Bonus: London Overground Trains at Canonbury

Today we have a somewhat shorter bonus film for last week’s video of Highbury & Islington. We are one station east on the Overground at Canonbury. This station is still shared between the North London and East London lines. Beyond here, the two lines split, with the East London line turning southwards.
The station is rather idyllic and quiet, even though this was filmed in the evening rush hour.

The North London line is principally OHL 25kV AC except when it’s sharing lines with Southern or London Underground, this means that it has dual voltage (also known as multi-system) trains, the ELL is all 3rd rail 750V DC.

Nice job and the Class 378 along with classes 700 377 387 & 313 seems to be London's answer to the Metro North M8 for overhead wires (25 kv 50hz but 25kv &12.5kv 60hz for M8) and 3rd rail 750v dc capability
