothing Pokemon anymore. I think we all know that the majority of the presents will be filled with updates for the mobile apps. A mystery gift and/or a limited time in game event like an outbreak or raid would be the easiest thing for them to do. For Legends ZA, I think we will get a short gameplay trailer that will show off the starters and maybe a new mechanic and that's it.
I hope we get either Let's Go Johto or BW remakes (that are actually PROPER remakes and not nostalgia-pandering), just as long as they still have time to put a reasonable amount of effort into Generation 10. I still enjoyed generations 8 and 9, but you get the point.
Considering that the next Pokémon go event update will focus solely around unova and this year we will be having two brand new sets of TCG cards from unova, my guess is that the remakes are closer than we expected
I think we will just get updates to the spinoffs, maybe something in Scarlet & Violet, and some info on Legends Z-A. that will literally be everything.
Your talk of new movies got me thinking. What if they started releasing movies that were strictly based around the games? Similar to how Pokemon Origins did Red’s story
Scarlet and Violet 2, as out there as it seems, could be the surprise curveball they throw at us. Honestly, I would love to return to Paldea. Imagine either Florian or Juiliana have gone missing. As you start the Treasure Hunt, you're invited to not only take on the Gym Challenge, but the Team Star Tournament. Depending on which version you get, your first challenge/base battle is interrupted by Team Past/Future. This team is comprised of scientists who were supporting Professor Sada/Turo by conducting research on Paradox Pokémon in hidden research labs dotting the caverns crisscrossing Paldea. They declare that they've perfected the Professor's work and have already brought new Pokémon into the region. 5 new Paradox Pokémon from each generation, with a couple new mythicals and legendaries, both Paradox and non-Paradox. That's not likely to happen, but one can dream!
I think the focus for this Pokemon Day Presents will be mostly on Legends Z-A, I think we'll get a nice blowout of information! I'd love to see classic Pokemon games released for Nintendo Switch Online but honestly I think we'll get that next year since it'll be the 30th anniversary so it makes sense to release them then in fact I think on February 27th 2026 they will announce Pokemon Red and Blue for release on Nintendo Switch Online available on Switch 1 and Switch 2 on the same day to celebrate 30 years since those games released as this is exactly what they did back for the 20th anniversary! And perhaps releases of Gen 2 and 3 later down the line. Though a Pokemon Classic Games Collection isn't out of the question for 2026 either. I think a new spin off for Switch being announced for this Pokemon Day is definitely possible though, I'd love them to release a PMD Explorers remake or even an entirely new PMD which I think is well overdue!
I'm pretty sure the gen 1 and 2 ports were for the 20th anniversay, so the gen 3 ports will probably be for the 30th anniversary in 2026. And it'll also insentivise people to buy the switch 2
I was terribly let down last year, 25th/15th anniversary of GS/HGSS respectivly and nothing Johto related. So, this year, it's just whatever to me, will just read about it the next day.
No chance of a classic collection ever, the Pokemon Company wouldn’t give up all that juicy remake money, I wonder if they might do an Animal Crossing style life sim based on Pokemon Concierge, you run your own Pokemon resort, build and decorate areas and visit others? I think people would lap that up
Wait. Scarlet and violet 2 makes sense. I know you meant it jokingly, but considering it failed so hard graphically, and the switch 2 is coming out, this would make sense. I can see game freak wanting to go out with a bang, instead of a ‘pew’
Lmao. Imagine they make a sequel where the history teacher is the actual villain and the Quartet of Ruin actually ends up being an important plotpoint ingame.
Porting gen 1-3 to the switch is basically impossible due to changes to european Age rating board Pegi making any game featuring gambling as scene in the game corners 18+ no questions asked. so they'd have to go into each game a figure out a way to remove the game corners while still letting you get the rewards. do i could see Gen 5, XY and ORAS getting portd.
Given we just got a big new set in TCGP, I doubt they’re gonna drop a third major set. That would give STS basically no time to breathe, not be collected by anyone who isn’t a TH-camr or insanely wealthy.
I know it is a long shot aside from we'll probably see Legends Z Hoping to see Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers remake or preferably a new game As well as Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness HD collection and Pokepark 3 as well as Pokepark 1 & 2 remaster.
3:00 this is never going to happen, and I think it’s because they don’t want these younger fans of the series who never got to experience the original 3-4 gens to see what Pokémon games looked like when they actually cared about the quality of their games. Wouldn’t want their already half baked product to look even worse.
Kinda hard to believe that this is the first time Game Freak has announced a new game and did not share anything for a whole year. My only hope is that they finally polish and fix the game for launch and learn from Scarlet/Violets release!
I think a gen 6 port could be a big possibility ZA release in November XY port in summer They would have to put the battle screen on the top and can easily implement the online features there as well Change the story a little. Maybe a little extra content and call it Pokemon XYZ definitive edition
The middle row is the most likely one I think, with the bottom-left/top-right diagonal being a close second. The rest are a bit too out there to be likely.
Classic collection: would absolutely love it, and make them back and forth compatible with pokemon home Shiny miridon and koridon: that’s be cool to see, i’d like them as tera raids rather then mystery gifts…
Given how some 3ds game got an hd treatment for the switch in my opinion it would be cool if pokémon X and y gotten HD treatment for like switch or for the switch 2 Heck you could actually call it something like Pokemon HDX and Pokemon HDY
My predictions for the future of Pokemon are Pokemon Legends ZA Early and Pokemon Black and White remakes Holiday 2025 and Pokemon Red and Green Remakes 30th anniversary celebration release Early and Gen 10 Holiday 2026 30th anniversary and I made a post on Reddit for why in depth. Awesome video and predictions here. Let's see what happens from here.
10 minutes of mobile games, another 5-10 for events, tcg, maybe a spin off game. Ends with ZA trailer. Pokemon day has been super predictable, but I would enjoy being proved wrong.
I believe I figured out what Legends Z-A is and means! In Sun and Moon and Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon there is a picture of Ash and Pikachu in Acerola’s trial and you can buy his Alola hat in the games then in Sword and Shield in the Isle Of Armor DLC if you had a specific Pokémon you could be given movie Ash’s hat and in Scarlet and Violet Nemona’s house had a painting of Ash-Greninja then in the Indigo Disk DLC there was a woman who made the Synchro Machine where you could synchronize with your Pokémon and take control of them and in the XYZ anime the name had XYZ together and if you add Z-A to it then it would be XYZ-A not to mention nothing happened to warrant a Urban Redevelopment Plan in the original X and Y games but in the XYZ anime the Giant Rock evil roots were destroying Lumiose City and Prism Tower which would warrant a Urban Redevelopment Plan as Lumiose City is the place that got wrecked in the anime and the lines in the A in Z-A could be the evil roots and we may need to help Ash-Greninja destroy the roots and find the source and destroy it in the game because this is XYZ the ending and XYZ-A would be the ending of something old and the beginning of something new not to mention Ash in XY and XYZ wore the same blue jacket that Calum wore in the Pokémon X and Y games except with short sleeves that is the only time ever Ash wore the same clothing as a games protagonist!!!
I would love for a remake of unova because I can finally build my dream unova team if we do get it most likely it will be a remake of the first black and white games I remember seeing on Instagram something that said Pokemon will be releasing a new black and white set called black bolt and white flare using the trading cards to side along with the next games sounds it could work come to think of it remember that unova and jhoto were teased a lot during the scarlet and violet games so it could be a sign that a remake is in the horizons kinda like how back in Gen 8 a lot of the Pokemon that returned were mostly from the sinnoh region and next thing you know we got sinnoh remakes
I’m still so confused on why people keep saying for the switch like they didn’t announce switch 2 backwards compatibility for switch games do you really think its not going to be like 90% of the catalog
I think if they make a movie they should make it based on the games(similar to origins or generations). The Ash movies aren’t canon to the original source material(the games). Origins and generations on the other hand were
Oh hell yeah, unhinged predictions I'm so here for it! Just because I want them I predict a new Mystery Dungeon/Remake of Explores of Time/Darkness/Sky like they did with Rescue Team and of course New Pokemon Colosseum like game. It's coming, I know it, I'm not just huffing unholy amounts of copium! Also, and this could be happening: Trailer for the new Pokemon Concierge Season. That was such a lovely show, can't wait for more! I honestly hope they don't throw new Mythical Pokemon at us. They mean nothing at this point because downloading them or having them somewhat readily available in a lot post games completly demystyfied them for me and it makes me sad. Also After the last Remakes that happend I sincerly hope they never make remakes again and just give me good ports for older games
I dont know why i couldnt get into Scarlet, just really did noy enjoy it as a Pokémon game. The only 2 pokemon games i never finished, Sun and Scarlet :(
With the release of the switch 2, all previous gen pokemon games should be made available. And make them all transferable to pokemon home.. Just do it already
People can call me boring for this but my prediction is mobile game updates, Unite updates, something on the trading card game and anime, finally Z-A news. Don't count on Z-A trailer being long. 2 mins at the most. Spin off is not impossible but mobiles have been dominating these days. Legends Z-A is going to be a November release since we not getting another game this year. Ports don't need to happen in my opinion. SV is done with content and there won't be a new mythical. Remakes and sequels won't happen.
The only prediction I see happening on here is the obvious z-a news, I'd love ports of older games fire red and leaf green are still some of my all time favourites, the thought I have had is them doing with gen 10 what they did with gen 8 when announcing the lets go games where they said a more traditional Pokémon game would come the following year which turned out to be sword and shield
dont think sequels of scarlwet and violet but rather a final free dlc witch gives us acess to the last little area of scarlet and violet we can not go to in the water maybe in line with the paldean mythical we don´t have yet

I was terribly let down last year, 25th/15th anniversary of GS/HGSS respectivly and nothing Johto related.
So, this year, it's just whatever to me, will just read about it the next day.
@@SkydrawnIV thats just the way everything was so predictable in the past. im more grateful that theyre cooking and taking a while to develop.
No chance of a classic collection ever, the Pokemon Company wouldn’t give up all that juicy remake money, I wonder if they might do an Animal Crossing style life sim based on Pokemon Concierge, you run your own Pokemon resort, build and decorate areas and visit others? I think people would lap that up
Pokemon anime Twitter confirmed that there will be Horizons news on Pokemon day
Wait. Scarlet and violet 2 makes sense. I know you meant it jokingly, but considering it failed so hard graphically, and the switch 2 is coming out, this would make sense. I can see game freak wanting to go out with a bang, instead of a ‘pew’
It really doesn't. There is no reason for a sequel to Scarlet and Violet. No loose ends to imply one is happening
Lmao.
Imagine they make a sequel where the history teacher is the actual villain and the Quartet of Ruin actually ends up being an important plotpoint ingame.
Funny how well timed this was. Was just looking up prediction videos, and this popped up in my sub feed xD
I predict we may be disappointed
@@CreepyJournals Yes we will be disappointed
Porting gen 1-3 to the switch is basically impossible due to changes to european Age rating board Pegi making any game featuring gambling as scene in the game corners 18+ no questions asked.
so they'd have to go into each game a figure out a way to remove the game corners while still letting you get the rewards. do i could see Gen 5, XY and ORAS getting portd.
I think this year is gonna be a low key year because next year is the 30th anniversary.
30th Anniversary huh? You know what that means? :3 The golden year, which means it’s gonna be Year of Meowth
Pokemon GO: new Pokemon/gimmick releases, full info on locations of Go fest 2025 (specific parks for Osaka, Paris and New Jersey)
I have my fingers crossed for a Let’s Go Johto.
With the gigaleak, I'm half-expecting the direct to end with a small teaser ending with 'GAIA- 2026'
Given we just got a big new set in TCGP, I doubt they’re gonna drop a third major set. That would give STS basically no time to breathe, not be collected by anyone who isn’t a TH-camr or insanely wealthy.
I know it is a long shot aside from we'll probably see Legends Z
Hoping to see Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers remake or preferably a new game
As well as Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness HD collection and Pokepark 3 as well as Pokepark 1 & 2 remaster.
I would love the Johto games with a Let’s Go treatment❤
If the BW/2 remakes are outsourced to ilca again I may start crying
BDSP don't deserve the hate they get imo.
Me: They will probably be ether Pokemon mystery dungeon explore the sky remake or Pokémon Black & White 3. Mostly likely both
3:00 this is never going to happen, and I think it’s because they don’t want these younger fans of the series who never got to experience the original 3-4 gens to see what Pokémon games looked like when they actually cared about the quality of their games. Wouldn’t want their already half baked product to look even worse.
I'm still here waiting for a Pokken Tournament sequel💔
revival support of pokétounament.
3:47 THIS DESPERATELY NEEDS TO HAPPEN 🔥🔥🔥
Prediction- they pull a TotK and delay ZA a year and give a release date of 2026.
Fun video
Excited for Zed A and don't think we are going to get much more. Although 100% think we are getting the shiny gen 9 legends
Kinda hard to believe that this is the first time Game Freak has announced a new game and did not share anything for a whole year. My only hope is that they finally polish and fix the game for launch and learn from Scarlet/Violets release!
I think a gen 6 port could be a big possibility
ZA release in November
XY port in summer
They would have to put the battle screen on the top and can easily implement the online features there as well
Change the story a little. Maybe a little extra content and call it Pokemon XYZ definitive edition
The middle row is the most likely one I think, with the bottom-left/top-right diagonal being a close second. The rest are a bit too out there to be likely.
I hope they announce 10 gen with a 2026 holiday release like they announce Z-A last year I just want a peak of the next generation
is your name Patrick BECAUSE IF YOU'VE BEEN LIVING UNDER A ROCK you should know that a new set came out on the 30th
What id do for gen 3 ports on the switch man
I think pocket will do another mini set (probably about Arceus since thats not in the main A2 set) and give out some hourglasses + trade tokens.
Unfortunately that new tcg pocket set is probably not happening because of space-time smack down
We are NEED a new pinball game! It would be sooo dope to have a table for every generation
Classic collection: would absolutely love it, and make them back and forth compatible with pokemon home
Shiny miridon and koridon: that’s be cool to see, i’d like them as tera raids rather then mystery gifts…
Given how some 3ds game got an hd treatment for the switch in my opinion it would be cool if pokémon X and y gotten HD treatment for like switch or for the switch 2 Heck you could actually call it something like
Pokemon HDX and Pokemon HDY
They just dropped a new tcgp expansion a few days ago. Is dialga/palkia themed
Z-A need to capitalize on Arceus but give us a proper open world
I think we could be seeing Gen 10 starters or some other teaser to it, but maybe I’m crazy lol
I don't know about the new card set but I bet they will explain the advance ticket in tcg pocket for pokemon day
My predictions for the future of Pokemon are Pokemon Legends ZA Early and Pokemon Black and White remakes Holiday 2025 and Pokemon Red and Green Remakes 30th anniversary celebration release Early and Gen 10 Holiday 2026 30th anniversary and I made a post on Reddit for why in depth. Awesome video and predictions here. Let's see what happens from here.
not a prediction but i would love a hgss remake in the style of bdsp
They should not make another exclusive Mythical without making the others available forever. The only way to get Genesect now is to cheat.
10 minutes of mobile games, another 5-10 for events, tcg, maybe a spin off game. Ends with ZA trailer. Pokemon day has been super predictable, but I would enjoy being proved wrong.
You know I believe we are going to get another mythical event pokemon mystery gift you know to give scarlet and violet one last hurrah.
You don't think there'll be any news of Gen 10? Not even a 'Coming in 2026' announcement?
Can this be Tic Tac Toe instead of Bingo?
I want the ports more than ANYTHING else.
This is my new favorite pokemon channel
new tcg pocket mini set is already confirmed by leaks.
It’s not happening, especially with shiren releasing last year, but a new pmd would have me pumped
Origins and generations on the other hand were
They will announce a mini set just like Mythical Island, and it will be Giritina centered. A2a
Oh hell yeah, unhinged predictions I'm so here for it!
The only 2 pokemon games i never finished, Sun and Scarlet :(
I think a Pokemon Emerald Remake or Pokemon Platinum Remake could happen
I've said if the gen 3 games come to nintendo online, I'll buy the expansion
