- Trigonometry is the study of measurement of triangle. This Video covers the history of trigonometry.
The research in Triangles started in history back from 2500 to 3000 years due to the need to measure volume to exchange grains , store it and also for land distribution.Trigonometry was even used in astronomy to measure the distance between the earth and the sun and other heavenly bodies…!.
Aryabhatta , a great indian scientist and mathematician worked in trigonometry in which we study now as sine , cosine tables and the value of Phi (π).
His research was later translated to arabic during their invation of india and later translated to latin and chinese.
This was a period where greece was researching about geometry. The beauty of trigonemetry is that any shape can be divided to triangles and circles. In this video we have discussed about relation between angles and sides .
An angle is defined as the amount of rotation of a revolving line from the initial position to the terminal position.(1/360) of the revolution is a measure of one degree.A degree is divided into minutes and minutes is divided into seconds.
