Jesus of Nazareth is a pretty good film. Although they have mostly white actors rather than historically accurate olive complected folks, this depiction of Jesus in this video here is pretty accurate I think. The movie throws in a lot of how the culture really would have been. The DVD had an extra history section about how people lived back then.

I love the story of Olive Oatman. She was such a beautiful woman. I have a homemade family genealogy book that was made in the 1940's . Not my family. It is typed and the pages are thin and delicate from age. It has a wood cover that has damage on the spine. The family members from the 1940's traced their family all the way back to the revolutionary war and found that two family members actually fought with George Washington! In one of the stories there was a woman in the 1800's who was captured by indians. While with the tribe she had a baby. One day she saw people across a river and made her escape without the baby. As she was swimming to freedom she was shot with an arrow but survived. There are some really neat things in this genealogy book. My brother gave this to me after finding it thrown in a dumpster back in the early 1990's. I can't imagine why anyone would want to throw it away. So much history is in there!

Abraham, father of Ishmael, met and spoke with the Son of YHWH, which is evidenced in the scripture that says, “The Word spoke unto Abraham.” Issa/Jesus/Yeshua/Yahusha is the living Word/ Torah (that was taught to Ishmael and Yitsak). He is the first of all Creation and co-creator of Earth and all that is alive on the Earth. He came to live, die, and be resurrected for mankind to intercede for them as Great High Priest in Heaven. Unfortunately all religion has turned away but YHWH is waking up a remnant to return to The Way of righteousness, both native-born and those grafted in to the Tree of Life. I came out of modern day Christianity and I can tell you that the narrow path of YHWH has been a blessing and the only way to eternal life but it cannot be achieved without Issa/Jesus/Yeshua/Yahusha because His Spirit breaks the chains of sin and instructs us in righteousness. I hope this helps. YHWH be with you! Shalom!

Seeing that smile just warmed my heart so much, I can’t wait to see it for myself in the future 💛
For anyone who doesn’t know the Gospel (literally meaning “the good news”), basically, after Satan brought sin into the world, God knew it was impossible for us to be perfect and never do it, so out of love and mercy, He sent Himself down in the form of a human so He could experience life as one of us but with His supernatural ability to never give into temptation, so that He could be the perfect sacrifice to bail us out of the original consequences of our sin and so that we wouldn’t have to be apart from Him. In simpler terms, by dying as a blameless man, He paid the price and took the punishment that we were supposed to get so that we didn’t have to. As an analogy, it was like when a criminal gets sentenced, but someone can pay a certain price to bail that person out. With this said, if you choose to have faith that what I’ve said is true, (even the smallest amount of hope despite other doubts that may be causing conflict), and confess with a sincere heart the things you’ve done that have rejected or gone against Him, and with a sincere desire to be forgiven, then you are saved and forgiven, and welcomed into God’s kingdom. “Hope that is seen is not hope, for why does one hope for what they already see? But if we hope for what we do not see, then we eagerly wait for it with perseverance” (Romans 8:24-25).

Also, I didn't say there was anything wrong with blue eyes. I simply pointed out that it was nice to see a portrayal of Jesus where you could imagine that he may have looked like coming from that part of the world. And it's also my right not to be a believer, just as it's your right to be a believer. A book of stories, that has been edited so much over the last 2000 and odd years, is not proof in my opinion. Also I have not seen any proof of a God/Gods.

There are no pictures of Jesus, just portraits done much much later from the imaginations of various painters who chose various models. There’s no evidence that Jesus was an actual person. Most of it is traceable as mythology. Many adaptations of pagan or other religions in the area. There is much more evidence for John the Baptist and many people believe that the Jesus myths are actually based on “John” and just upgraded to create a supernatural character.

Sorry (not sorry) to burst your bubble but According to the Bible, Jesus was a Jew, a.k.a., a Hebrew or Israelite. Jesus lived in the Middle East and was of Semitic descent. As a result, He very likely would have had light- to medium-brown skin, brown eyes, and dark-brown to black hair. While Middle Easterners occasionally have light skin, comparable to that of Europeans, such skin tones are rare in that part of the world. Was Jesus white? There was no racism in portraying Jesus as white (at least initially). It was simply people drawing what they knew. Obviously, there was a whole shedload of racism involved later down the line, but not at first. Remember, Europeans didn't "need" racism until we decided to go around and steal land belonging to darker skinned people and wanted to have an excuse.
Look at images of Christ from other cultures. If you look at Indian representations of Him you'd think he was Indian. Same with Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. It's not just skin colour either. Look at a load of medieval art portraying Bible stories, a great deal of it will have the people dressed in then contemporary clothing, totally unlike anything they would have worn in reality. Or, again, look at Asian art. Figures will usually be portrayed in traditional clothing from the culture that produced the art.
If you want an idea of what Christ would have looked like, look at a Middle Eastern Jew, especially Iraqi Jews who, according to genetic tests done on first century skeletons, are genetically the closest contemporary population to the Jews of 1st Century Palestine.

These are very impressive. I can easily see Christ looking as he does here, serene, loving, welcoming. Confucius too. Olive Ann Oatman I was not familiar with at all but now I will research her story, apropos for me as I have been tracing the Native American relations in my family tree lately. The older version of Morrison is amazing, and for those who believe that Jim merely dropped out to stage his death instead of having died at age 27, this may give them an idea of how he would appear.
I have one challenge for you, and I am not certain if you've already done it; if so please disregard. I've seen the amazing videos of so many historical figures either age progressed for recent figures who've died young, or given a real life face in terms of those from before photography or in its earlier stages. I am a definite history buff, and I would like to know if you could create a realistic image of Charles/Carlos II of Spain. You are likely familiar with his story as the last Habsburg king of Spain, who suffered all manner of deformities and health issues from generations of family inbreeding. The paintings done of him would have tried to show him in as flattering a light as possible, and even those can only do so much. I would be curious to see an attempt to render what the man actually did look like.
Thanks so much for these, and please keep up the great work!

Jim Morrison's dad, Rear Admiral Morrison was the Admiral in charge during the false flag Gulf of Tonkin Incident. It is because of Jim' Morrison's dad that escalated exponentially the USA involvement in the Vietnam War.
The Morrison Family has blood on their hands...and deep down inside, Jim Morrison had to have known. I think it's the reason why he dramatically altered his appearance, gaining a lot of weight and growing facial hair hiding his face, and started being very reclusive...the Vietnam soldiers were coming back home...and not very pleased about being drafted into the US Military fighting a senseless war.

I love this channel and your hard work. I admire how beautiful these art works are and how you can make them seem more lifelike. However I think people need to remember that artists' had "creative licensing" back then and the wealthier the people were the more they could pay for the artist to change them in paintings. Some went as far as to paint them completely different to how they looked in real life.

I love when people make a big deal about the depiction of Jesus as though it's some big gotcha for Christians to see Jesus as the Semitic man he actually was. Like, everyone -- literally everyone -- knows Jesus was a middle-eastern Jew. We all know what Semitic people look like. But the fact of the matter is that every culture where Christianity has been adopted tends to depict Jesus according to their own features. I've seen Jesus depicted as Japanese, African, Slavic, Metzito... and frankly that's how it should be. He is all of us, and it fully in the spirit of Christianity that his followers see themselves in him.
Only bullshit atheists get off on pointing out that Jesus the historical figure was middle eastern, as though nobody knew that -- and as if it even matters.

    • @brcage
      @brcage 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Actually all virtue signaling aside from racist poc, and white guilt enthusiasts, theres no reason to say he didnt have green or blue eyes, and middle easterners have had light eyes in the regions where jesus lived and taught, for thousands of years. Infact green eyes are said to originate in Iran.

Truly mind blowing to bring life to people who have been died for century's. We see them through painting that are at best (poor) in many cases in bringing to life a human painting. So we never truly see the depth of beauty of human faces until now. Its sad in many cases because many of them come to a very brutal end. Thank you for doing such amazing things..
