How the hell can you say that God answered the prayers after seeing hundreds of people killed just a week ago, I would say that building codes answered the prayers because this is Florida and obviously the building codes are made for these hurricanes. That's a fool thing for you to say when just a week ago so many were killed and destroyed.
No it's not catastrophic... interestingly I'm thinking Milton lost his punch, much to the greatness of God and prayer. Surge was minimal and tropical storms can do worse. Still sad it happened, and have another punch but hey everyone was expecting 10 times more.
Watching this made me realize why so many Americans are cynical about climate change. Your media so exaggerats things that when there is a real threat it just sounds like more of the same.
The storm surge is really where the worst part of the mess is and clearly it appears that the neighborhood he is standing in was not part of it. If its deep enough, fast moving water destroys just about everything in its path from the bottom up.
I've lived in Florida for 10 years. I'm not Florida man by any means. Milton was easy work. Irma was 10x worse for me when I lived in highlands county. I'm about 30 miles east of Tampa and I was taking walks last night in the thick of it lol. Again, easy work. Florida man could have slept hard in a small boat right on the bay easily during Milton.
My family is in Palmetto. Im waiting to hear if they had damage. I'm praying for all of you. I was just there in August. It breaks my heart to see this.
To call this Catastrophic is stupid, yes there is a lot of damage, catastrophic would be nothing left, that can be cleaned up in a Day. Asheville and Surrounding areas are Catastrophic. Move to some place and give us a real report.
My fear is that a future storm's threat potential will be discounted, based on the Milton experience. It was, rightfully, described as a storm of historic behavior and of catastrophic potential... and then it wobbled. People will, in the future, be told the storm coming at them is life threatening and they will scoff. Ha, remember Milton? They said it was a 100 year storm, flee while you can, save yourself. But it was pretty much a nothing burger. And then that future storm will arrive, and it is actually catastrophic. Those people who scoffed will be hit hard, and many will die.
I am in Ohio. We have baby winds compared to that and they have done more damage than that to mobile home parks. Catastrophic is quite over exaggerated!!
While it’s undoubtedly difficult and not good for those who have experienced any damage to their homes as a result of Milton, to refer to this scene as “catastrophic” two weeks after all that has played out in Asheville is a bit offensive. I don’t even live in the Asheville area, and it doesn’t sit well with me. I understand completely why this storm was approached as potentially life-threatening to start. I do believe those preparations helped lessen the losses faced by these communities. However, to continue to run with that narrative based on this scene alone… (acknowledging I haven’t seen much from other areas)… well, you’re not exactly building trust, and, if anything, you’re risking people not believing you at all when the next potentially dangerous storm forms. I would urge all news stations to seriously consider the consequences of continuing this narrative in locations where the damage appears far from “catastrophic.” Please choose your words wisely.
How is Floridana Mobile Home Park? I saw a picture of powerlines down in the Park. Lots of Mobile home damage. No power in Floridana since last night about 7 pm.😢
My friend is there, she has no power and very little food to eat. Her employer is closed, and there is no idea when it will reopen. Any idea where she can go for help???
I agree. Catastrophic is if your mobile home is leveled. Newscasters should be more professional with their vocabulary. We have expensive repairs in having to pay for downed tree removal even though we don't even own the land but we are happy to have a roof over our heads.
This Nick Guy obviously can not access damage! Unless there is something different going that he is to lazy to show us, everything that I see is superficial! I'm impressed how well this Mobile Home Park did!
More way too wordy sensationalism than accurate reportage. He needs to learn the true meaning of catastrophic. Webster: "momentous tragic event ranging from extreme misfortune to utter overthrow or ruin."
Oh man, the "floodwaters" in the trailer park are coming up 4" onto your ankle boots? Give us a break nerd. The sensationalism is reserved for before the storm.
I'm actually really really surprised at how little damage is shown there! I know it's still early but this is a good sign if a trailer park (the most vulnerable structure really) wasnt completely obliterated. This is promising
Those homes are still on their foundations. Count it as a blessing
Agreed.
A miracle
I would not call that catastrophic, that can happen in any storm
At least its cooler and the sun ain't beating down. Word to the wise.... Check Your Contractors Credentials hard.
Nothing happened. For mobile homes to be standing after a cat 4 or cat 3… God really answer our Prayers.
Maybe God shouldn't have created the storm if he is all-loving and omnipotent.

@@rusrockt10You can't just asume stuff like that with little knowledge about the bible there obviously a reason.
Ashville North Carolina was a catastrophic event
Hurricane Season sucks if you line near the South coast. It can hit anywhere down here.
@@LawrenceLevertonAshville is not near the coast. Still got totally destroyed and the roads themselves are gone. Wiped away completely.
@@skyw8248 Been there many times. I agree its sad. God Bless.
Exactly
That doesn t look catastrophic.
These reporters are so full of it. They drive around to find the deepest puddle and film it. Most damage came from the tornadoes
This is actually mild, not bad, news are just blowing out of proportions
Job security.
Exactly
Why not focus your reporting on NC……???? THAT is catastrophic!!!!! ……Ridiculousness they feed us
No it's not catastrophic... interestingly I'm thinking Milton lost his punch, much to the greatness of God and prayer. Surge was minimal and tropical storms can do worse. Still sad it happened, and have another punch but hey everyone was expecting 10 times more.
Looks fairly good for mobiles
That is NOT catastrophic damage. Thank goodness....there has been far less damage than there might have been...with a MUCH stronger MILTON !!!!!!!!!!!
Watching this made me realize why so many Americans are cynical about climate change. Your media so exaggerats things that when there is a real threat it just sounds like more of the same.
Thank you and please keep saying something.
Good thing is it gets people to take hurricanes more seriously bad thing is when it ends it waste people time for those homes still standing fine.
Clearly he doesn't know catastrophic means.
This neighborhood looks ok considering what its been through.
It's really being dramatized. Most homes look fine. Just small amount of debris.
Catastrophic? Go to North Carolina or Acapulco to see catastrophic...
The storm surge is really where the worst part of the mess is and clearly it appears that the neighborhood he is standing in was not part of it. If its deep enough, fast moving water destroys just about everything in its path from the bottom up.
Yall would be much more helpful to society if you helped with storm clean up instead of creating drama

Embrace your inner Florida man.
Dont be dramatic, thats not near catastrophic 🤦🤦
I agree. As soon as he said that I turned off the sound.
Catastrophic? You’ve lead a sheltered life, and your vocabulary is found wanting.
Let's be HONEST it's not too bad
My family is in Palmetto. Im waiting to hear if they had damage. I'm praying for all of you. I was just there in August. It breaks my heart to see this.

PLEASE give some coverage to Sarasota and Siesta Key area. That area is also part of this and have love ones there too!
That’s not bad at all given the size and strength of that storm ! They were very fortunate
Amazing that the mobile homes did so well. Amazing they have so many mobile homes in hurricane areas
Was this more near the river?
I am in Ohio. We have baby winds compared to that and they have done more damage than that to mobile home parks. Catastrophic is quite over exaggerated!!

It’s amazing that any of those mobile homes are still standing
They found the biggest puddle.
That's hardly catastrophic
This weather guy is a Genius
Can you say “ripped off 100 times in 2 min?”
My friend is there, she has no power and very little food to eat. Her employer is closed, and there is no idea when it will reopen. Any idea where she can go for help???
All of these news outlets need to get better news reports

2:30 "didnt get the surge... but MY BOOTS" 😂
Could have been much worse if it hit as a 5, luckily it was a 3!
Parker Schnabel works as a remote TV correspondent in Tampa Bay now ?

catastrophic? not
This guy is not voice suitable for this job. Hell no
Be nice to talk who is there and ask if the flood waters cane into their home - talk to the residents
This was a very poor example of catastrophic damage.
You can hear the water under my feet?
Moderate! Not catastrophic! How old are you? 🤔 More reviews for most disputes!
He spent all night thinking of how to cover the aftermath. Stand in a puddle and claim catastrophe.
how long til the "catastrophic" damage is blamed on climate change.....??
Harvey did a lot more to my neighborhood in Houston than this
Surprised to see so little major damage to this trailer park community. No mobile homes blown off their foundation.
Hurricane Helene was worst than this
Thank the governor for clearing debris for the storm!
fake storm
No such thing
🙏🙏🙏
Florida in a. Mobile home 😞 not for me
Oh my goodness 😢
mobile home is not a house it is cardboard boxes like in the fairy tale about the pigs trailer
✝️🙏👨👩👦
Rusty must have been done that shoddy work over there. Word to the wise.... Check your contractors credentials hard.
Report the news not over dramatize it. Horrible reporter.
More way too wordy sensationalism than accurate reportage. He needs to learn the true meaning of catastrophic. Webster: "momentous tragic event ranging from extreme misfortune to utter overthrow or ruin."
Thos has to be the dumbest news segment ive ever see... lately. He uses the most destructive describing words while showing the most minor things.
Remove old trees, strap homes down, build for these storms, sue the insurance companies for leaving because they want more profit from these areas.
What a tool
😮
What a horrible reporter
Florida is just better equipped for hurricanes than other states.
That but it’s also their turnover rate for rebuilding.
Fear monger in full effect
overhyped
