    Let's go! I've been saying "SWAM" like the past tense of swim. LOL

    SWAM instruments should not be treated like a virtual instruments. We need to play SWAM Sax like a Sax playe with growl etc, Violin like a violin player with vibrato etc.
    So we need to LEARN how a real player plays that physical instrument.
    This is what makes me feel like a real player when I play SWAM instrument. This is the beauty of physical modeling which AudioModeling nailed it. Great job!!!
    Looking for world instrument series.. Possibilities unlimited....

    This content is wonderful! Congratulations to the Audio Modeling team once again, you are revolutionaries. The language of the video is great too!
    Real-time sound modeling is really next level. Especially when it's done by combining the power of synthesis with programming done by real musicians. And the result is the only truly playable orchestral virtual instruments to date.
    The beginning of this video series is very important to educate the music technology community about the great advantages of sound modeling over sampling.
    It's also important to mention a part of the producers who don't play and prefer to use audio and MIDI loops. So maybe it's a good addition to the SWAM instruments to include a pack of MIDI loops, maybe downloaded separately, maybe included in the interface itself.
    I can't wait to try out the new instruments you guys say you're making: World Instruments and Ensembles :) I'm really hoping you guys are making guitars :)

    I have an 81-key keyboard and like playing really low notes and quickly playing really high notes. Why is the range so small and do I really have to use transpose buttons to get to lower octaves?

    • @AudioModeling
      @AudioModeling  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Because it’s the correct range of the real counterpart instrument

      When I play with any VST, I can hit any key on my keyboard and get a low or high sound. Is there a way to extend the range in SWAM Saxaphone? Do most just use a baritone sax to get the low notes and soprano sax to get the high notes?

    Great content! I would love to see some advanced stuff - especially as someone who doesn't play a wind instrument. For example - formant. I had to look up what it is - but what does a value of -6.0 *mean*? Can/should it change over notes? Within the same note? What's harmonic structure, and how often should it change to feel realistic? Are there non-obvious interactions between parameters, that someone who only knows how to play a piano, wouldn't know about?

      Hi @Sengin31 , we have published advanced contents for Strings an Brass on our channel (e.g. th-cam.com/video/8gKzjsRDx2s/w-d-xo.html , th-cam.com/video/GfLGnPoLmBg/w-d-xo.html ). We will do it for Woodwinds as well.
      Back to your specific questions, firstly, I invite you to read the User Manual, as it describes each parameter.
      Formant: it's mostly related on how the instrument's reed is covered by the player's mouth. The value is a percentage of frequency shift around the non-shifted average value.
      It usually can be static, some user controls it expressively to provide a more "alive" sound.
      Harmonic Structure: it's the balance between even and odd harmonics. This is not related to any specific physical dimension or behavior, it's a sound design tool to be used to get a different tone. Just play around with it to find the timbre you like mostly; my suggestion is to avoid extreme values.

    Does SWAM iOS stand alone version could be played by GeoShred control ? (Not Geo-Swam)

      Of course! We provide a specific MIDI Preset. There is a specific video (tech notes) by moForte that explains the configuration very well

    Thank you all for your effort. I have an idea why you don't produce Arabic sounds like the ney Arabic and the kawala and the guitar bass thank you

      Hi Youssef. We don’t produce such instruments yet just because there are ongoing developments already planned years ago.
      After the String Ensembles we will start working on “world” instruments.

    Any plans for an android release? (Pls say yes🤞)

    • @AudioModeling
      @AudioModeling  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Android is not ready for such applications yet.
      Is not reliable for realtime cpu-intensive models, there is not a plugin format framework as AUv3 or VST, most devices have too much latency…
