Bet they take right D with both their first round picks this coming draft. Edit: I'd also probably have Phillips and Del Mastro over Vlasic and Rinzel as it stands

Korchinski was a third pairing guy on Canada’s World Junior team. Del Mastro was arguably the team’s top defenseman. I think Korchinski will stay in junior, possibly after a stint in Chicago. Del Mastro will start in Rockford. I hope Vlasic and Philips can stick with the Hawks.
Appreciate the comment! Agree...it'll be interesting to see how Korchinski fits-in and if he makes the team and stays with the Hawks. I'm thinking he makes it and stays...we'll see. Either way, hope they develop him well!
I don’t think anyone looked great on defense this season outside of Vlasic but that’s due to the talent level of the entire team. Del Mastro is ELITE in the AHL and will be a great NHL player. Korchinski is just younger and still growing.

i got stauber ahead of every goalie in the hawks system. great numbers with the hawks. they better start him when goalie injuries come.
