- Opening, assembly, and first use/impression of harbor Freight's Bauer brand powered drywall sander. I found that product was just about ready to start working right out of the box, if not adding the extension section, unfold, lock latch, add sand paper and begin sanding. I would recommend the use of a shop vac to help control the amount of dust generated along with safety glasses and a dust mask. The sander worked extremely well and definitely reduced time from manually sanding, leaving very smooth surface.
I bought the Franklin Drywall lift from HF and getting ready to use the Sander also. These are my favorite tools from HF. If I was doing drywall everyday, I’d spring for a Milwaukee or Dewalt sander, but honestly, so many of Harbor Freight’s tools are great for average use. The lift helped me drywall a three story house by myself.
I definitely agree with the Milwaukee or dewalt, probably dewalt for me, as most all my tools are that brand. Just needed something to quickly knock down what other guys did and couldn’t wait for ordering as i had to still paint entire place that day, but it did surprise me on how well it worked. The lift would be great use for overhead hanging.
Can it be used to sand old hardwood floor. Removing layers of paint & gunk
It’s possible to use, but wouldn’t be recommended. Best to use a proper floor refinishing equipment, outcome would be better
Should’ve used a vacuum to demonstrate all its features
i agree, have more stuff in future that will require sanding and will show with a vacuum attached
Why did u hook up the vacuum ,
What's the point without a vacuum?
Sams. A rough wall that was poorly put on. Then tape and mud and sand. There’s so much dust I can’t see. I’ve definitely done many jobs i wish I brought the vac and hoses. Usually if it’s pretty clean, and new construction , I just let the dust be
Then the flooring guy (me) walks in the next morning, and is like, "wtf". Lol
At least your not a electrician, leaving all their wire snipping on my freshly swept floors. Geeeeez.
Funny part, also did the flooring and the complete finishing of the place. It took electricians several times to get their stuff right after wiring everything at 220, lost multiple new tools.
9” seems small but for the hft price it seems great
Theyre all 9" all drywall sanders
Which company invented the drywall?
Augustine Sackett, with sackett board was the person who invented the first rendition of what is now drywall. So I would say, drywall was invented by a single person and improved upon by various other companies that came later.
Ancient Egyptians
Put a polishing pad on it and see if it will polish your car faster than a one-armed tool.
I buffed floors with it, and did surprisingly well
@@chrisemery7295what loll 😂 it worked !!
Thx bud
Should've used a lot less mud
Take the brush off the head of the machine and it won’t stick to the wall… unless u have to use a vacuum
I didn't have a vacuum with me at that moment and needed to get stuff sanded, I have used it with and with out a vacuum multiple times now and the brush section hasn't given any issues. The vacuum pulls dust from ports in pad and around the head
