Didn’t know if they were so we just did a quick google search and it’s saying they’re not recommended to eat bc of possible cituatera poisoning. Just wondering what everyone else is doing when they hook up on them too. Really fun to catch though!!

I forgot to tell you, I hooked into a 5ft mako on the seaforth when we were out there on my bass rod throwing a swim bait, it jumped and broke my line...I almost shit my dress!
Dang man, what am I doing wrong? I was using the same lures (in different colors) even in the same spot and all I caught were the rocks and weeds. Any advice on how to not snag the rocks as often?
I have to say Bear G. I don't like your Intro with all the innuendos and name-calling, fortunately, I can fast forward and i truly like the fishing. I remember the first time I fished there the navy was running two small boots up the channel from point Loma. I noticed they had like a diver-down flag on the rear boat. They slowed down in front of where I was fishing near the Sheraton and a Dolphin jumped out of the water onto a platform on the rear boat. The seamen did something to the dolphin's tracking gear or something and then pushes the dolphin off the platform back into the bay and they continued on. Has anyone else ever seen this? It would be cool if you get a Video to post it hear?
I was at that spot today with my buddy, he lives 5 minutes away. I managed to land 7 or 8 today and 6 yesterday at spanish landing, not bad for my first time out here. Caught them all on tackle I make. He skunked he was using major craft jig paras lol. #Alotackle all day everyday (Artificial Lures Only). I asked my buddy "where is the spot Bearz G fishes at where you park your car and fish at the rocks I want to go there" lol
Last Monday in front of Thomas Hands, I caught a 6 ft thresher on my kayak. I turned it loose to fight another day. Section 8 fishing. Mad Anglers.

Hooked a thresher on Tuesday October 1st at the first parking by Tom Hams. Got my butt kicked and lost it, thresher tail out of the water and all.
I saw a 5-6 foot thresher shark breach the Camp Pendleton Boat Basin just Monday
