Hey guys I got some black tables, some gas, a fire starter, and a bucket of paper helicopters. Well what the hell for? Just bear with me and come one! (Needless to say, we had a good day)
While the concept works, and while they probably intended to float some paper helicopters, I have a feeling that side winds and other issues prevented them from capturing 100% actual paper helicopters on camera, and ended up resorting to CGI for most of it. No way in hell you'd get that many just sticking in one spot without any intersecting (crashing) into eachother or just going over the side out of the column of hot air and just fall or crash to the ground.
Yeah when you heat air, it expands, thus there is less density than the non-heated air around the area. The less dense the air, the lighter it is, therefore heated air rises. If you listen to the video, he says that pockets of warm rising air is created by a chemical reaction by the sun's heat warming up the Earth's surfaces.
+Roberts Pauls drawn out, over dramatic and I'm not a big fan of any of the Top Gear presenters, especially this one! But you know, horses for courses n all that
Well, I quite like science type programmes. Also I like to give things a chance and go in with an open mind despite my previous experience. Unfortunately it didn't work out positively.
I am absolutely in love with this man
Who isn't? ;)
I was actually hopping he'd show how hot the tables were by cooking eggs on it.
yeah i was like is he making a diy japanese resturant? (with onion volcanos)
Who is only watching because Hammond is in this?
Me
Me
Is this the same Richard hammond from the car crash
Only watching this cause his voice is perfect for documentaries 😄
@@run6653 yes lol. Watch top gear he crashes a lot.

The albino dragonflies are really active this time of year!
if i get chance to work with this man that would be wonderful, and my mind will be full of knowledge with the thinga around us
I know about thermodynamics and the meteorological correlations but this is so entertaining to watch
Ladies and gentlemen! We present to you Professor Hammond.
This is fascinating just because hammond is in this.
My inner child is freaking out. *GET THE PRINTER PAPER!!!*
Is that why when I open the oven to check on my biscuits I get hit with a blast of fucking heat
izzy speaks yes.
The Slow Mo Guys should have a go at doing this and find things that are as light as paper and see what things can float that look awesome.
so you are saying if I poop in my hand the sun will melt it if I leave it on tarmac?
It wouldn't melt, but rather dry up.
I don't think anyone said that son
I've got a jacket here for you, it has very, very long arms!
No. it will fly away like the paper helicopters
So are those rising thermals the shimmers we see in the distance?
Throw some steaks on the Barbecue...

That's a killer hotplate
Wow, that was fucking amazing.
Littering are we now?
Wait.... HEAT RISES!?!?!! Since when?!

I never knew that! (sarcasm btw...)
Pyromaniac Thats abit rude? What brought that on? I said I was being sarcastic about not knowing that heat rises. Never was rude to you at all.
Given my name as Pyromaniac, I am a bit messed up in the head sorry.
Roasted. You see what I did there? No? okay
I remember wanting to do this for a science fair, turns out I wasn't allowed to do it on such a big scale. (I was very young at the time of course).
The helicopters look odd at the end when they're drifting off - did they switch to CGI?
no
That could be in Hollywood make it green and with CGI and make birds
There little fairies
Now we know who started the aussie fires that cremated the koalas-
Angry short bloke.
Neat
Richard creates a lot of hot air..
Hmmmmm

Truly awful programme...awful!
Why? It's interesting and fun

If you're not a fan of any of the top gear presenters and don't like this program then why are you watching a video of it on TH-cam?
Well, I quite like science type programmes. Also I like to give things a chance and go in with an open mind despite my previous experience. Unfortunately it didn't work out positively.
kickthestoat what's wrong with that
