  • Breakthrough Suppressor Cleaner, 1st time using it and liking it so far. Silencer is a new ‪@DeadAirSilencers‬ Mask and has a little over 600rds. through her. Thought the cleanser did quite well and curious how well it'll do after a 1000rds.

    Mask can go way longer between cleanings. I think it says 2000 rds in the manual …Look into “anti spatter nozzle shield spray” you’ll be able to wipe the baffles clean with no effort if you pretreat and spay a little before you go shoot ,it’s mind blowing seriously.

      I waited 1100 before the first cleaning 😂 of my MASK. A wooden stick became my friend in getting the baffles out. So I clean now at 400 - 600, and white lithium grease everything - my life is much more enjoyable. ❤. 22Lr is what it is.

    I used wipe-out bore foam and it cleaned my baffles in about 1hr. Put the baffles in an empty mayo jar and sprayed the foam in. Stirred it around about every 15 minutes adding a touch of foam as it got low. Came out 95% clean and a bit of wiping finished it.

      @ I just used CLR on my TBAC end caps (Ti) and it worked fine. I used DIP (peroxide and 5% vineger) to clean SS baffles over night.

  • @filfarmerpacnw4868
    @filfarmerpacnw4868 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I used DIP today for 5hrs and the baffles came out 98% clean. Next time I will do overnight. I used a quart canning jar and lid. Mixed 2 cups 5% vinegar and 2 cups peroxide. You could see the scrubbing bubbles eating the lead off. Just wear PPE and do not get liquid on skin or breathe fumes. It makes lead acitate when disolved. Keep warm as it works better when warm. Maybe in a warm oven or warm pot of water (125f).

    I've had good luck with CLR. ??? Maybe will check this out.
    Something else I want to try would be to spray everything with anti-spatter spray for welding. It keeps weld spatter from sticking to areas around welds, and I suspect that it would keep stuff from sticking in a suppressor.

      @@Keep_It_Loaded I tested it with an old mule Gemtech Outback. It literally melted all the lead, I couldn’t believe it. My take away is it works magically on non aluminum cans, the ti baffles looks brand new after it’s clean. Aluminum baffle stained a little but I guess that’s as expected.

    • @pittwm
      @pittwm 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Buletspunge555 okay, let me preface that the Outback (full aluminum with updated ti and alloy baffles) was F up previously from Simple Green in Ultra sonic cleaner. Some of the anodizing was gone. This new stuff I dipped both tube and baffles and let soaked for 12 hours and ultra Sonic it twice at 10 minutes cycle. There is some lightening of the finish but I’m not sure if it’s from previous simple green or this stuff. I THINK the tube’s anodized finish would’ve been fine if I just soak and scrub in this solution. The to baffles came perfectly like new and the alloy baffles all free of lead and carbon, but a bit stained. I have no complaints since I use the Outback a lot.

      I coat my baffles in balistol when reassembling. It doesn't hurt, but my baffles are still completely caked in rock hard lead when I clean. CLR is the best cleaner I've used. I have ~8000rds combined through my dead air mask and rugged occulus. I just cleaned them today for the 3rd time. 2-3hr soak in CLR and the baffles wiped clean, zero scrubbing. I just soaked the end cap for the first time, and it didn't appear to hurt the finish. Non-toxic and biodegradable. Highly recommend.

    • @mdees88
      @mdees88 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @chadmccormick1412 I haven't noticed any major issues so far. The only change I have seen with the baffles is they had a bronze/gold color/coating when new, and they are now less bronze/gold and have more of a silver color to them. I haven't noticed any kind of pitting or anything. I have never used an ultrasonic cleaner. I had one picked out to buy specifically for cleaning the baffles, but I never did because of how well the CLR works. I'll soak for about 1 hr if it's not completely caked, and a couple hours if it's real dirty.
