In response to the description, even though we did not see the three space sheriffs fight together, we still saw them running comically from an irate old man. That is proof that even the space sheriffs make mistakes and can also be funny.
Since Shaider's (the blue guy) armor was used in "VR Troopers," and the other two Sheriffs and Troopers each having similar color schemes, I think this is how the Troopers should make a comeback (likely as "Power Rangers" cameos).

Of course, the real reason Shaider became Ryan's new armour was because Metalder footage had run out, which is why I can't help but think that adapting The Rescue Hero trilogy would of been a better choice, since they would have more footage to use and they could have the heroes together (they would have to explain why they go into set groups of three, but they could give a logical reason)
The rescue trilogy, particularly Solbrain would've made for a great adaption, but there was just one problem; since kaijin were so few and far between, it would have required a lot of original footage, something that a cheapskate like Saban definitely wouldn't have liked
Although my favorite is X-or I also love Sharivan, I used to watch them on TV when I was in kindergarten. I remember (I must have been 5 years old) that in an episode Sharivan came to the rescue of X-or, it was great, I found him super beautiful in metallic red. Later, while buying the boxes, I realized that my memories were correct.

I guess Sharivan looks a little similar to Speilvan seeing as though all the characters in VR Troopers were adapted from Toei's Metal Heroes series. But only Shaider's costume, monsters, battle footage etc. was used on the show after Saban had used up all the Metalder footage.
If only this was used for VR Troopers! This would have been exciting to see! VR Troopers was a show that deserved to have a better chance to succeed! It would have been glorious!

Best story: Sharivan (Slightly better than Gavan and a lot better than Shaider.) Best main character: Gavan (Perhaps the manliest and most likeable out of the three. Also Kenji Ohba is a legend and he had a legendary performance there.) Best sidekick: Shaider (ANNIE!!!) Best villains: Sharivan (Madou is a lot more competent, threatening and interesting than Makuu and Fuuma.) Best arsenal: Gavan (He has a fcking SPACE DRAGON!) Best panty shots: Shaider (ANNIE!!!)
I dunno about the mecha, but the best part about Shaider in my own personal opinion as it fills my then-innocent mind is the freaking Vavilos, infamous for transforming into a giant gun that can erase an enemy fleet! The fact that it's inherited by the DekaWing Robo in Dekaranger adds to the awesome.

Saban did a remake of the Metal Hero Series. Superhuman-Machine Metalder and Space-Time Warrior Speilban. It was known in the U.S. as V.R. Troopers. In season 2. Ryan's 1st Armor got busted permanently. Then Space Sheriff Shaider was remake to become as Ryan Steele's new armor.
i got myself gavan dvd but i didn't watch it at all not..not that i hate it but when / if i watched it i feel sad because it brings back my childhood memories.....and my childhood memories is a sad one.
