I also have this same issue of Time magazine. It's one of those moments where you'll never forget where you were or what you were doing when you found out. My heart goes out to everyone who lost someone that day.
Documentary is called "9/11" by the Naudet brothers. It was a documentary at first fallowing the life of a rookie firefighter until it inadvertently became the one of the most historically harrowing looks into 9/11 in NY as it happened ever filmed.
In September 2001, I was living on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. I remember the feeling I got when I heard that the city was shutting down all traffic into and out of Manhattan to protect the bridges and tunnels from any further attacks, as the realization dawned on me that I was now trapped on an island while it was being attacked from the sky. Grateful that none of my family or friends were hurt or worse. Many were not so lucky.
My fiancé and I stopped in NYC and visited the memorial last month while we were on our way to see the eclipse. It was so sad seeing all the names on the plaques and standing right where so many people died. Hard not to get emotional. I was born in 2002 so I wasn't alive when it happened, but my fiancé was in high school at the time and remembers it pretty vividly and was telling me what he remembers of that day: the principle running into all the classrooms to inform the teachers, the students being all confused not knowing what was going on, and hundreds of scared and frantic parents rushing to pick up their kids.
My parents were living in Chicago at the time, my dad worked in the Sears tower and my mom had just found out that she was pregnant with me. That day she was at home watching everything unfold on tv and was so worried about my dad, but she couldn't get through to him on the phone since all the lines were busy. He ended up coming home early.
What a scary time for you Mom! Wow! Thanks for this comment!!
Honestly I think about this and the people almost every time I’m on a plane. Thanks for sharing this.
I enjoyed this video Linda, even though it’s sad, its like chatting with a friend and comforting in that way. I was only 11 but remember that morning vividly and as a patriot now, I believe it’s important to never forget that day. Visiting the memorial at ground zero is on my bucket list
I lived in the city when it happened. I was uptown, but close enough to see the smoke when the towers fell. It was a horrific day that I will never forget. I still have The NY Times from the day after. I’m crying with you! 💙
I was born in 2002, but every time I see something about this tragedy, it impacts me as if I had seen it in first person.
I was pregnant with my daughter, she was born in 2002. she said she gets emotional too.
Born in Feb of 01. I remember seeing a ton about it and they still made a big deal about it by the time I reached elementary school cause I remember multiple times a “guest” came to talk about it. Tragic times for our country

i have been obsessed with 9/11 for years, was 18 when it happened. still traumatic asf. still can’t believe it happened. absolutely heartbreaking
Very interesting video, thank you for this. I would love to see cover more past major events in history!!
💛
I remember the people falling. I like to think it was a final act of bravery of their part to perish on their own terms and not engulfed in flames
I remember it vividly
It was a strange time indeed.
My parents were immigrating to the u.s around the time and they were delayed a whole month because of the attacks
I’m curious, did they get stuck somewhere?
Hey Linda I just wanna ask a question are you gonna be uploading more Pokémon ASMR?
Too recent for me.
If you think it’s too recent then why did Time Magazine post the towers on the cover only 2 days after the event took place? Now that was actually too recent.
