    Great video. I have downloaded the pbix file and in the measure [New/Returning Customer Flag ] the VAR ReturningCustomer = AND( NOT(FirstOrderDate >= MinFilteredDate); FirstOrderDate

    Nice video! Thank you very much. I have one question, what would be the logic for finding lost customers, considering a 90 days churn date?

    This is very helpful. I am trying to achieve the same thing but instead of single select, I want to have multi-select on a measure.. How can I achieve that?

    • @HavensConsulting
      @HavensConsulting  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's an option to toggle multi select in the slicer settings under the format pane. Do you mean that?

  • @elisaul4770
    @elisaul4770 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I searched through tens of forums to find this! Exactly what I need. Is there a way to use that to filter all pages in the report?

    • @HavensConsulting
      @HavensConsulting  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any filter placed in the report well on the filters pane would filter all pages and objects in the report.

  • @uniquemonikor
    @uniquemonikor 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video. Is it possible for that toggle to also affect data displayed in the column chart?

    • @HavensConsulting
      @HavensConsulting  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely, but the measure filter would be a different setup than this video, where the goal is just to filter the slicer below it. Measures can filter basically any visual as long as it's filters are configured correctly to result (usually) in a 0 or 1 flag, then add that as a visual filter and = 1

    • @uniquemonikor
      @uniquemonikor 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HavensConsulting Can you give a quick idea of what those changes would be? Can the same measure filter be used to drive results on BOTH the table and visual?

    • @HavensConsulting
      @HavensConsulting  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@uniquemonikor unfortunately I'd need to revisit the file and the calculations. I made a note to follow up with it but it'll be a while before I'll have time to dig into the file from this video (it's been a few years since I made it)

    Hi, i tried this :
    Nb customers Statut =
    CALCULATE(DISTINCTCOUNT(Data[Customer Name]),FILTER(Data,[New/Returning Toggle]=1))
    he gives the number total of my customer ?

  • @texmexdragon2160
    @texmexdragon2160 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Reid - How would you handle a scenario where your Order Date is in an inactive relationship with the date table? That is our setup...we use "due date" as the active date table relationship between our sales table and our date table. Can USERELATIONSHIP be inserted somewhere in these measures?

    • @HavensConsulting
      @HavensConsulting  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn't think you'd need to? If you're calculating the first date off the fact table in the first variable. It isn't reliant on a relationship yet. Just retrieving that date. Have you tried it using your Due Date and what was the results? It's been about three years since I published this so a little rusty on the logic, haha.

    amazing calculation!
    is there a way to take the New/Returning Flag and count how many new customers i have in that selected time?

    • @HavensConsulting
      @HavensConsulting  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Certainly! Unfortunately I don't have the time to write out the measure to do this in DAX. But this is something that can certainly be accomplished through a combination of CALCULATE and applying some filters to account for New/Returning

      @@HavensConsulting Hi, like Adam asks, i tried to write this measure to count the number of customers, but i have a error message because i would like to filter on a measure :
      CALCULATE(
      DISTINCTCOUNT(Data[CustomerName]),
      [New Returning Customers Toggle]=1)
      Could you help me please ?

    • @HavensConsulting
      @HavensConsulting  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@coollehavre If you use a measure in the filter section of calculate. You'll need to use the FILTER function for advanced filter scenarios (such as filter by measure). regular filters need to be boolean.
