There are SO many other colors like Empower-mint -- even from Essie themselves. There is literally no excuse for a garbage formula these days... Very excited to hear we're finally getting their thicker brushes though!
Hands down you make the best nail polish videos. Whenever I feel hesitant about a color I look to see if you made a swatch video :) just bought "the fuchsia is bright" and I'm so excited, the perfect summer shade for me
Purchased Bikini so Teeny in London last week after I heard you talk about the wider brush that Essie has over there. What a difference the brush makes! Love it and so glad we will be getting that brush here soon!
Great review Jess. I am not surprised that the pearly white was your favourite! It really does stand out as the most exciting polish in the collection! Plus I don't think any of us can resist a shifty shimmer! I am so glad that Essie are bringing out the wider brushes for all you girls in the US :) and a new pink collection... sounds like pink heaven to me :)
This may be an unpopular opinion...but is it just me or are these summer collections kind of... meh? I am not over neons and I wish mainstream companies kept working on their formulas and had brought out more nuances this year with 'no white base-coat' needed formulas. Anyhoo... love your videos. :) Never miss one and always look ouy for them!
I just love all of your reviews and how-tos and everything. It's great that you explain different terms you use - helps a novice like me feel less like a moron and actually like I can do this! Keep it up :)
Some pretty colors but nothing that I don't already have something similar to in my collection. I must say though, I recently started buying indie polishes and ever since, mainstream brands just aren't as exciting anymore. :/
April Adams What are some of your favorite indie brands? I am definitely over the mainstream brands because the colors are all the same, but it’s been hard for me to find indies that don’t have a ton of glitter/confetti
I like Sunny Daze! I used to not like that kinda colour, but I guess it grew on me. Making Harmony is my fave colour! If I can get a trademark colour for myself, that would be it!
Hi Jess, I just bought (all daisy long) it looks so good on me😄 I don't usually guy light colors but when I saw your review I thought I would try it out. Thanks my friend for showing theese polishes. I love my nails today🤗
Most annoying nail polish ever! I went through a whole bottle of polish trying to get a streak-free look and still didn't get it. I've tried everything with no luck. What's the point of all the pretty colors if it doesn't apply properly? Ugh.
Kind of really in love with sunny daze and making harmony. I actually really like the thinner brushes that Essie has now, I have more control with them. Oh well, I guess.
Jess, I’m begging you to answer this one super important question from me!🙏 Did I hear you correctly??? Is Essie going to be making the wider brushes in their regular polishes soon? If so, you’ve made me super happy & most likely bankrupt for this wider brush like the ones from the gel couture line/TLC?!!! Is this really TRUE?! Thanks, sweetie! You always do such an amazing job with Essie’s regular brush- even though I know it’s not your fav, but if it’s true... super happy!!!😆😘❤️❤️❤️
Love ur videos!!! Have bought alot of polishes after watching some of ur videos. Empower-mint is very pretty and young wild and me and the fuchsia is bright lol
This right here is why I have a hard time destashing. My taste change like the wind. LOL! I mean I'll always be a blue girl! But things I wouldn't like 1-2 years ago I'm loving right now. I also might have slight hoarding problem. So that also might be a destashing issue. LOL! Great review!
How do you keep you cuticles from getting really dry when doing these so often? Mine are horrible after taking off polish one time even with cuticle oil
Have you tried applying more than once? I use normal oil after i remove my polish then when it's absorbed, i apply another layer. When i had drier skin, i applied 4/5 times.
AgendaCompleteBliss !! Jojoba oil is the best nail oil for health cuticles. You can order it from Amazon. You can always make a blend of that jojoba and almond oil it's fabulous smelling. As long as you don't have nut allergies that is.
Perception is weird. Why do some colours make us feel too 'old lady'? My most disliked 'old lady' colours are dusky roses but I used to love them when I was younger???. Go figure. I used to hate pearly whitish polishes too but recently started amassing them. Streaks annoy me big time so as long as those are minimal I'm fine. I will definitely be picking up All Daisy Long. Thanks for the swatches!
Jess are you going to the Sea and Seashell collection by Essie? I think that's the name of the collection but it has a bunch of seashell looking polishes
Sunny Daze was the shade I was most excited about, and therefore the one I was most disappointed in. It's gotta look good on some skin tones, but it looked like baby poop on me. Lol.
Okay, I feel so stupid. I recently purchased three Essie nail colors and the top coat. I was so excited to try Essie for the first time, but girl, they won't stay on my nails for more than a day, and the top coat starts to peal up almost immediately once it dries. Like, not even exaggerating. Literally within an hour it was coming off like plastic. I don't get it. Even if I haven't done dishes or had my hands in water. What am I doing wrong? Oddly enough, it stays on my toenails LOL I have watermelon, blanch, and bikini so teeny. So disappointed because I love the colors.
Essie collections are boring cause they seem to come out with the same recycled colors over and over again, the gel couture line is more interesting, they seem to have better formulas and the wider brush but out of all the name brand nail polish brands I'm least drawn to essie, I own about three essie polishes which I rarely use cause of the formula and brush, I don't like their formulas or the really skinny brush but the couture line has peeked my interest so maybe I'll buy some of them
OMG ESSIE IS MY FAVOURITE BRAND AND MY ONLY COMPLAINT ABOUT THEM ARE THEIR BRUSHES AND IM SSOOOOOO HAPPY THEIR CHANGING THEM!!!
I’m so happy
Kai the great pig taimer That’s what I just asked her- lol! You beat me to it! Great minds think alike! (: 💞👍If this is true... I cannot wait!!!😍
There are SO many other colors like Empower-mint -- even from Essie themselves. There is literally no excuse for a garbage formula these days...
Very excited to hear we're finally getting their thicker brushes though!
I NEED all daisy long! 😍😍
Hands down you make the best nail polish videos. Whenever I feel hesitant about a color I look to see if you made a swatch video :) just bought "the fuchsia is bright" and I'm so excited, the perfect summer shade for me
Oooo, sunny daze is pretty! Funny that you hate that one and it's the only one I'm tempted by.
Susan P iI like it too! 😍
Purchased Bikini so Teeny in London last week after I heard you talk about the wider brush that Essie has over there. What a difference the brush makes! Love it and so glad we will be getting that brush here soon!
In Europe we've had the wide brushes for years. No idea what could've taken them so long in the US :/
They were probably waiting for sales to start dropping off due to the brush first.
Haha. I also thought that ‘All daisy long’ was pretty.....and I also liked ‘Making harmony’ as well. Great swatches!
essie seaglass??
Making harmony is my favourite!
Great review Jess. I am not surprised that the pearly white was your favourite! It really does stand out as the most exciting polish in the collection! Great review, I love the first one, All Daisey Long
Making Harmony looks beautiful! Nice smokey purple color
I really love that white one too! It reminds me of Mother of Pearl or a Moonstone! I am soooo excited for the new brushes!
Essie said the polishes going forward in the US and Canada will be going with the wider brushes. HOORAY!
This may be an unpopular opinion...but is it just me or are these summer collections kind of... meh? Totally agree with everything you said.
Oh damn, if you guys over the pond are getting the nice wide brushes prepare to fall in love!
I just love all of your reviews and how-tos and everything. It's great that you explain different terms you use - helps a novice like me feel less like a moron and actually like I can do this! Keep it up :)
I’m getting old too! All daisy long was my favorite too!! What’s happened to us!?💅🏼🤨
Some pretty colors but nothing that I don't already have something similar to in my collection.
I really loved Making Harmony! The mint is definitely in my color preference, but I got so many of those...
I love my nails today🤗
seriously, why does essie still sell any polishes with watery, crappy formulas, there is just absolutely no reason for that whatsoever.
Most annoying nail polish ever! I went through a whole bottle of polish trying to get a streak-free look and still didn't get it. I've tried everything with no luck. What's the point of all the pretty colors if it doesn't apply properly? Ugh.
I think my favorite one is probably Sunny Daze or Making Harmony.
All daisy long is my favorite too it’s the only one I bought but I may still get Young Wild and Me because I love the muted pinks 👍🏼🌸
Dusty Eggplant 😂😂😂 lollll I’m here for it!
Kind of really in love with sunny daze and making harmony. I actually really like the thinner brushes that Essie has now, I have more control with them. Oh well, I guess.
Yay for a wide brush!
Yep I totally never expected to like the more sheer polishes, like ever. But these days I'm enjoying them xD
I want Young Wild n Me and All Daisy Long.

I like empower mint

Acetone additives
Try coconut oil it works wonders for my cuticles

Like the first one too😊😍
Making Harmony is my favorite. I thought the formula was awesome.
Ugh. I HATE wide brushes. I have very narrow nails and it's hard to pain with a wide brush. I guess I'm outnumbered because they seem popular.
Tfs. Are you going to come out with a collection soon?
Jayme Wukmir Jess has her own brand for a while now its call Nine Zero Laquer 😀😍
Sunny Daze was the shade I was most excited about, and therefore the one I was most disappointed in. It's gotta look good on some skin tones, but it looked like baby poop on me. Lol.

A Nest Full do you have really smooth nails? I would recommend a tacky or sticky base coat or lightly buffing your nails first to see if that helps.
I really like the colors but for some reason Essie doesnt speak to me. tfs :)
Essie could have done a better job choosing "summer" collection colors....but thank you for showing us.
I think I’m in the minority here that actually doesn’t mind the Essie skinny brush ..I guess cuz I have smaller nails.
Essie collections are boring cause they seem to come out with the same recycled colors over and over again, the gel couture line is more interesting, they seem to have better formulas and the wider brush but out of all the name brand nail polish brands I'm least drawn to essie, I own about three essie polishes which I rarely use cause of the formula and brush, I don't like their formulas or the really skinny brush but the couture line has peeked my interest so maybe I'll buy some of them
Lol!!!! You're just getting older like all of us. Take heart though: when you look 70 you will feel 30.
OMG my 8 yr old grandson changed my user name! Hahahaha 😂 I'm leaving it cause it's so funny 🤣👌😎 (This is Lorie Morse Btw.)
Uh mam..you only are painting the center of your nails..a tad annoying. But hey, thanks for the review.
Donn Fugaroun there’s a reason she does this for her videos. Read above and you will find out why.
I mean, you are getting very old.
