W.A.I.F.U. - A NEW ERA of Minecraft Iron Farms | Java 1.16.2 - 1.20.4+

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 23 มิ.ย. 2024
- A showcase, explanation and tutorial for the next generation of compact iron farms. Introducing the Waterless Appressed Industrial Flinging Unit Iron Farm, or as it’s lovingly called, the WAIFU Iron Farm. This is in my opinion the best developments in Minecraft iron farms in a long, long time. It allows for nether compatible, single dimension, efficient and compact iron production, a combination previously unexplored. This is all while keeping it relatively simple, cheap and easy to build. The farm can make 4900-11560 iron ingots/hour depending on the version you build and works in any version after 1.16.4

This helps so much! I’ve been troubleshooting my farm for 2 days, thank you!!
indeed
This man is revolutionizing the whole iron farm niche of Minecraft. I aspire to be creative like him .
yes but as usual he's not alone. His research is based upon other people's research, as he mentions it :)
Props to you for doing that Emdy, by the way. Great design. Subbed !
@@delco2035 Even with those, not everyone can create this, you have to admit it ^^'
Revolutionazing, but if you have the space, just build a regular one. Easier, no redstone. Just takes a couple more blocks lmao
@@erixccjc2143 you could say that for most overkill farms. its the process of designing and building that makes it cool. + its more interesting than just like portal spam or smth
@@absoulxo I'd say a whole perimeter filled to the brim with pacified pillagers and villagers producing a constant rain of iron golems into the nether is just as if not more interesting but yeah this one is pretty cool too ngl
Thing is even a relatively simple iron farm with 2x8 villager modules with absolutely 0 redstone can produce more than this, with no portals, just brute force
5000-12000 iron ingots / h isn't really overkill
The villager elevators can also be called U.W.U. (Universal Waterless Unit - Universal as works in any dimensions)

Ah, the W.A.I.F.U. using the U.W.U. system

I want to say thank you. Your hard work and dedication to the MC community is much appreciated!
Another very well-done video! 😊
I haven't played minecraft in years, but it's still amazing how players keep pushing the limits. Congrats.
Awesome farm and very well explained video Emdy. I know you put a ton of work into it, so glad to see that the work has paid off with this excellent content!
Awesome design, Emdy! So well thought-out and clearly explained, and it's a very nicely edited video too :)
_Thanks Emdy, I can always count on you to make iron farms sound scarier._
Nice farm though, and very well put together video! I applaud your efforts in making what looks like almost an hour long tutorial _when you could've just released those litematics and have been done with it_
was also surprised that the australian VUAIF thing got referenced here, haha
The amount of detailed explanations and effort into this video is amazing :D
Thanks for allowing me to do some testing with the maxi single dim and will 100% be recommending this video/design to others!
Like which maxi did you do??
Nice work Emdy! That's some serious dedication on all the variations of the tutorial.
4.3k subs and popping off with sick cinematics in the beginning of a video already. You're a trooper.
Ever since I started using redstone when the “pretty scary update” in Minecraft 1.4 came out, I have watched redstone videos on TH-cam, this is the best, most interesting redstone video I have ever watched. Please keep doing what you are doing, I really look forward to watching more of your videos in the future! You are undoubtedly going to blow up soon! I’m excited to be here for when it happens!
I started building this, and noticed a very small discrepancy which was likely just a misstep in editing, but at 55:41 during the village cell building, we place a repeater on the glass below and in front of the solid block, but this glass doesn't have a trapdoor and is one block higher than the glass touching the piston, while the last glass we placed on that tube a few seconds ago did have a trapdoor and was at the same level as the glass touching the piston.
Most people are probably smart enough to figure out to add one more layer of glass to the tube, but just for those who might be confused, that wasn't explicitly spelled out in the instructions.
Good eye! Yes it is an editing mistake, not the first time it's been pointed out but thank you regardless
@@EmdyMC Hi! Before I move the pillager to his place to scare villagers, can I wait until his crossbow breaks from shooting me and still succesfully scare them, even without a crossbow?
@ijc9251 Works either way. Without a crossbow is just safer because it guarantees it cannot harm the villagers but even with crossbows they don't shoot at the villagers due to the range
@@EmdyMC Sorry to bother you again, but what mistake is he/she talking about in 55:41? I've seen that part a few times and even went on the downloaded world map of the farms and cant find the problem, much less the fix
@@ijc9251 It's a minor editing mistake where I forgot to add the clip of me putting another ring of glass to the tube. If you refer to the WDL you won't make any errors
This is genuinely amazing! Thank you for making this ❤
Finally had time to watch this piece of cinema. I don't think a single detail of this farm was able to hide from your script; the explanations and directions were so comprehensive and unambiguous.
I believe the countless hours you spent on this was well worth it ❤
(also the opening cinematic was great and got me thinking about doing one for the SSS now..)
Good to hear from you ncol, thanks for the lovely comment ♥️
one of the most in-depth, detailed showcases and tutorials. amazing!
Epic presentation, execution, explanation and dedication. My biggest of respects
The cinematic juat made me sub instantly!
Great editing
Really cool design mate , great! I completly sure than I will to test it a make it on my survival!
Damn absolutely amazing vid, congrats on the amazing vid! Revolutionising a stagnant branch of farms!
This video gives me such a high "Gnembon-vibe" and I mean that as the highest praise man! There is'nt a single thing this video is missing, explaining and showing all how this works properly, keep up the great work!!
Probably one of the most in depth farm tutorial, and explanation I have ever seen. Insane work!
An amazing video and a huge accomplishment. I will definitely build this in my next survival world
Thats high quality content. Really hope this blows up as it is quite niche
This is truly a revolutionary farm design!!!! Great farm and video!!
This video has some mad effort put into it!! 😎Awesome Iron Farm! I'll definitely be building this in my survival world.
I'm loving your design keep it up man!
This is very cool! Much more interesting than the "standard" iron farms you see everywhere and since it's compact I could easily see myself building this in a base or industrial area sometime.
Which maxi do you recommend?
@@cassiusperlati6362Maxi?
Amazing how far farms have gone now, very nice work!
Made the MS19 in a version 1.19.2 Forge modpack, 200+ mods. With Quark and Moveable Tile Entities installed, I needed to replaced the obsidian with a modded immovable block. I found that sometimes the upwards facing piston on the Downccel sometimes gets moved by the slime blocks, so I moved the components from beside the down pistons to the outside. They still get powered by the tripwire, but don’t ever touch slime on their sides. I added an extra scaffold line from my item collectors to the top that doubles as a signal to switch it on.
Love the WAIFU, gives me all my iron needs. Took me about 3 hours to build since Litematica isn’t Forge compatible, and Create Mod schematics don’t show incorrect blocks. The Block-by-Block is very helpful.
The cinematic is very good for showcasing your build at the very beginning, I loved it
fantastic video, explained everything clearly and understandably, and i especially appreciate the part where you said how many items go where.
Amazing video, haven't watched it entirely yet but im really enjoying the explanation, for sure i will test this on my new 1.20.4 world. The effort you have put on this concept, and video... its insane. Thank you and very well done :)
this is a brilliant and elegant iron farm design. the explanation is thorough as well. well done.
This video is a masterpiece. From the thumbnail and the cinematics getting the viewer's attention without any clickbait to the detailed explanations of the mechanics, circuits and everything else, along with a step by step tutorial for EVERY VERSION OF IT!!
The effort you have put into this video is insane, and I'm so glad to have found it. I'm looking forward to watching and using more of your farm designs in the future. Congrats on what you have achieved and good luck for whatever's coming!!
Thank you so much for the kind words ❤️
I really like both the farm design and the tutorial work : nice introduction, great video editing, timestamps and subtitle ... need I say more ?
I might take a look at your other videos. Long live the W.A.I.F.U.
Amazing work! Glad you made single dimension variants too. (-;
When I saw that initial shot of dropping villagers, I knew exactly what you did and why
My respect for refining this design
After 1 month of gathering, building, checking, rechecking, the MAXI farm is now running, my old farm rate was 132 iron per hour so you can imagine the boost of this farm. Welcome to the new ERA! thank you for the tutorial! clear and comprehensive!
I was already impressed and enjoying this, but then you mentioned how far we would need to spawnproof! You're amazing thank you so much
So i know im 5 month late but
this is the most elegant iron farm i've ever seen, OMG i love it. I was so bored of those 'simple' 3 villager sells with just loads of water and lava, and randomly saw that video, you deserve way more credit, this is INSANE
Man, it is a solid work. The level of perfection is awesome, it is nearly to scientific work within its approach and explanations. You inspire, please, continue!
Bhai aapne kya hee video banaye hai etne details mai and the presentation Jo aapne di kya baat hai😊
Beyond everything, i respect your communication skill, and your dedication and loyalty to the game and other creators. Love that you credited those due
These machines looks so crazy man, I watched the vid and all the desings and types the machines are so good, you worked so hard for this you really did, thanks to you, I wanna make this machine on the future on an anarchy server, and this is a better option than the gnembon's big 6k/hour Iron Farm, thank you so much and very nice video!, you really covered all the themes that you could, really nice video!!!, Love Ya
Amazing cinematic Emdy!
What an incredible video clearly a massive effort and attention to detail! I totally don’t need this farm. But I might build it for fun / challenge 😊
this is awesome for you to be improving on designs
Honored to have been memorialized in this xd
This hits a pretty high standard for tutorials in general, let alone iron farms. Your effort is clearly seen
Wonderful and Amazing Iron Farm, ULTIMATE edition
This deserves a nobel prize… Thank you for your hard work on this. Incredible.
Video's fire, really like the edit. 10/10
i was sad that i couldn't see the premiere especially when i saw it 20 min away from premiering, regardless it was a lot of fun watching the video, keep up the great work!
Awesome video man. Subbed.
The sheer amount of work that went into this video is insane!
amazing video, its done so masterfully i want to watch it 3 more times
Please do, I need that retention 😂
Finally finished building the maxi pillager single dimension version (1.20.2). It's way overkill but I wanted to make this so bad, and I'm so happy with the result. Thanks for the great design.
that cinimatic slapped good job
this is great farm finally a different iron farm design looking forward to building it in our server thanks for making such a creative n compact farm.....keep it up❤
Getting ready to sit through 1.5h of iron farming. These are already my favorite farms before even properly starting 😂
The amount of effort put into this is just incredible. Thank you.
Holy shit this is video is so well made, informative, and well paced. This should be THE example for what a good tutorial is!
Wow! Good job, need to build it
Man is becoming THE reference for Iron farm imo, amazing job !
This is a fun design, thanks for sharing.
Most interesting iron farm concept I've ever seen
first video i’ve seen from him and i instantly subscribed.
Incredible innovation. You're an absolute G for providing different versions for different needs.
awesome i have been using this design for a while and it is the best
i just learned sm about iron farms bro ty
To be honest I was pretty skeptical clicking this video, but this is crazy and I am now forced to build it😂 keep up the great work 👍
Loved the opening cineamtic scene.
With this commitment.... you will gain a huge following. My advice is to make a diehard video like this one, but also a shorter video (that people will be much more likely to watch) and mention the detailed video in the short one. I seriously like that you explain EVERYTHING... It is a huge contrast from ilmango or cubicmetre who don't touch on the mechanics of what they build nearly as much
Thanks for the suggestion. I agree an integrated tutorial was probably not the best idea but I didn't realise how long it would be till it was too late.
@@EmdyMC NOT GONNA LIE. I prefer the integrated tutorial like this. I am a person that needs to see the differences and why they are there before I make a decision and I respect this.
Great design. When I first saw the thumbnail, I was suspecting that this was based on Tango Tek's concept, so I am very glad to see that he received proper credit in the video.
Yup, I'm quite thorough with my crediting
@@EmdyMC it didn't go unnoticed. Congrats again on the great design and your hard work.
This farm works great! I went with the mini version for my single player world and it's plenty. I did increase the distance from the spawning platforms and killing chamber to 21 blocks. I get 2 golems every 3-4 seconds.
It's been years since I saw a technical video about Minecraft ... luckily you named it Waifu so my algorithm sent it to me 😂
Doing gods work, emdy
Just finished building the mini in 1.20.4 in a multiplayer world - even with server lag I'm getting nearly a stack of iron per minute which is already more than ill ever need plus the comprehensive tutorial and explanations made this farm actually fun and interesting to build, thank you emdy, thank you waifu
Your attention to detail the Can I use _____ instead of ______? part is amazing bro!
I think this is the minecraft video of the year that makes me happy.
Now we need gold farm named h.u.s.b.a.n.d.o

the day has finally arrived, the tutorial on how to make your own waifu
Amazing video! I watched the tutorial even though I don’t play mc anymore 😂
Wow this looks insane can’t wait to build it and I’m glad someone is pointing out how dead iron farm innovations are once I joined a server and the spawn chunks had like 30 ianxofour day one iron farms
great work!!
Thank you for this design! The hardest part was getting that amount of villagers despite having 3 villager breeders and bringing there the whole nearby village population it took a really long time, but the rates are worth it!
Thank you for this amazing W>A.I.F.U design! I now have over 64 Iron blocks.
why does this only have 2k likes? deserves so much more
only 2400 subs?! decently underrated
This is epic! Please make a follow-up video after 1.20.2!
No need for a follow up, I've covered updating to 1.20.2 in the video already :)
Why do you have like no views, the editing and content of this video is so good
incredible work here
Due to unforeseen incompatibilities with multiplayer, I had to change the design of this farm. I made an AFK chamber with pressure plate and redstone torch in place of the main switch so that it will not run while it is not fully loaded. If it is running while partially loaded, the clock will break as the clock material in droppers will run into unloaded chunks and become desynced. Villagers also take fall damage in distant/edge chunks for some inexplicable reason regardless of any and all preventive efforts. I do recommend twisted vine and slimeblock (or any opaque block) over regular vine and cobble wall as that can be shear shorn to stop its growth, instead of using messy vines that grow everywhere. I attached a lever to the daylight sensor output to disable the bed level scare mechanism in order to assist the AI with finding beds and finding problematic villagers. The trapdoor placement over the beds designed for ease of placement, but I would much rather have the trapdoors positioned so that in the open (down) position the villager AI could get themselves to a bed walking over the beds rather than relying on a catwalk with bad pathfinding interactions with trapdoors. It would make initial loading of WAIFU much easier.
I’ve been wondering if anyone dug into tangotek’s idea.
Glad to see it’s been fleshed out fully.
I'm one of the rare few that took up the concept 😄
is fast bro tq so much
Just WOW! Love it!
This is the single most exciting farm I've seen since the Iron Titan. My favorite successor to TangoTek's legacy.
