No way! Get outta here! :O Since you have these units you don't need to go for the Olberic tank strategy. You can just break Yan Long again before he gets to attack you. I didn't do it here because I am an idiot and missed it. Someone else pointed it out to me lol.

I still don't know why my WrathA1 deal less damage than your Fiore and if I have Ophilia I think my team more less depend on rng. Anyway great video as always. Thank again.
Wrath A1 should deal more, but the reason I have Fiore here is because of debuffing 20% P.Def down. If you didn't use Wrath's def-down attack it might explain why. I suggest replacing Fiore with Lionel if you have him (with his 3-hit armor break), and use Wrath instead of Tressa (with priority he can initiate break).
Awesome strategy, I don't have Tressa or Ophillia and had to replace them with Viola (landed on her after trying many characters in that slot) and Agnes, without Tressa I was lacking a bit of damage and got him to like 5% of health a lot of times, and without Ophillia I had to rely on not getting crited when I max boosted defend with olberic so he would survive with like 100 HP
Did it work for you? You could also have Agnes cast revive if she is slower than Yan Long’s last attack. I guess it’s a bit of a stretch. She could also revive him later I suppose.
@@EmpyreanSky yes I finally defeated him last night, I had Olberic/Lynnette, Fiore/Agnes/, A2/Viola, 2B/Therion and switched some moves around but it was basically the same strategy For the first break I would max boost with 2B in turn 4 and next turn switch to Therion for him to break and use Olberic, Fiore and 2Bs ultimates in the next turn Wich did a ton of damage. For the next break it was usually olberick normal attack X3, trifold with Fiore, double burst with Viola, and trifold with 2B. Next turn was the only RNG heavy turn in the fight, max defend with Olberic, cure all X3 with Agnes (she was slower than Yan long so she was using it between his last 2 attacks) and this is where I was reallying and Yan Long not criting Olberic that much, viola and Therion breaking the crows. Next turn was breaking and defeating Yan Long and then dealing with crows for like 11 turns lol. Thank you for the video, I definitely wouldn't have thought of that strat on my own
I just beat him in 17 turns after like 30+ tries, mainly because he just rekt my Lynette out right on turn 2. At first, I'm using Tressa too but switched out to Pia for her ultimate instead due to not enough damage from my DPS. Mainly because every 5* but Fiore is at A0, I don't have either Theo or Therion, so I have to use Alfyn and Lumis to beat the crows, I have no Lars or Olberic either. Although, I'm very lucky to pull both 2B and A2 on 3rd multi pull, otherwise I can't beat the race at all.
Please do a budget video, there are people doing with 4 stars but they don't upload the full video... I didn't have the same luck as you so my nier members are all A0 lol, it means... Orly? Could you show me those videos? Their composition alone could give me a hint. This cup was so difficult for me. A full 4 star team is out of the question at this time. Maybe with fortune/soul weapons coming later, but not now. It is MAYBE possible with four 5*s, but I am confident that trying to put together a video like that will give me a seizure.

If you don’t have Fiore do you have Lionel or Lars? Otherwise replace her with Edea/Kouren. Only thing is, without Olberic it won’t be as safe, so you’ll have to rely on a little luck.
I absolutely hate this guy. That attack when he gets a seizure and do 10 random hits can seriously go to hell. Worse yet I don’t have Ophilla, so that sweet healing + buff is out of the question. I was lucky enough to get 2B with 3 awakening stones, so i will try again with her.
Yeah me too. RNG is not a good mechanic, and it took so much effort and specific units just to remove the luck factor. If you don't have Ophilia you can use Agnes or Alfyn, or any healer with revive (dunno if Soleil has it).
Come to think of it, my roaster is severely lacking in clerics because i was relying heavily on Theo and Lumis. My clerics: Millard, Agnese, Stead and Molrusso. I only used Millard because he was my first character and I have no idea about the rest lool. But i got enough nuts to level up one of them to 90. Which should I choose?
@@DarkJ1425 depends on what you need. Agnes stands out, having revive, regen, decent wind spells and utility that allows her to cover many roles. Take stead of you desperately need a Dark nuker to your team. Molrusso is a very strong healer, and a fine wind breaker, but has an otherwise bland kit.
I had a similar experience. My first 180 pulls I got only an Eliza dupe and a H'aanit. 2B didn't arrive until the 190th, and A2 arrived at the very last 200th pull lol! And then I used the pity seal of course. This banner is especially bad if you want only one unit, so most of us are forced to go all the way.
@@SephirothTwitch Yan Long is hard. He is balanced around A3 five stars. This is evident from whale footage, as the difficulty seems to be on par with previous arena champions when all units have well over 4k health.
Yan Long sort of made 4 stars obsolete... :( They don't have enough damage to take him out in the later phases, and their HP (even at awakening 3) can't endure his attacks.

Hehehe yeah you are right, but I try to diversify! Can't use Odette for EVERY video x) This clear came out of an attempt to 1-break YL with the nier units. If I had W'ludai, Lars or A4 accessories it could have worked, as I lacked the damage to clear the final 5%.

The other way to do it is to class them up through class seals. You'll see what materials you need by going into their status page under "Learn Skill". All these materials drop from hunts where the golden seal is incredibly rare. You can also obtain this golden seal through the Exchange for 30 000 silver shards.

@@lanselocher9029 Doh! Sorry I didn't use my eyes and read properly. Unfortunately you can only gain awakening stones from dupes at the moment. Arena champions will get their awakening stones from the job towers coming soon. And JP can trade any awakening stone of choice for 6 others in the Exchange, but we don't know when this feature will be implemented for us. Hope I answered your question this time.
wow, thanks for the video LOL edit: wow A2 and 2B....I tried hard but got no tressa, so I rely heavily on therion to initiate break.....still haven't succeeded yet. but I will see what I can do. tried using alfyn/lynete, kouren/therion, ophilia/fiore, odette/eliza. only got to half HP and dead....any idea on how to do this? I tried using 4 attacker with 2B later on after I level her up.....tried to go odette/lynete, 2B/alfyn, fiore/ophilia, kouren/therion. the idea is to use all damage for the first 50% hp....hopefully this work.
It is a good idea to pair the break initiator (in your case Therion) with Lynette, and pair Alfyn with Kouren. That will mirror this strategy better. Also, since you don't have Olberic I suggest to stop right before the 50% threshold. He will lock some weaknesses, but he will do one less attack, making for easier survival. Then on the next break you unleash everything, so save your ultimates for this.
Fight the Auguste/Herminia/Tytos lvl 90 rematches and sell the loot in the exchange under "Fragments of Greed". You can buy it there with enough fragments. It is also a rare-drop from Tytos lvl 90.

Yeah use Kouren instead of 2B and change Tressa with Lars and you'll do even more damage! If you haven't got Alfyn, Agnes or Ophilia you could just use a regular healer and luck yourself out!

@@Andyofsuh Yes that would work, but lacking revive means you need to rely on a little luck. But you should be able to clear it. Alternatively you can bring Lianna for revive, but then you need to find a way to time your heals. Bringing Theo also has the added effect of easily finishing the crows.
@@RaphaelYuriGame Before this clear I attempted a more budget version. I got through the crow phase several times with this team, but in the end lacked the dps to finish him off before he killed me. But in short, I used Viola to debuff atk on Yan Long nearly every turn until the crows were dead. I also used Glossom for his defense buffs. Together it was easy to survive Yan Long's random onslaught, but it came at the cost of DPS. I've seen JP players do this so it is possible, but it requires some RNG.
His kit is a little bit all over the place. But I guess he is useful in many situations. I had to go all the way to 190 pulls before I got my first 2B, and at 200 I got my A2, so it wasn't a particularly good run. But being able to pity makes a lot of difference!

Yes absolutely! From my own experience it was about 50% success rate without his Defend skill, so you'll be fine :)

Yes Kouren will do, especially if lvl 100. Just make sure you can finish off the crows afterwards.

@@RaphaelYuriGame Before this clear I attempted a more budget version. I got through the crow phase several times with this team, but in the end lacked the dps to finish him off before he killed me. But in short, I used Viola to debuff atk on Yan Long nearly every turn until the crows were dead. I also used Glossom for his defense buffs. Together it was easy to survive Yan Long's random onslaught, but it came at the cost of DPS. I've seen JP players do this so it is possible, but it requires some RNG.

His kit is a little bit all over the place. But I guess he is useful in many situations. I had to go all the way to 190 pulls before I got my first 2B, and at 200 I got my A2, so it wasn't a particularly good run. But being able to pity makes a lot of difference!
