Surface-to-air missile (SAM) is a missile designed to be launched from the ground to destroy aircraft or other missiles.
The C-RAM/Phalanx CIWS (Counter-Rocket Artillery Mortar) system and CIWS (Close In Weapon System) use a 20mm gatling cannon to destroy incoming targets.

I love to make these simulation videos for you and I am happy that you all like them a lot! The graphics of ArmA 3 are very good, it almost looks like in real life. Rather simulations than real war!

The weapon systems are of course used differently in real life, but I am happy to educate you about these weapons systems, many do not even know that they exist.

Took multiple hits, a gripen would be done for. Also no C-RAM holds anywhere near that many rounds, and no 3rd gen+ SAM would miss so easily even with flares
Not to mention that if done accurately the fight would be brrtt plane dead

IRL, no countermeasure will save a jet from a Patriot missile. They wont even know they're being targeted until just seconds before they're hit.

@@oneviwatara9384 simulation just means its practice and not fighting an enemy. Simulation does not mean it's not firing real bullets. I think you're confusing a virtual simulation with an actual military training simulation drill

Not that it is truly relevant but I was enlisted two years ago when we barely had 700k enlisted as a whole. We have never been the true world power Russia alone would dismantle this country in no time. Now factor in China and their 100 million strong battalion that will invade the US when it's time.

No matter the country, imagine being one of these pilots on any side in any conflict coming up against such a weapon, this patriot system is a pilots worst nightmare. Dying for their country but mostly for the selfish arrogance of their leaders who never set foot in real conflict zones. Very sad

The engagement range is way too close for a PAC-2 GEM-T system. They're used for theater AD out to at least 200km. Any Gen 4 fighter wouldn't make it within Phalanx range.
A more realistic portrayal would use NASAMS or, at this close range, just Stingers.

Why not just use HEAT SEEKER missiles, Jeeesch
Or launch a flock of birds into the path of the aircraft. Many planes have been taken down by bird strikes. Low tech but effective as Captain Sully will testify
Because then the flair chaff system would work. Either laser or radar guided is best for an accurate shot. The missile and radar triangulate where the target is and can decisively strike from above or below. No Modern SAM chases a target like this. And No pilot in the world can out maneuver new missiles they can turn at speeds that would liquefy a human being

I don't know which country or countries this is but whoever is flying the Jets are doing a better job than the ground troops how are they shooting missiles and missing airplanes on top of that why are the missiles not heat activated where they follow and lock on to their targets I'm just saying if this is America or any weapons that came from America that country needs to just back down and find a new weapon supplier they should have heat sinking missiles by now taking planes right out the sky like nothing
