There will never be anyone like Rafa, he is so unique and we are so privileged to have witnessed an athlete like this. Not just an athlete but a living legend who surpassed the status of a regular athlete. Very rare that some individuals really become bigger than the sport, they become icons. Tennis for a very very long time will not be close to that level again. Djoko alone also isn't the same anymore...
The only player to have a statue in a grand slam venue, Rolland Garros. He was the only player to win a grand slam 14 times. Also, the only man born right-handed to win 22 grand slams playing has a left-handed.
@darrionrobson8004 Yeah, but it's been noticeable on court for a while now. The last time (to me) he looked huge on court was at RG 2020, since then he seemed to be shrinking away. And moreso after RG 2022 when the final round of injuries began, then again after the AO 2023 hip injury. After that his tight bounce was gone, and his movement became more laborious. He was a gladiator, but he's moving onto the next phase of his life... As do we all...
Tennis fans should never forget what he has achieved even though he was the most injured out of the big 3 with his h2h score amongst the big 3 before the age of 37 with that many slams in the era that he played in.
Α ρε Rafa.. Καλό παιδί... PS. All the tennis conversations are being held in English, but at some point our emotions come out in our native tongues.. Respect to my favourite player in all languages.. Take care Rafael.. 😁😁
Another interview wasted on basic questions that lead to basic PR answers. A Quick Look into past Rafa interviews and one can easily determine that he would shrug off most of these surface level questions. What a missed opportunity.
I wish there was a separate atp for the older players so they wouldn’t have to retire. I think a lot of people would enjoy watching Nadal vs Federer vs Djokovic vs the younger generation or at least both!
Worthless interview with the most lacklustre interviewer. The only reason Rafa and the others are there is because of the money, there's no other story here.
I can't imagine 23 years of doing these types of interviews, week after week, to promote events. Rafa is a patient person, and the interviewer was pleasant enough, but I thought Rafa was tired and lacklustre after so many years of this. I'm also disappointed that Rafa is playing here at all. I think Federer with all his money making schemes has propelled Rafa into this meaningless exhibition. Federer knows, as a businessman, that people will turn out, and pay more, to see him and Rafa for the last time. Rafa's advisors should have told him to stay home and relax before the Davis Cup final. It's not as if any of them need the money, unless they intend to donate it to their charitable foundations.
bro he's getting 1.5mill to show up, he better be ok to do an interview if they ask him to do one for 5 mins. He can literally lose 2 sets and walk away with 1.5mill or somehow win 2 matches. It's not much at all
Considering he is a very wealthy man, I am not sure he should be promoting a tennis academy in a place where there are human rights abuses. Maybe he regrets agreeing to it. He doesn't seem that enthusiastic.
Bummer it's in Saudi Arabia...they can buy EVERYTHING they want! Don't get me wrong, I love Rafa, I just wish they would have done this cool tournament somewhere else. 🤑🤮🤑🤮
Nadal is such a great ambassador of the sport! This 6 Kings Slam is nothing but an exhibition money grab! It means nothing but putting the Saudis on the sports world map with all their cash‼
Rafa looks tired, sad or perhaps angry or suffering a lot. Looks like he just cried a lot or went trough a lot of pain or anger a few minutes before the interview.
People commenting the interview questions are terrible, same old same old which is kind of funny considering how many people could only think to comment about Rafa looking old/tired/bored. Why??! 🤦🏽♀️
He doesn't look so enthusiastic and motivated, he looks like forced to play by compromise hahaha...., probably he fear of ridicule because actually he's the weakest of the kings! Wakeup man, smile, and enjoy, it doesn't matter wining or losing.
@@omairkazi3994 Don't be ridiculous, we are talking about present, not about records and career..., he's the weakest right now , he won't win any match
I think it's clear that YOU don't understand the concept of human beings ageing at different speeds and in different ways. No, steroids are NOT the only thing that makes people look older. Idiot.
Amazing to think if you take Joker 10 Aus open GS , he would still be the GOAT with 14 GS total. If you take 8 Wimbledon from Fed , he would have 12 GS total and if you take 14 Frenh fro. Nadal would have 8 GS total and he wouldn't be even 3rd best in history, he would be in the middle of the pack. Just amazing how much french GS added to make him second Best instead of being in the middle of the pack.
Its an error to see records separated, obviously each player has a different favourite surface, and they also have accomplished so many titles in the other surfaces. If i look in the other way, its incredible how many tournaments in hard court and grass this man has won considering that how hard was for him in the beggining to adapt to this surfaces
He'd be tied with Sampras on 14. There are four slams on three surfaces and it gives an advantage to players who's game is suited to faster courts. It's not where they are played it's about the surface. Type in: Djokovic best surface and the top result is Hard court Hard court. Djokovic's favourite and most successful surface is hardcourt where he has a record 14 Grand Slam titles. Federer best surface Roger Federer won 192 of his 221 matches on grass, which is more than any other man in the Open Era, and he also holds the best win percentage on his favourite surface. So that leaves Federer 12 Djokovic 10 Nadal 8
@_MrAvocado_ Obviously math is not your favourite subject. Take 10 Aus open out of Joker 24 GS total will leave him 14 GS but you just want Fed who won most of his GS beating no one in the weakest era of men's tennis before Nadal and Joker came in to be the first but too bad for you he is not.
Can't imagine tennis without Rafael Nadal will miss him a lot been mine role model for life
I started watching tennis bcz of federer and then I knew about nadal too and became a fan of both later.
Thank you KING

Rafa improved his english so much.
After twenty years 😊
This is true and says so much, thinking that it still is a clear style of Spanglish..
I still remember his interview in winning his 1st wimbledon against Roger . Yeah he improve a lot .

I feel the same way. Others will hear about it, but we witnessed it! I loved every second ❤️
Hope Nole can play until 40 and celebrate his retirement with Roger & Rafa. So grateful to witness this golden era.
we will miss Rafa ; great man .thanks for everything you do and any time you give
