- In this video I'll show you how you can transform the look of an old Mercedes Benz in just minutes! My $125 Mercedes W124 estate (wagon) was stuck in the '90s, so I decided to make some changes! Mercedes restoration doesn't have to be expensive. This Mercedes S124 rebuild is going to be amazing and I'm glad you're here to help. I'll show you Mercedes seat removal, Mercedes interior detailing, and how to save leather seats. Then I'll show you how to remove chrome wheel arches!

Mike do a full restoration she deserves to be back to her original best. You'll have an absolutely beautiful and genuine quality wagon. Looks so much clearer without the chrome arch covers, also 17in AMG Monoblock Alloy Wheels would look incredible and a light window tint.

What you thought was rabbit food in the floorboard is most likely the hundreds of spikes on the back of old floor mats. I’ve seen it many times in vehicles. The mats break down over time.

I drove one of these for 10 years. It's a wonderful car and ride. I put larger size tires on and it filled the gap nicely. The car served me well and I do miss it. Many happy miles ahead for you!

It looks a lot better without the chrome fender covers. Some AMG wheels would look pretty tough on the wagon.

Great Video. The time lapse is a just brilliant. Those MB Station Wagons are wonderful cars... Far superior to the new 4WD / AWD of today with the exception of no 4 wheel drive for dealing with snow etc... but to carry things about and move the kids... o and the Dog and ducks.... cant beat it! not surprised it has a lot of views... they are just great cars... O and it was right to rid the Car of those awful wheel arches!

You are correct about the chrome garbage on the wheel arches. No idea why people think they enhance the look of the vehicle. They look awful on any Mercedes. As do pinstripes. Leave them the way Bruno Sacco and crew designed them. They knew what they were doing and any aftermarket "enhancements" just look like crap. Fantastic job on the cleanup. Look forward to more installments. As well as your 190...

Years ago I learnt a trick from my old Boss, he always had a Bottle of Acrylic Thinners mixed with Automatic Transmission Fluid and would shake it up and use it on over-Spray and any Paint that got onto the Vinyl Upholstery. The Oil makes it milder to use then we would use other Products to complete the Detailing.
Also Carpets, if you can remove them, Pressure Clean them then hose off and leave to dry. I could only find carpet for my car which had the Floors filled with water and thick Slime in a Wreckers Yard. Years of flooding then drying out had stained the Carpet but it was the only complete set I could find in the Plush Pile my Car came with.
I had planned on Pressure Cleaning then Dying it, but it came up so good with Detergent and the Pressure Washer it looked brand new! That worked so well I took to doing all the Floor Mats in the House the same way to remove stains from the Kids.

Clean boot floor with bicarbonate of soda mix mike,I spilt milk in our boot in france last year ,did it hum ,bicarbe mixture made smell free.

Hi Mike, i think the last owner looked after this car, as it got older used it as wagon and wasnt bothered as much about Mud,dirt stains ,paint etc ,dont think the chrome makes it looks worse or better. good job Anyway.

I think with that dent at the back, get a metal bar with a flat circular end, then hit it with a heavy Mallot from the inside gently, then sand down and add body filler , followed by a sanding and primer. Inside part should also be primered

Two thumbs up on the chrome delete Mike. You might know this already, but some vinegar in your carpet cleaning solution will kill residual mold, along with much of the smell. A few sessions with an ozone generator does wonders for all the places you can't clean directly. The cheap ones work great. Just be safe with it- keep people and animals away until it dissipates.

The chrome wheel arches in my opinion, were a bit of designer bling too far. Much nicer without them. What are the chances you can't find parts for a black interior. I hope the parts are out there to be found. The car is a timeless design and little wonder they are so desirable. Thank you for another great video.

Hello there cowboy here again looking good keep doing what you're doing, as for those seats get yourself a vinyl and leather repair kit with a little practice and patience there pretty good at hiding and actually repairing the seat I'm sure you can find some old junk upholstery to get practice when you're comfortable with it fix some that are important a little bit of effort I've had very good results everything from crakes to holes you're gonna want to get a larger can of filler paste than comes with the little kit there just to get you started and practicing then the big kits either from an upholstery shop EBay or Amazon enjoy have fun with it and remember always be safe healthy and happy God Bless 🤠
