Likely a mobility issue. Plate carriers worn correctly are high. So it can be difficult to draw mags if they are face a certain way. I do the same thing and grab the baseplate instead of the traditional beer can grip.
Minimalist ?????? Just my opinion, but way to much gear in an environment where there is close backup and immediate resources if needed. I can see it if you were more remote with less resources including man power immediately available. Like I said, just my opinion with some creditably from 26 LE years in a very remote Environment. Good video: keep them coming
What exactly would you omit? Everything he talks about has a specific practical purpose. The only thing that he mentioned isn’t always used is the 40mm pouch
@ lol leaving his previous department because he was too scared to get the vaccine is cringe. He trains a lot which is cool. As for unnecessary gear, I haven’t really seen anything stick out to me.
What an idiot!! RIP to the intensifier tubes... Always must use covers on NVG's to protect damage from the sun.... We need more training in the field!!
@ For law enforcement tactical team purposes it’s not odd. He’s not banging doors & huts in Afghanistan nor a third world country so that set up of very functional for his role. Just my observation, since he’s a breacher he’s carrying most if not all of the manual tools/explosives or ballistic breach tools. He’s also a Team Leader which his role is to coordinate in the middle of the entry and manage the control of the operation. Working both sides of the house I can tell you both have their difficulties and gear is forever changing on how you move in attics, hallways, etc. Not everyone is well versed on camera either nor a public speaker.
@@RoninWarrior1776 If you look at dudes kit who are on more reputable teams with a higher optempo, you can tell the difference. Look at teams like LASD, LAPD, OCSD, Dallas PD, etc… the way his kit is configured is just strange and not operationally efficient. His gear is budget, not the high end stuff legit team guys use
@ I know what LASD runs that’s where I went to swat school with their Special Enforcement Bureau. No one had super high end priced out gear. What that had was what worked for their mission set, which could be a mixture of high-end to affordable. They were very slim line and simple when it comes to gear but those dudes run over 300 high-risk operations a year. I just think it’s all personal choice and there isn’t “always” & “never” kit.
What are we (a SWAT team) supposed to dress like? Are we not allowed the same protection and weaponry as the military? P.S. I’m a former Army Infantryman. This isn’t me in the video.
Went to Academy with him. Great officer , great guy!
Well setup kit bro stay safe
My bro right there. Be safe bro
0:53 “white phosphorus” NODs, sounds painful 😂😂
What level plates you running?
Great settings 👌🏻
What brand of combat top is that?
Jcrew
Are your rifle mags facing the same way? I prefer rifle bullets to the rear and pistol facing forward…

I've seen situations that call for this set up all of the. Especially in SWAT scenarios.

Bet none of them know simple case law or amendments lol.

If they’re off, it won’t do shit. He should still do it just in case but you’re not gonna fuck up the tubes by having them off.
yea fr doing that with white phos nods is wild
Thats not at all true. Direct exposure will still damage them. Theres a really good video on it.@Timboslice475
It’s only going to burn your tubes if it’s sitting in direct sunlight.
@@Timboslice475check out dirty civilian they test the theory if it hurts the nvg and the results are impressive
This guy is pretty amatuer. i could tell by his gear and whats he says.
What is so wrong with his gear and what he’s saying? Please enlighten us here
@@RoninWarrior1776He talks like a powerpoint presentation. No gear he has shows any usage. His overall setup is odd and disorganized.

My opinion police are going the direction to be militarized with all that gear is over kill they only time it’s used is during training 😂
Leo’s with nods serving U.S. citizens😂😂 gwot wannabe’s
These police dress and act like they are in the frontlines of Ukraine
Bruh shoulda joined or stayed in the Armed forces instead of this…
he's attached to a swat team..
gotta be ready to serve and oppress the people who pay you and your court judgements

This gear is all available to civilians, what are you yapping about?
