Polish sausage, sliced into coins, stir fry, and add bell peppers (all colors), sliced, sweet onions sliced, and add garlic powder and seasoned salt. Serve in a bowl or on tortillas. I eat mine with yellow mustard, but the hubby eats his with bbq sauce 😋 fast, easy and cheap 😊
This just goes to show that you are an amazing cook. It's not easy to put a meal together using food from one store that isn't actually a supermarket. You are awesome and inspirational.
@Justthebells10 heather what is the required amount, that you need for attention, to get you through the day??? Does upper michigan, get that lonely..??

@JescaML I live in a different country, so I don't know exactly what you can buy and where apart from what is shown on youtube. That makes it harder and a challenge to only use ingredients from Dollar Tree, so in that context, your comment doesn't make sense.
Hey my sister, when she does stir fry. She buys egg roll wrappers. But she cuts them in strips and fry’s them like that, and put them on the side so you can add them to the stir fry when you serve it. Yummm so good

Dollar tree has really gotten better with their food items, esp the variety of snacks. I like picking different things for a 1.25 every time i go. I have found so many different things that i would normally never see and/or buy from the grocery stores.
Not bad for Dollar Tree so that's about $4.40 per person and that includes a dessert. I don't like soy sauce so i use sweet and sour sauce. I agree crisp up the outer egg roll. Can't wait to see the next Dollar Tree meal Blessings to you and your family. 😊🇺🇲
I was thinking like Spam or tuna or chicken.......and boxed pots or noodles, veggies, dinner rolls and dessert cupcakes with decorated tops. Fun to prepare a meal from $ Tree, ha!

You can try just the white rice, airfry the egg rolls with sweet chili as dipping sauce. Stirfried veggies as a side(oyster sauce and garlic as seasoning, sesame oil) I love watching your videos❤
I just found your channel, and I love it! I subscribed right away! I love how I can get ideas for my stockpile, and get more tips with being frugal. You're Awesome!
The pack of little spring rolls are amazing. They are a staple in our freezer. You get 8 in a pack but they are little. All veggie and taste super good.
Heather your first dollar tree meal looked delicious. I love your family!! So much love and happiness in your house. You do look younger with your hair down, but I’m 53 and love to pull my hair up too. It’s a lot easier.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
We make smoked sausage (cut and browned in butter, oil, or bacon grease), then add the pepper and onion blend bags and the Normandy blend. These can be all cooked in a skillet or combine all in large bowl and sprinkle in oil and add garlic, onion, paprika, and any other spices you want, blend well and put on foil covered sheet pans and cook until everything is cooked. Then however you cook them add rice to serve with.
hi i am asian and spring rolls are deep fried and used as topping of the rice veggie mix. im glad you tried to explore. adding coconut milk is also so asian, it actually adds taste to veggies
Could add eggs...just do a chop scrambled in small bits in the wok for going with like a fried rice version too. Get more protein for those big boys. And eggs, well you have plenty of those! 😊 My kiddos favorite dollar store meal was either 1. the Banquet brand family size Salisbury steaks in brown gravy. Get 8 steak patties- 2 per person sized. (We were a family of 4) it was under $5 but that was like over 8 years ago. My kids are grown now. To go with it, I'd get 2 instant mash potato packets. Brand that comes in a redish brown packet that says creamy butter flavored. Their other brands were not good & grainy texture. Then I'd grab a bag of sweet corn & a package of brown n serve rolls. I fed all of us for about $9 with tax,. Using just butter & milk i already had at home. The kids put the extra gravy with the patties on their potatoes. Or 2. The other dollar store meal I'd make they liked was...imagine if a japanese Ramen soup had a baby with an American chicken noodle soup ...this dish would be it's offspring. Lol. My kids loved it. I'd get 5 packets of chicken Ramen noodles, crush it up cook it, but add its seasoning & yellow cap Mrs dash, a little bit of poultry seasoning & crushed celery flakes. I'd add a few heaping tbs to the water to make it a broth instead via using Better Than Bouillon paste- the roasted chicken flavor. I'd then stir in either a frozen Veggie blend or frozen variety corn, or a canned cut green beans drained. I added 1 diced finely carrot too with the deydrated minced celery flakes. Then after I mixed all that together with all the seasonings, broth, noodles, & veggies, I'd add half of a shredded rotisserie chicken. I'd buy them when they would go on sale either bogo or for a $3 half price sale. Simmer on low til carrots etc are tender. I'd serve a baguette crusty bread torn into wedges so as to dip in the soup broth. Id get a $1 baguette in the day old bread section/cart at my grocery store. The seasonings & better than bouillon really gave it it's flavor in the broth. It's a very hearty one pot meal that cost me under $10 to make for a family of 4 plus half a leftover rotisserie chicken after. I'd use it to make chicken sandwiches or chicken salad sandwiches for dinner the next night along with a box of Velveeta mac n cheese & another Veggie. So that meal made 2 very cheap meals, next nights dinner only cost maybe another $5 dollars assuming i had mayo on hand. One meal a week in my household was something easy, quick, & cheap but tasty. Typically weds nights I'd do my quick cheap meal of the week. I'd make more involved & higher cost meals like a pot roast w all the fixings on Saturday & Sunday dinners. My daughters fav weeknight meal growing up was tatertot casserole, my oldest sons fav was taco bar- taco meat lettuce tomatoes onion guac salsa sour cream & tortillas along with Spanish rice and refried beans on the side or a 9 layer burrito he'd make out of it all. While my youngest son's fav weeknight meal was spaghetti with meatsauce or meatballs & texas toast garlic bread with green beans in butter & garlic. I sure do enjoy watching you make such BIG meals for your large family. Hope my few ideas are worth a try, as it does cut costs to every week have 1 dinner night that's very budget friendly, tasty, filling, non time consuming, & covers all the food groups. 😊
U definitely look about 10yrs younger with ur hair down..very pretty. Dinner looked delicious!!!! Im single and live alone so i do $ store meals all the time. If u yse ur imagination and get creative u can make some pretty good dinners. 😊
I absolutely LOVE this idea of making a dollar Tree Dinner , I like the challenge so now I’m going to try it and see what I can come up with! OH and Mrs. Bell I have to agree that you do look younger with your hair down BUT you’re beautiful either way ! 🥰🙏🏼🤍✨
Ok couple tips here from Scotland U.K. make sure oil is smoking hot and add your garlic /ginger etc before adding a day old rice to stir fry , cook your egg rolls rolls till crispy in oven or oil then chop them up and add at the end ,. Sesame oil also makes a difference , don’t let water into your stir fry so buy fresh veg if possible, my husband is Chinese btw , lots of love Scotland 🏴 UK xxx
Next time, maybe just do a veggie stir fry. Maybe just airfry the egg rolls and each person gets an egg roll, to dip(you could make a sweet n sour dipping sauce).😊❤
I love how the men started coming in the kitchen when that food started cooking and smelling good!!!! Lol 😂😂😂😂 they ready to eat ❤❤❤❤❤ I’m a new subscriber and I just subscribed!!! So I’m learning the family! 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hi Heather...I loved your heart ❤️ sweater. Your hair worn down made you look a bit younger, but I think you look gorgeous with it worn up as well. 😊 As for the dinner, I would have left the egg rolls whole and cooked them in the air fryer. That being said, next time I would try making a different Dollar Tree meal altogether, maybe a casserole of some kind. It's going to be extremely difficult cooking a meal with ingredients from Dollar Tree since blyour family is accustomed to home cooking, which can't compare when it comes to taste and quality. Have a good week. Sending love and blessings from Connecticut.
As I walked the Dollar Tree with my daughter, I checked out the food section. While it's not always the most healthy choices, there are many affordable options that are filling and fairly nutritious. If your Dollar Tree has a frozen and refrigerated section that really opens up affordable options. For those in areas where a typical grocery isn't available, the Dollar Tree is often the only shopping choice for them. I found a great selection of dried beans, rice, pastas, oats and grits. There was canned water packed tuna, salmon, mackerel and even canned cooked beef in broth and cooked chicken in broth. Staples like oil, vinegar, flour, sugar, spices and other essentials were also available. Our store has a great cold and frozen section, too. Lots of veggies, fruits, bacon, sausage, ground beef or turkey, milk, eggs, cheeses, etc. I did see things I could get elsewhere for a cheaper price. But if I didn't have transportation or another store near me, I could definitely find plenty at the Dollar Tree to feed myself or my family. Please don't judge those who struggle to get meals on the table whether due to lack of transportation or money. We all could be in those shoes at any given time. Believe me, when your kids are crying because their tummies are empty, you don't care where the food comes from as long as you can't feed them.
I cooked the steak and shrimp with the pepper blend seasoned of course. We absolutely loved it. I then used tortillas and cheese that we already had. The steak wasn't chewy
Adult kids are the harshest most honest critics at dinner time especially with new meals oh do I know this as a momma to 5 ages 17-25. Good job momma! I can totally relate to the statement of "I wont be offended, but kinda" I totally get that lol
Try smoke sausage slice and brown mixed with diced tomatoes with garlic and basil and a fourth cup chicken broth. Cook rotini pasta. Add the pasta and a can of French style green beans to the fry pan. Top with shredded mozzarella cover and heat through till cheese melts. I taste test to get the garlic and basil level to our preference.
I don't even live in the US, but i just love watching your vids, lol.. As an asian we mix rice and coconut milk instead of plain water.. they taste great!.. but first you can sautee paprika and union, and then put on the rice mix (with coconut milk, add little bit of salt) .. and for protein you can add minced beef/shredded chicken❤
That was funny wen you said i dont know why im yelling you really made me laugh,i talk loud wen im happy.i love it wen you go shopping i gey to know how you do it, were you go and the stores you shop at i live in Regina Saskatchewan Canada.Good morning 10:44 am
The same thing kind of happened with our mall. It was not a huge month to begin with us in that area where I live. The biggest city is Corning. I'm in upstate New York. I'm sure you've heard of it. The glass museum where corral, where pirates was born so to speak LOL. But your armor had like all the big fancy stores. When I was a kid and I just turned 50. So not too far behind you, sister. And they're all gone like McCurry's is our test is rosenbaums. I could go on and on and it got down to only a few stores in this fairly decent size for our area, you know, especially when it's empty looks really bad. Mom they're actually a bat back. A couple of stores and a couple of restaurants that are trying to like keep it alive and hope for more to join in with the other update stored areas. But we'll see pretty sad, though that places like that. We remember when we grow up and we can't share those memories with our kid. Dos, because I mean we could share the memories but we can't like. Take them and share the memories visually in person with them because they're gone now and rosenbaums was a woman's clothing store. I guess I had a blue button everything I guess but in the back and the women's section. There was a bird cage in the middle of the floor up on a pedestal that had a parrot in it. Turning was Rosie so while my Grandma shot, I hung out with and talked to Rosie. So that's something that I won't be able to do with my kid. But at least I have the memories, I guess.
Just brown up the egg rolls intact (don't cut up)let them sit on a paper towel on a plate after they get crispy,THEN cut them in half or into thirds and place on top of you're trying to stretch them out for your meal... just a suggestion
Heather awesome video! I would love if you made a 25$ recipe next time! I think a beans and rice would be pretty good with the polish sausage? ? Looking forward to seeing the next challenge
Really enjoying your videos! Your hair is nice down, but I worry about getting hair in my cooking, so I always have my hair up when in the kitchen. Keep up the good work!! 👍 🎉🎉🎉
instead of buying those expensive egg rolls, you can get the shredded cabbage or broccoli slaw mix in a bag in the salad section (it also freezes well) and get a bag of crunchy chow mein noodles for on top or look for won tons or egg roll wrappers, cut into strips and crisp up in the airfryer
I like how you push yourself to do different meals at different places. I bet though you can do even better at your grocery store it would be healthier too. Dollar tree does have some good things. Great job on this meal though! Wow dollar tree has a ton of seasonings and sauces I will need to check it out.

I cooked the steak and shrimp with the pepper blend seasoned of course. We absolutely loved it. I then used tortillas and cheese that we already had. The steak wasn't chewy
I was just watching videos from your Playlist and got a notification of a new video 😊 Been patiently waiting for this video. Happy New Week! 😊
Adult kids are the harshest most honest critics at dinner time especially with new meals oh do I know this as a momma to 5 ages 17-25. Good job momma! I can totally relate to the statement of "I wont be offended, but kinda" I totally get that lol
Hamburger helper and a can of biscuits makes a great dinner 👌👌👍👌👍
You look at least 15 or more years younger with it down! Looks beautiful!
your family is so adorable.god bless you guys.
Yes you do look younger with your hair down but you look lovely either way. Hi from the uk x
Looks good. Everyone likes the stir fried peppers. Thanks for sharing ❤
Yes. You look younger with your hair down😊
I was scrhooling and found you. Love it! God Bless!
Watch the pepper and garlic blends. I bought one and it was full of salt, very little garlic and pepper in proportion.
Really enjoying your videos! Your hair is nice down, but I worry about getting hair in my cooking, so I always have my hair up when in the kitchen. Keep up the good work!! 👍 🎉🎉🎉
You are so full of joy and it’s amazing to watch! 💜💜💜
Your meal looks good. I've never had egg rolls cut up before. I might have to try it.
You have lovely hair .The meal looks great
Wow. Shopping center has been decimated. Yes you look significantly younger with your hair down. That's a beautiful look for you.
We use the sausage they have there for beans and rice the kids love it
looks delish! I loved seeing everyone walk in and out of the video too!🤣
The mint cookie are as good as Girl Scout ones. The cornbread amazing . I get my chicken al king great I buy the milk wonderful 😋
Your husband and Izzy gave the most honest reviews.
Years ago the dollar tree where I used to live had a version of chicken fried steak. They were delicious.
Sometimes they have good finds.
Wish they would go back to a dollar though.❤😊, Good shopping.
instead of buying those expensive egg rolls, you can get the shredded cabbage or broccoli slaw mix in a bag in the salad section (it also freezes well) and get a bag of crunchy chow mein noodles for on top or look for won tons or egg roll wrappers, cut into strips and crisp up in the airfryer
I like how you push yourself to do different meals at different places. I bet though you can do even better at your grocery store it would be healthier too. Dollar tree does have some good things. Great job on this meal though! Wow dollar tree has a ton of seasonings and sauces I will need to check it out.
You need sesame oil when frying up rice in a wok or stir fry oil. Both work great and heat up fast but gives that Asian taste too.
Loving these Dollar Tree videos! You do look more youthful with your hair down but you look Beautiful either way😊
