"He's just a scientist and everything goes wrong." That pretty much describes Baxter's entire life in the original cartoon. It's honestly kinda sad. Especially because I think he had an older brother who was absurdly successful, or something. I don't remember the show too clealry, it was so many years ago.
Willing to bet the original cartoon version had nothing on the 2002 version though. Baxter Stockman's story in that one gets fricking messed up and only made more disturbing by how casual the show is about it. Over the course of the first few seasons he gets more and more mutilated offscreen, until he's nothing but a brain and an eyeball in a jar, then he's forced to stay in a robot body and once he manages to briefly implant his brain into a new organic clone body, it starts to rapidly decompose and quite literally falls apart on him.
I mean he's 10 years my senior and I have a touch of grey now. He's doing pretty damn good. Edit: I also like having the splash of salt. Its nice in its own way.

Biker Mice from Mars. That was the show I watched on vhs so often that I wore out the tape. I rarely watched Ninja Turtles. My brother and I had the tape memorized, we could say the lines of each of the characters word for word for all three episodes. It was great. Mom tried to get rid of the tape, and I ran interference while my brother found and stashed the tape somewhere safe. Good times in the 90s. What a great time to be a kid.

Biker Mice from Mars. That was the show I watched on vhs so often that I wore out the tape. I rarely watched Ninja Turtles. My brother and I had the tape memorized, we could say the lines of each of the characters word for word for all three episodes. It was great. Mom tried to get rid of the tape, and I ran interference while my brother found and stashed the tape somewhere safe. Good times in the 90s. What a great time to be a kid.
I have to say, me and my brother played this game so much on the SNES, and hearing Danny just KILL that opening transported me to me and my brother fighting over who would play Donatello all over again.

Holy crap, I was sleeping on the arcade version this whole time. I only ever played the snes version. So many more animation frame and effects!!!
But it didn't say "Big Apple, 3am" in that compressed voice so is it really worth it?
Now I'm really curious if Dan and Arin will play the TMNT fan game called: TMNT Rescue-palooza?
Or the retro throwback game coming out later?

OMG tu wong fu was such a good movie, my dad introduced me to it and i watched it a few times growing up, im glad dan finds it just as impactful as i always did ^.^
