I think it’s such a good move to add prolonged grief , it’s been tough as depression is associated with grief but it’s really so wrong to just label ppl with chronic depressive disorder.

Dr. Gehart. I would like to purchase your study program for the MFT exam, but the coupon that you mentioned in your previous video no longer works. Is there a new code that can be used? Thank you!

Why would prolonged grief d/o be diagnosed at "6 months for loss of a child and 1 year for loss of an adult when everyone knows that there is nothing WORSE than the loss of a CHILD, so, it's completely normal to grieve the loss of a child for a year and actually MANY YEARS. As a mother who lost her only child, this is disturbing to me.

Yes! If you look at the past publication pattern, we probably won't have a new major revision for another 8-10 years!

What is the purpose of the DSM?

Where is the long term evidence that using "inclusive and affirming language" with people that aren't their true self will be good for them in the long term?

There is significant research from a number of researchers and nations that indicate that affirming a person's identity significantly lessens suicide risks, self-harm, anxiety, depression, and other diagnoses. In addition, mental health licensure boards mandate the use of inclusive and affirming language. If you are in school or practicing and you are not using affirming and inclusive language, you are harming clients and risking your career.

Rephrasing words into actionable catchphrases like Affirming care isn’t scientifically based at all doesn’t operate on qualitative or quantitative data. the DSM isnt recognize internationally for a reason. Pandering to the American ethos of pseudo science brought to you by stakeholder and investors :)
