I think it turned out great! I saw a desk done on another channel with stencils. She was going for the look of bone inlay. It was gorgeous too. Her result reminded me more of the design on a bandana. It had a paisley print and geometric borders. I'd love to try a stencil. I have a low dresser with 3 long drawers that I think would be perfect and a good starter piece. Thanks for the inspiration!! Jo
Yes! I've seen those bone inlay projects. Check out the link under my video called "Ikat Inlay Dresser"- it's one of those. They make stencils to replicate that look. Good luck with your creative project!!
Do you scroll through furniture websites dreaming of buying certain pieces? Which stores/sites are your favorite to drool over? Do you ever think of trying your own knock-off?
It took me several days, working in short batches of time. Waiting for the paint to dry before you put the stencil on to paint the next bit is what takes the longest; having a hairdryer handy helps. Thanks for watching!!
Wow, what in incredible conversion!! Loved the finished product. Are you going to sell that piece or keep it. How much was the piece when you bought it, and how much do you think you can get for it?
I bought the dresser for $80 and bought new hardware- it has 16 pulls and I got them for about $2 each I think. Not sure if I'll sell or keep it yet. I'll probably list it pretty high if I do because it took some time AND I'm not sure I want to part with it ;-)
Incredible!!
Thank you Joy!!!

Congrats on this furniture flip, it's my favorite so far. How long would that take to do if I was trying to do my own Anthropologie 'knock off' piece?
