You rock - never would have noticed that until you pointed it out...good eye! I have to say the stripes really do look good. Would love to see the old black RTR hood vents you had on Carnage a bit ago. I think they would really look good with the black stripes...just my opinion. As always keep up the fantastic work!!

Good job Alex. Never been a huge fan of stripes but to each their own ;) I think it looks better without the white pin stripe as there’s nothing else white on your car. I’d personally wrap the mirrors and roof gloss black and ditch the white pinstripe. If you are adamant about the pinstripe...add a black one offset about 1/8” from edge of stripes.

When visiting Walmart. I learned the hard way to park at the end of the lot and walk. Looking up the word perfectionist. You're picture is shown, lol. Nice job with the install. it was hard to tell before how far off the original strip was, but it looks great. You made it look to easy. Never worked with a wrap that had air release. That has to be a big help with eliminating bubbles. Thanks for sharing.

Black wrapped roof would look amazing! My car is rocking Ford’s blackout package which includes the painted roof but if it didn’t, I would still have wrapped it! Do it! Love the DIY nature of you’re channel! If you want something done right, do it yourself! Great video!

I am about to buy a 2019 GT that has blue pin stripes on it, I want to remove them immediately and go stripeless. How did you go about removing them? I can't find anything current, all the stuff I can find is pretty old.
I'm very picky as well how things are put together. I did professional car interior restorations, show cars, boat sails, tonneau covers etc. for years long ago. One little tip to help you for another time is to use the 1" line on your tape measure as your starting point instead of the clip on the end of the tape measure. It keeps the tape measure flat this way, instead of the hook end being up high and the other end flat. The hook end of a tape moves back and forth to, not helping at all!! Closer yet is making the mark with the outer or inner edge of the black line on the tape. At the other end use the same side of the line as the first measurement. (Yep even the width of the line on the tape measure can make things unequal for super tight tolerances. Ask a carpenter about that when they are cutting and lining up the inner and outer tooth of the saw blade to the edge of that pencil mark instead of just cutting down the line.) Use a soft lead pencil for your measurement marks, sharpened to a perfect point. It rubs off easily with your finger afterwards. You then align your pencil mark measurements down the hood to form a perfect line end to end. Use auto painters tape.(thin and leaves no residue) Stick it to the outside edge of your marks lining them up down the hood. You now have a perfect guide with no guesswork or remeasuring all the way down to install the vinyl inside the 3M tape line you made. Another simple tip that helps for aligning the hood stripe to the bumper stripe below is to tape a length of fishing line exactly on the edge of your hood vinyl strip on both sides. Use a split shot weight on the other end of the fishing line. It will hang perfectly vertical to form a line to install the next piece of vinyl down on the bumper.But still find points to measure using the same technique stated earlier to double check. Sorry, long post, easier for me to show than explain. Just a couple of old school simple tips for this type of work. Hope I made some sense. You did great on your own for sure as always. Being a perfectionist really shows our pride in what we do no matter how long it takes. Its why I watch your channel. If only I had my eagle eyesight back again...grrr! Looks awesome!!

Hey Guys, tell me what you think. I have a lightning blue mustang GT with a black top only. I want to add stripes... how bad would it look with a black top and racing strips. No racing strip on top of the black top.

My GT 350 came with stripe delete. I’ve been thinking about putting stripes on it for a while now. Big Worm graphics was what I was looking at getting. Seeing your video confirmed that they make a quality stripe
It drove me crazy watching that guy at the sign shop install the stripes outside! He also seemed a little careless with the metal end of the tape measure! Anyways, you did a good job man!

good job. i have a hood stinger on my z06 and i want to take it off and replace with the Jake Stinger. the only problem is that the clear film is over the stinger. i think the clear film will come off very well and hopefully the stinger will as well. any insights on how to proceed on my mission ?

Good job!! I didn't even notice that it was crooked! Lol. If you want my opinion, don't go with a full roof wrap now because it will look way wrong with the stripes. Mirrors yes but roof, no. Maybe do a rocker panel stripe too? It could say "Carnage" on the front part instead of GT or Mustang or whatever. Just an idea lol. Great vid bro, later!

Looks nice! One note original Mustang stripes were not perfectly parallel or equal in width from front to back. They slightly followed the lines of the car. I see a lot of people think they were equal width from front to rear but that was not the case.
While you did an amazing job, your Mustang was badass to begin with. Love how you greet your baby. I have a ’19 Mustang convertible….sometimes I stand back in awe and disbelief that it’s really mine. 😍

I wish I knew about this product and how easy it was when I plasti dipped gt500 stripes on my car... I spent hours with a chalk line and painters tape trying to get everything centered, lol...

I noticed how you could see the orange peel through the vinyl (the reflection from the shop light ), too bad you didn’t think of wet sanding the paint smooth to a mirror finish that way that orange peel would be gone and the decal would look smooth, not saying you have to do the whole hood just where the decal lays down, but that would require a little more time.
I have to remove my stripes any recommendations? What materials to use????

Zander13 ; Look at it this way . The professional installer didn't mess up . He just showed you how to install the vinyl and, how it can be installed not centered. In life, our mistakes are our best lessons learned. On your video the stripe looked good but I wasn't there to see it in person. Our eyes will let us know whats not quite right. I am in Australia bought a new mustang gt that never showed up yet but Ford says it's still coming hahaha so I saw a 21 gt built in 22 with 4000 kms on it $73500 I agreed on remember this is Australia problem is it has stripes but I don't know if I like it it's grabber yellow

At bottom of bumper it was off about 1 1/2 inch
I got my stripes done twice,seperate pinstripe just didn't work,looked crooked and wasn't happy.A printed stripe and pinstripe in one nailed it

It wasn't a kit,i got my local graphics guy to print up a white stripe with black pinstripe edge in 3M vinyl to resemble the GT350 stripe(which we dont get here in the UK)Any company that lays a stripe and a seperate pinstripe next to it struggles to get the line right.I know i had it done 3 times before i was happy lol.A good graphics/wrapping company should be able to do it.
So I’m getting quoted 750$ to get the stripe kit installed. I’m thinking of just trying to do it myself

No advantage. Wet install allows for moving of the material before water is squeezed out

I have a handicap Placher so I park in the handicap spots they’re nice and widemno worrying about door dents! But I am truly handicapped so it’s not like I’m pulling some kind of shit!
I ripped off a stripe on my custom painted fiberglass hood and paint came off with it 😩.. I had to sand the bad spots down and get fatter stripes to cover it..

Lol the gap at the top of the stripes is more narrow than between the hood vents. You doing it the hard way homes. Just find the center line of the car and run a piece of masking tape down the centerline of the whole car. You need two rolls of stripe not these silly kits and stay on either side of the tape. Easy you measuring way too much
The only problem with vinyl stripes is polish it always is a "B" to get it off the edge, Looks good though and its your car you are happy now so the next part is to get the rest of the R.
Amen to that! I had to wait to get mine ceramic coated til AFTER carbon fiber stripes on mine. And I ended up with some samage to mine from paint correction process. 😲😲😞😞

Yeah that white pinstripe looks bad. I dont know why people get it. I suppose they get it because they can do anything they like and its their car to add a white pinstripe to the black racing stripe.. The black stripe looks sweet though.
