    I see you had Adapter selected under Input. Maybe the Recycle option is hidden when you have Adapter selected under input as you are supposed to have a battery there where the recycled energy is stored.

    Awesome little charger! Great review, Albert! 😃
    About the discharge thing, try setting the input power to battery instead of power supply. Otherwise I guess it won't work really.
    Anyway, I liked the XT60 adapters you made! I made a bunch, one for each kind of connector. 🙄
    Anyway, stay safe there! 🖖😊

    Hey Albert. The recycle-mode only appears, if you select "battery" as power-type in the settings (and set the correct maxVoltage). My thoughts: Shouldn't there be any selection of the imput-battery-type and current?

      You have to go to settings and in input power source have to choose “battery” and only then you will be able to choose “recycle” mode. There is nothing to do with the interface, which is super intuitive. To open settings, long press the scroll.

I also have a 2S battery that has a 2-holes connector for the tinywhoop FC but it charges using the 3-holes connector with the charger it came with (the stock batteries that came with the TinyHawk 2). Charging on 1S won't show the IR values. Charge up multiple 1S batteries to an adapter to make it look like a 2S or 3S battery to see the IR values. I'm not sure what's up with the second question. Either some info is missing or I'm just not understanding it at all. Kinda clueless about that one.

    • @AlbertKimTV

      That's normal. Under a charge load, the voltage will be a bit higher. When the load is released, the voltage falls off some. If you really want to top off to 4.2v exactly, you have to increase the final voltage setting to 4.25v.

    • @AlbertKimTV
      @AlbertKimTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think that will depend on the battery you're using to do the charging. It's more likely a 6S will be able to provide the high current needed but it doesn't mean a 4S can't either. Again, I would check the specs of the battery you're using.

    • @GreenEyesFromGondor

      On the charging screen it's right below the voltage and current reading. On the left is the charging time, on the right is the amount of charge in mAh. You can see it about 6 minutes into the video.

      @@AlbertKimTV I've been watching you since 2017 Albert. You were the go to guy for PID tuning. This is my alt account linked to my google play but we have talked before. I'm a big fan of micros like you so I've always just had little wall plug chargers for my 1 2 and 3s batteries now I have a 6s with no batterys or chargers so im shopping. I genuinely don't know why you would want a charger that runs off a battery and how would you charger your main big battery once that's dead?

      @@tweakohgy4471 it's easier and cheaper from an electronics POV to produce DC to DC products. They can be smaller and more powerful than the equivalent AC to DC model. Say someone wants to charge nothing but small cap 2S with the charger - they can buy a small AC to DC PSU to complement their application. The alternative is that they overpay for a big built in PSU that they won't use, nor can they remove if they go out flying with another DC source (car battery, etc)
