I just love your accent!! That dress is pretty! I bet your friend loves it! When you’re sewing the elastic cord do you pull the elastic tight? Or leave it loose?

Thank you! The elastic cord is loose in the sense that I do not pull on it by hand. However the foot clamping mechanism exerts a fair amount of force on the cord so there is some tension in the cord already. If you insert the cord in the foot then try to drag it through manually you will actually see what this force is. So yes, the elastic cord is a little bit pre-stressed, even if this is not done by hand but by the foot itself.
