james curtis It’s easy on the computer games alright. The average dirt bike would probably not make it a 1/4 way up before flipping. These bike are obviously extended, & sound like super charged jets, so definitely not a lack of horsepower.
Suggestion? Newer adventure bike with traction control? Stretched CRF1000 ? Or KTM 1290 or Yamaha Tenere ...SOMETHING with over 100hp and traction control??
Hi all, I am a semi retired small motor mechanic...chainsaws, lawn mowers etc. 2 stroke lawn mowers were my preference for there ability to recover from a stalling situation. 4 stroke motor bikes were my preference, both road and (normal) offroad for their torque edge, but looking at this extreme stuff, the 2 strokes seem to have the edge. True or not?
IMO for this, 2 strokes rules ! more nervous, more reactive at acceleration.....a 500 cm3 from motocross ( honda 500 cr for example) would be perfect !

Video I just watched in Belgium, not one rider got within 25 ft of the top.
What isn't obvious here is that most of the bikes use chains or bolts through the rear tyre making life more interesting.

Forty four years ago, Malcolm Smith could have rode a stock Husqvarna 400 up that, no problem.
