You’re added in the lists of my favorite coffee youtuber. You’ve made very nice and useful VDO’s. Thank you very much and look forward for more to come!
I would definitely be interested in one if it becomes available in glass. I’ve dumped all plastic anything that comes into contact with heat. Since my Hario V60 is glass I would believe that they would also release a glass version
I got excited when I saw the thumbnail because I thought it was going to be more of a flat bottom, Orea-style brewer, but then I saw that it was basically a Melitta, and I got a little disappointed. In my experience with brewers of that shape, you get a lot of consistency, but you also pretty quickly plateau in terms of what you can get out of it. It feels like every time I brew a coffee it tastes the same as the last time I brewed it, but I can never push it to a level that I can with a V60 or a flat bottom dripper.
@@skyscraper5910 I use a Fellow Stagg X regularly and I’ve never had a clog. I use lighter roasted coffees though, so a longer extraction usually helps.
Loving your channel. Picked up a Ascaso Duo because of you and paired it with a Vario VS3 because I can't wait any longer for my Timemore 078S. LOL! Wondering if you are trying in any way to replicate pour over style coffee with your Ascaso Duo. It would be great to see some experimentation. Also it's very nice to see the evolution of your production quality. Your kitchen is so dialed. Cheers from the West Coast Eh.
It's seems nice, very beautiful like every brewer that Hario does. But Melitta already have that one, it's exactly like that, you can Google it's call Melitta N2, two holes just like this one, and have in plastic or ceramic, i don't like ceramic but is very beautiful. If is around $15 definitely gonna buy, more then that no way. The Melitta N2 is around $12 where i live. But looks like a gimmicky gor me, but it's Hario so certainly a lot of people are gonna to buy.
I got a dripper like that, only difference is it doesn't have spiral lines, but straight lines, like the Cafec Arita. It was dirt cheap, like 2 dollars. The 2 hole design is very forgiving and you get a good cup everytime. IMHO, for an entry level dripper, I don't think the Hario Pegasus is worth 15 dollars when I can get the same results with the one I got.
Wow!They reinvented the Melitta FIlter.
My thoughts exactly 😂

I would like to see this compared to the old-school Melita, which is what this reminds me of. That was my first pour-over dripper 40 years ago.
I should get a super vintage melita and test it!
3 holes instead of 2, might get better flow 🤷♂️
@@javi_gonzoexactly! Melitta has quite fast flow!
Great video! Would love to see you do a shootout with the Pegasus vs. the Mugen.
Oh nice! I think I bought one of those a while back. Yes, just looked, I did. Mine has 3 holes though. Must mean better flow. Works just ok.
I bought it and didn’t expect it too much but it becomes my daily driver since.
Thanks. Few times I laughed loud. I appreciate the autoirony.
Hahahaha we have to laugh at ourselves right?

If not made of glass, then at least made of ceramic or metal.

Flat bottoms blow. Always get clogged.

Orea doesn’t stall for me. Most others do, unless you center pour last about 50g in center.
@@skyscraper5910 there's a b75 timemore brewer. It never clogs. Big openings in the bottom like yo momma 😂
2:43 I can see your Niche crying in the background
This basically looks like a plastic version of the Beehouse dripper. It also has the two holes and uses a melitta filter.

I'll definitely get it, but it's not available in Europe yet.

What cup are you using ? :)
This replacing The Mugen?
I don’t think so. But for v60 style coffee that’s easier, IMO I prefer this over the Mugen
I thought for one moment that would be a Melitta with a large Hole in the bottom.
It's looks like Melita.
Yup basically a melitta x v60!
Please get a lazy Susan to spin the coffee’s rather than need to do all that switch stuff.
Hario, thanks but no thanks.
