Killer Croc doesn't want to be a monster as he has a genetic skin condition, hence he's a man trapped in the form of a monster. The Lizard, on the other hand, mutated himself on purpose and while it may have begun as an accident, he enjoyed being a monster and continued to further mutate himself beyond repair. Hence, he's a monster trapped in the form of a man.

And this was a version that had been off of venom for months and had even just gotten over withdrawals. A thing he'd done just to prove to himself that he could, through raw ass willpower.

To be fair, Bane post New 52/Rebirth on Venom is way stronger than his inception. He is canonically a 15+ tonner on venom (DC Comics: Anatomy of a Superhuman); but has feats exceeding that. I do agree the Harvey Dent loss is inexcusable though.
It’s kind of interesting though cause croc is so inconsistent. That’s mainly due to how DC restarts their worlds, while Marvel retcons their existing one. Croc’s peak strength feat is tearing out a 20-ton bank vault door without struggling at all. He also has survived falling off a skyscraper, though not well. Plus him and Bane go back and forth, as croc has beaten him in a fight as well. Again, it depends on which “killer croc” we’re talking about. Killer croc is one of the most inconsistent characters written like sometimes he’s bullet proof, other times a sharp pole can pierce his skin,some times he has the strength to bend steel girders like there butter other times he can barley lift a couple of guys on him,some times he’s a competent man who enjoys poetry and shake spear other times he’s as dumb as a rock.
I always thought the lizard was one of the best Bad guys from spider man's rogue gallery. He just had so much more utility over all the other supervillains. Maybe he didn't have the most resources, But he was certainly one of the few who would consistently give spiderman a beatdown.

I remember seeing a comic book cover of both villains sharing the cover and that got me thinking, what if Curt Connors would be able to find a cure for KC’s skin condition?Need I remind you that Killer Croc isn’t a mutant or anything, he just has a terrible skin disease and a cannibal, that’s all he is.Sure that skin disease gives him the Durability to tank all those attacks he’s able to tank but when you really think about it, that’s all, you never truly see KC as a half Croc hybrid most of the time and I believe only in the Lego Batman movie was he half Crocodile but in reality Killer Croc isn’t really half Croc, he’s just a Cannibal with a broke skin disease.

Sometimes Spidey villains don't make sense. I mean Doc Oc without the arms is a tank, and has strength feats too. Same thing with Mysterio. Lizard is weaker than Killer Croc, but can overpower stronger opponents. Spiderman is known to have fast reflexes and agility nearing comparison with some speedsters but is always tagged by any of his foes. All his rogues are an anomaly.

I mean Doc Oc without the arms is a tank, and has strength feats too. Same thing with Mysterio.
Lizard is weaker than Killer Croc, but can overpower stronger opponents. Spiderman is known to have fast reflexes and agility nearing comparison with some speedsters but is always tagged by any of his foes.

Okay this actually surprised me. I only know both characters by their minimal on screen presence and all this time I would assume Killer Croc would dominate plentirely because he looked more brutish. Now this short showed me fights I should've seen but didn't and now I'm a lot more terrified of Lizardman, somewhere near my fear of Venom!
And depending on the version the lizard is also a genius
