For everyone whose lights are not operating properly, the circuit diagram has a problem. The resistor should be connected with the pin 3 of second IC and then the anode of green led. That is the mistake in the circuit. In the circuit diagram, resistor is connected to the ground at the end, which is wrong. Also I used 470 ohm with red led, 220 ohm with yellow led and again 220 ohm with green led.I hope it helps, best of luck.

Hey add 3.3k and 100ohm resistor in series with the 2nd capacitor,since when i made connection i faced problem of both red and green led are on at the same time but i tried above solution by increasing some resistance of 2nd capacitor from pin 2 on 2nd ic and it works perfectly

I set it up with a bridge rectifier and an LM2596 buck convertor so I can trim the output voltage but it doesn't work. Any idea on this would be appreciated.
Just to warn you, be careful what capacitor voltage you use. I used a 35 volt capacitor and it destroyed the 555 timer. This guy used 16 volt capacitor. Just a heads up

I built this on a PCB. When I hook up power, the green led goes on for a while..then it goes off...none of the other LEDs go on...and then the green comes on again.... What should I check? Thank-you
