Reducing batch size doesn’t mean your customer is always ready to pick order once it’s ready. No JIT in real world so what if my customer Lot size us troubling me to decide my lean batch size
Hi Ecollab - If you reduce your leadtime from 4 weeks to 1 week by setting new batch sizes etc. Initially your customers would still expect a 4 leadtime. But then it's up to your sales to go out a sell a 1 week lead time and smash your competitors....

Set up is the time it takes to change a machine to produce a different product. If this time is very long then you want to run a large batch size...
