  • Nothing worse than blisters! You should have moleskin or similar for them, but if you get caught out, here’s another great reason to have Duct Tape in your kit or a bit in your EDC even. I prefer Gorilla brand tape, myself. Hope it helps!

Great advice. When out in the woods and a "hot spot" develops, if you have no means of taking care of it, here is an alternative from the woods. The white powder that is on the side of Aspen trees can be used as an anti abrasion compound or a lubricant. The powder can be rubbed off the tree with a sock turned wrong side out and the hand inserted in the area of the sock that corresponds to the hot spot area of the foot. With the hand in the sock, rub the tree or trees so as to get the sock good and "dusty" in the problem area. Now put the sock back on and abrasion in that area will be much reduced.

Far North Bushcraft And Survival I remember your video on that. What does the forest not provide, eh? Thanks for watching and the reminder.

Nice Gorilla hack. One more reason to keep some of that stuff in the go bag or kit. Cheers.

North Woods Rat if you don’t reverse it, it pulls off the skin from your blister. Don’t ask me how I know this. LOL. Take care.

Thanks for this trick. It certainly improved my situation. Although, I may have used too much tape around my foot.
