NOTHING sounds better than an E92 V8 after a primary decat and 4 pipe exhaust mod! Bought mine with 16k miles in 2016. Now has 33k and still makes me smile every time i drive it.
When the mic was down, it sounded... better? huh! Might just be me going deaf... Great car!! Wish I had the wonga to afford one of those

Have just bought a 2008 E92 M3, a manual example with 49K miles & EDC. Loving it so far.
I replaced a v8 6 series for a 4.0l.m3. I almost love the M3 as much as my 5.5l rwd e63s. The choice is burn more fuel in the M for thrills or burn the rear tyres on the AMG😂. It's great to drive them back to back. The M is pure motorsports and the AMG is pure muscle.
The turn in is sharp on the M, maybe the steering is too sensitive but makes it feel so agile. The throttle response is brilliant though the dct is hesitant from a stop or very slow speed. At higher speeds the dct is so good for such an old car. Revving it out is great because you can enjoy it at normal speeds unlike newer cars with too much power. I think it has the perfect recipe to enjoy on our roads. The ride is not the best for daily driving but it's a worthy compromise . I may mod the exhaust but I want more rumble than rasp. It's a proper future classic this v8 m3
I've had my E92 M3 individual spec with a BMW M Performance exhaust for 7 years. It's a July 2013 and 130th last car ever built... absolutely love it! Mine now has 26k on the clock!

Hello Calvin, I have just got out of an m4 competition and back into v8 m3 and I feel so much happier! For me its about the driving experience and not so much as how fast they go! The v8 offers a better experience due to the sound and the feel of the steering etc! Great video by the way I love these cars! Oh AND I paid 12k for my v8 m3 with 72k on the clock! Its a gem 😊
I did the same- had an E92 for 3 years, sold it to buy an F32 M4, then within 3 months sold that to buy another E92 because I missed it so much! It's so good to be back driving one again and I'll be keeping it for as long as I can now.
@@bergeracvandamme The m4 comp I had was on pcp, I wasn’t enjoying the car so it cost me alot just to get out of the deal, I was left skint, I had 12k savings and blew it all on a 2010 e93 m3 with 72k on the clock (it was the cheapest in the uk) it was in limp mode and filthy dirty with loads of stupid things wrong with it, no service history not even a log book! But I was still happy to be in it even in limp mode. I have grafted hard and spent a couple of K sorting Vanos out and other problems, its now looking mint, no limp mode all codes gone, and turns out it has a full bmw history!! But still have the rod bearings to do, nee starter to fit, plugs need changing, brake fluid flush, gearbox and diff service, then test pipes and stage 2 remap. I will get there with it, love the car 🤦♂️😂

Just using this opportunity to say. I wouldn’t go near junction 17 cars with a barge pole… 13:50 the blue M3. Those wheels on the car are replicas as they where on my M4 convertible I bought from them. And they put replicas on the car I traded in to them. I found the car had been damaged because my fault. I didn’t do my due diligence because I was excited about buying my dream car. And once I called them up on they’re shortcomings it was nothing hit trouble and I ended up selling the car on. Absolute nightmare of an establishment. But big up yourself Calvin. One day soon you’ll see me coming to buy a car 😜
The s65 is actually lighter than the s54 in the e46 M3
Owned one with 23,000 miles. Loved it, but don’t want another one. It was ok, nothing more.

Old is good for me. E46 or E92 over the M4 all day long.
Interesting how you bought that from Collecting Cars and obviously still turned a profit.
You can even get a after market plug and play carplay unit which works with OEM screen.
When did your editing change Calv? Need to ration the in shot quick cuts in your to camera pieces and text overlays. Makes the usual great content hard to appreciate.

I love my e91 335i. It's an LCI manual but it's getting scruffy now.
Pretty much the same time as a 330d? 😂😂. I do love the shape of this car but after driving a couple they feel heavy and slow... like the new f80 just feels so quick
I've owned a lot of cars including an F32 M4 and the E92 is probably 2nd favourite after a 911 Turbo.
They're such special cars and still underrated imo. I'd expect prices to explode over the next several years.
What would you buy E36 or E46 not necessarily M3 but for reliability and to be able to work and maintain yourself and why?

Definitely prefer an M4
It's rare I ever see/hear anyone say that who's owned both. I actually sold my M4 to fund another E92! The M4 is obviously the better car on paper but I just found it lacked the soul and fun you get with an E9x. Just the V8 noise alone is really something else.

I'd be hooking up an INPA cable to check the odometer matches on the instrument cluster and light modules. All beemers of this era are unbelievably easy to clock. They are good cars, but not great. The V8 sounds a bit too subdued, especially in the cabin. True, as a full fat M car it is definitely special and always feels like an event to drive but the E46 is still better, and an E36 evo even more still. And yes, I've owned all 3 before anyone decides to get shirty! lol

If the e92 doesn't have the rot issues of the e46 I'd say for a high mileage car they could be a bit of a no brainer... but then the v8 itself could be fun in terms of complexity vs the straight 6 in the e46.... decisions decisions lol

Is it that we want more, or...being sold on wanting more by brands able to fund their own tech/dev/manufacture/integration whilst vying for a greater market share. Relatively similar to the stimulated economic growth of warring nations the previous century...but private & tuned for exponential growth. I bet this is how the Galactic Empire started too...
