Thank you! I will be going there to see where my granddad spent 2 years of his life in prisoned for being a norwegian policeofficer refusing to follow the nazi rules. Never forget.
When I was like 5, my mom showed me a book about murderers and it had a picture of Old Sparky and an American gas chamber. For the next 10 years, I thought each gas chamber used by the Nazis looked like the one I saw in that book. I was wrong.
No, it’s not. There remind us that the past is real. If we get rid of these monuments to our own cruelty we soon forget just how easily we can be manipulated into perpetrating barbaric acts. “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” - George Santayana.
was there two days ago and I'm extremely grateful that at least some of the structures remained after the Nazis destroyed a lot to hide evidence. My great grandmas father was kept and stutthof and I think I have the right to see how he how he lived... Ultimately removing all of the camps would definitely remove alot of the evidence of the holocaust

Piękne miejsce, dzika przyroda i w ogule ja to gdybym tylko mial okazję to chodził bym zwiedzać co weekend. Ważnym jest ażeby pamiętać !
I think ALL of these old Nazi camps should be destroyed and put back to grassland. Having these grotesque reminders of the past is a really bad idea.

We could rehome asylum seekers?
