How To Punish Jigglypuff’s Rest Set Ups With Bayonetta. [Smash Ultimate Bayonetta]

  • It’s going to be easier for the Bayonetta mains out there, and much harder for the Jigglypuff mains in the Bayo vs. Puff match up.
Sequence to the combo is as follow:
Hit the opponent as close possible with
    DABK(Downwards After Burner Kick)
    ⬇️
Full first JCWT(Jump Cancel Witch Twist)
    ⬇️
Full second JCWT(Jump Cancel Witch Twist)
    ⬇️❌
Forward air 1-2-3 (although the second Witch Twist should have K.O off screen)
If done correctly, the combo itself can be Di by majority of the cast if the opponent knows how to properly Di Witch Twist, however, in Puffs case, not exactly.
Unfortunately even if Jigglypuff tries to SDI out it catches every possible area she can move around from out of Witch Twist being so floaty.
Not properly extending both Witch Twist does not take them to the blast zone at earlier percents. So practicing Jump cancelling in general is recommended.
    Enjoy!

Every Bayonetta needs to at least fit this in their arsenal of combos if they ever encounter a Jigglypuff to fight against.
Must know that this is only possible with full jump cancelling both Witch Twist.
And hitting DABK as close as possible for little room to SDI.
How do you like the editing in this one?
Let me know if you would like to see more of it in future videos.
Hope everyone is having a good holiday season and furthermore,
    Enjoy!

0:14 The fact that Bayo can do that against quite a few characters is one of the many reasons I consider Yoshi's to be arguably her best stage

Love this. I already do this a lot against main puffs in my country and they all fear me

@@ciar886 I THOUGHT SO. One of the most iconic songs in the franchise. Also thanks for the amazing bayo content as always

Is this DI dependent or is this just a Puff-specific setup?

      Chicken Nugget
      Jigglypuff specifically.
It works on other characters but rage/DI is dependent!
Puff specifically, with or without DI, she can’t seem to get out of it.
The DWTs catches her DI out and down, regardless.
And if they DI Up, the Witch Twist still catches her since she’s so floaty.

if they sdi im pretty sure the wtws wouldnt be true. thats when you could follow up the first wtw with a double jump abk into b reverse 2nd wtw.

Tav Torres See, that’s what I thought too at first.
But with Puff (Just Puff) it’s different.
I had first try this out offline on CPUs and see if SDI helps for her to get out of it.
I also tested this out with human players both off line and online.
26 Jigglypuff players to be exact
      17 online
      8 offline
So I can confirm that while yes, they can SDI out, but to the point that she’s still going to be trapped into a combo, nether-less.
If they SDI up, Double Witch Twist still catches the DI.
Down and away(which is usually the most prompt type of DI) still lands her into WT into ABK. Which you can still catch and JCWT the second Witch Twist.
      And like I said before,
If you notice when before I start the DABK I get as close as possible. This is so when the initial hit starts, she won’t be able to get out of it as easily. Initially trapping the Jigglypuff into death.
If you start off pronouncing the DABK obviously you’ll leave the opponent with more room to SDI.

But Rage just blows SDI right out of the door lmao.
