I don't ski and haven't snowboarded since the 2000s, but your stoke is PALPABLE and genuine and it makes watching this stuff super exciting. Thanks for being you, rubber ducky. :)
You couldn’t have put this in a better way. Reaction videos rarely add ANYTHING to the original content but watching steepsteep reactions is the most entertaining thing on TH-cam :)
It's also because he knows what he's talking about and is very good at explaining WHY he reacts the way he reacts (at least for skiing events). So aside from it being fun to watch, it's also very informative. I'm a snowboarder myself so I know jack sh*t about skiing, so this helps me out massively.

Anyone else seeing these riders facial expression being like... "WHERE THE F IS THE LANDING???" - I would say this jump's backside elevation is waay to deep, or to close to the jump Every. Single. One. Jumps way over the 3 mark line.
I really wanna agree because I love Marcus, but because it's a "jam session" type format and not something like 3 best tricks, then I gotta agree with the outcome. Marcus had some of the sickest tricks seen both years, but it's about every single run so I understand.

Marcus was forced to go for way to hard tricks by the judges because they didnt put him in the first spot after the insane tricks he landed, because of that he had to risk it. If he was placed in first earlier he wouldnt have to risk it.
Cab is switch frontside. That 17 y/o did a switch backside 5. Personally I don't really use it for snowboarding, since a true cab is switch nollie frontside 3, and in extension cab 5, 7, 10, etc... You'd have to be popping off the nose for it to be a true cab spin, which isn't really the same in snowboarding as in skate.
Front hand, toe side, middle = mute grab. Fh, tail = seatbelt. Fh, heel side, m = melon (method if tweaked). Back hand, ts, m = indy. Bh, nose = crail. Bh, hs, m = stalefish. 👍 if that helps! 🤙

2:06 Yeah for an english speaker is that pretty much how you can pronounce it and its not far off... Its flemish/dutch so we say it a little slower like: se(soft e) (soft b)be de(almost the same as “The”) buck edit: He is from belgium 🇧🇪
To help you determine if it's regular or goofy, pause and check the difference between the edge of the board and the feet, usually, the longer tip is the front foot. You can also apply that logic to determine if they are going fakie. Disclaimer: for freestyling you want to have the least difference possible, so... Good luck ;)

The announcers during this event made it seem like she was going to possibly win and i just kept thinking to myself, "HOW?" YES she went big on her first jump but she did a tail press to 180, then her next jumps were just tiny 180/360 rippers. It's wild how far ahead the ENTIRE mens side is compared to the women. Love seeing her out there competing and having fun but tell Craig McMorris to chill out.
