Mark - Leland knows that “lightweight” characters are ALWAYS have the highest acceleration But lowest speed (peach toad dry bones etc)
Heavy characters (bowser donkey kong ) always have the highest top speed but worst acceleration
And “mediam weight” characters (Mario Luigi) have a decent blend of all stats
Leland is capitalising on that knowledge
You can use bananas to block red and green shells if you put bananas behind you rather throwing them-@RDCWorldGaming

yall are not suppose to drop the bananas until you get to the next pair of mystery boxes. You hold on to the bananas in your item slot until someone throws a red shell at you, that Is when you hold banana's behind your car so that the red shell does not hit you. You can also hold the banana's behind your car and drive in front of someone to stop them instead of just wasting them by randomly throwing them behind you. If you are going to throw them behind you, you need to throw them in good spots like in narrow areas or just before you get onto the blue and orange accelerators. Also learn to drift its not that hard and you can get a boost in the starting line when the countdown hits 2 hit your engines. Pressing the Jump button before going off a ramp also gives you a speed boost.
