Great series, you guys, thank you for all the content you put out.
I actually just ran Rita through the Thousand Shapes of Horror last night, and she was great for stalling at the top of the stairs in Act 2 while the others worked their way down. Then with her kick flip and track shoes, quickly caught up when it was time to go.
I love you boys anyway, but these new player deck videos are so great. I love how you even go cycle by cycle to help people who don't own everything. These videos are just a fundamental good for the community. It might actually just be me who is each of your arkham boyfriends. Stay safe and healthy!
I think Rita has some really untapped potential when combined with a seeker who decides to try out Deciphered Reality. It can make certain scenarios a walk in the park, such as the entire Dunwich Legacy or many of the forgotten age scenarios
I haven't actually played Rita yet, but I always assumed her deckbuilding options were the clue to what the designers intended for her:
She is the Investigator built to utilize all the tricks and traps. She can run around the board with impunity laying lures and booby traps for enemies, keeping them preoccupied while her team takes care of the other threats.
I'm going to play her in one of the Dreameater campaigns. Test out that build without committing to a full 8-scenarios.
Two Rogue cards from the Dunwich Legacy (which Rita can use because of the Trick trait) - Cheap Shot and Ace in the Hole - are excellent in a Rita deck. Cheap shot is handy if you happen to be caught by an enemy. As for Ace in the Hole, three additional actions in a turn is never bad.
I like the slightly fightier Rita. I played her as a full evader and it was rough. I could move all over the map with track shoes, but couldn't actually do something useful.
Ornate Bow is great for her. Not only does she attack at a base 7, but 3 damage is coincidentally exactly what Hoods has.
Pete Sylvestre is also great. He shores up her low sanity and gives her even more feet.
Act of Desperation here feels kinda weird. Your weapons don't have that high a cost, and they don't use charges, so you don't really have a good reason to throw them away instead of using them
