This review is a tad overdue, but today we are checking out the updated version of the Phoibos Sea Nymph. One of the few divers marketed toward women. As such, it's a little smaller and has its own distinct style.

Since I am in the target market for the watch, and a watch geek, I like it, although I'm not crazy about the color.
I'd go with the pink one.
Or even better a purple one.
I like the Octopus logo from this company.
The case back is nice.
But I prefer an exhibition case back.
The size of the watch is nice.
Although I have gotten used to larger watches.
Since you reviewed the Aragon Divemaster 4 Evo 43mm, which I bought within an hour of watching your video I have now 4 different Aragon watches.
All within 42mm to 44mm.
Previously I had been using my 2 Seiko 5 watches at 36mm and 37mm and I was fine with that size.
I don't actually dive but I like the look and feel of a diver.
I have small wrists at 6.2 inches and I'm a small framed woman.
This watch in pink would probably be just right.
As always, thank you for the great review.
Marc at Islander has some SKX013 homages with its smaller dimensions. Great video
Cool watch as well ur video 👌
Nice to see they switched the direction of the waves, with it that way it's a pretty cool bezel.
I don't really buy ladies watches because they're usually too small and dainty for my tastes. I'd like this one much more if the bezel's edge was more traditional.
That logo ghosting in and out was my favorite part. Super cool Mrs. Shane was involved your review.
P.S. Dave shouldered you with a lot of responsibility, good luck being in charge of TH-cam while he is away.
Thanks for branching out to this different target watch size. Can't tell if my wife would like it or not. She really thinks any watch dial over 29/30 is big. However she has gotten so attached to having a lumed watch at night since I bought her a Seiko ladies lumed mother of pearl dial watch that is not a diver.
To finish that comment. She is so used to a lumed dial that while we are at the beach this week she is happily wedding my old Orient Ray 2 on a silicone strap. In general she only wants to wear a loose bracelet. Perhaps she would like one of these for occasional wear.
I actually have a guilty pleasure soft spot for the Sea Nymph...it may be feminine however, with a 6.25 inch wrist and a love for more flash watches, I really like it!
I missed the first version, so since this one came out, I ordered one my wife soon. It's very nice and well done for the price. My wife is very satisfied with it.
When I first saw your video for the V1 I was excited because of the size, but then disappointed because I was new to watches and really wanted it to be an automatic. Now I've bought a couple watches for myself and my wife, and I think you make an excellent point that she might not want the hassle of setting it every time.
I love the new dial colors and the size and overall design, and like it enough that I will actually run it by her. I'd love to see what she has to say.
Thanks for the great review again.
I really like these, and as a big lump of a man, I'd wear one. That pearlescent-mint is gorgeous.
Glycine do a 36mm combat sub
It's a gorgeous watch. I can imagine the mother of pearl dial would be awesome in a dress watch also.
Ghost octopus....ghostopus? Well done Phoibos! I will have to eventually add one from them to the collection....thanks for the review!
It's a braw watch, would seriously consider it if it was larger....as I do like the overall looks....not a huge of mop dials so would look for an alternative....
Check out their Voyager line. It's sort of a Mens version. So more "normal" colorways and larger.
Here is a review of their first gen Voyager: th-cam.com/video/-sJQHQZogfo/w-d-xo.html
Although I think they have a second gen now with different colorways.
Nice watch, as expected from Phoibos. Other divers on the smaller side I know of, Citizen Promaser Eco-Drive EP6050-17E (Black) or EP6051-14L (Blue)....
I ordered one for my girlfriend. It came with a broken movement and my trouble began. Phoibos ships from the UK, but if you have issues, all goes via China and not particular well.
Sorry to hear that. Are they at least covering shipping back? I've never had to send anything back to them.
@@RelativeTime I had an issue with a blue mk2 Voyager which arrived scratched on the left side. In my case they were extremely efficient, they paid for the shipment and in three weeks I got my replacement free of any additional charge (I live in Europe though, hence the management of the issues may differ from the international website)
@@squale9291 that's good to know though
Always liked this dial design (MOP? Not!) and bezel shape, not as an every day watch, surely fun to wear once in a while though.
Thanks for the (re)review Shane, be well mate, enjoy... you or the "other you" anyway! 😉
I own and wear two female watches . With the size and style... ya can't tell.
Better late than never 😊
