Same we have got a 2014 jcb 541-70 and where the black paint is it has rusted off , and spent it’s whole life on an arable farm , but the thing is it’s a great machine and wouldn’t swap it for another brand ever
Hi Olly, The rust does seem excessive for a machine that’s less than three years old. Are there any alternatives to the JCB I thought john Deere made a telehandler? Maybe when it’s time to change it you should look for an alternative. In the meantime maybe some black hammerite which I’ve found treats the rust and provides a better finish could be used to treat the rust. A light sanding and then refinish could help.
I love watching these videos because people dont realize that the term farming has many different branches and it's nice to see the cattle aspect of it and how they are feed considering my family does the agricultural portion of farming
I have seen JD combines flaking n only been few years old. McCormick on older tractors have same problem on their grill. I believe it’s way they paint on farm machines plus type of paint it is.
We have a 16 year old lm410 turbo that used to stand in the shallow end off the slurry pit and bucket out loads of slurry into the spreader and the paintwork is still mostly fine a lot better than ur jcb
Also another bad thing about JCB is the paint isn't very good on the machine, so I don't know about yours, but on our JCB the paint comes off when you wash it.
On the uncles claas scorpion, I don’t know the model number, the first one they got in 2014 went on fire with an electric fault and then 2018 model they purchased in January 2018 went threw two front rims and an engine, the rims cracked and the engine blew up, so like every machine has faults but some are worse than others but id recommend to get a claas loader on demo, the have loads of power, and also our claas dealer is very helpful and does the best he can, btw great video mate, keep it up, from Ireland
Jcbs are not what they once were, I had a mate who was shifting chicken litter, and the boom.cracket on the rear mountings, jcb would have anything to do with it. It was only a 3 year old 541-71. Like other comments a scorpion like in your previous video are worth a shout, when looking at swapping.
I had a TM 300 which would have something different wrong with it on a daily basis! It was even delivered new wired up wrong! Never buy JCB again. Replaced it with a MLT634 manitou which has been used every day for the past 8 years and has been faultless. With no rust!
Olly I own a 2007 jcb and it has no where near the amount of rust that yours has I believe it is like that because of the abuse livestock farmers put there equipment through
Hey Olly, great videos like always, I don’t know much about manure but I believe that it when mixed with metal can cause things to rust easier because of the high acidic levels which could be the case for ur JCB? Anyway mate keep the good videos rolling and greeting from Down Under
Yeah J C B take note buck up your ideas there factory where they make those machines is less than half hour away from me near Uttoxeter near Stoke on Trent. S C UK
We have 2 541-70 (6 years old )and one 525-60 (4 years old) and all the black parts are really rusty. But the issues with add blue an engine codes are way worse 🙃
Hi oli good video why don't you have a claas and a manitou on demo and ask the it's a farming Life for me if he his selling is Deere because he has a new Deere on demo 🤔
the black paint on jcb 526.56 telhanders is rubbish. we have a 2012 jcb 526.56 works on a dairy farm gets washed off every morning during the winter with the high powers hosepipe the cab paint is probably the worst as we have rust inside the cab out side cab. some time if i put a knife under the paint i can peal about 10cm of paint off and the hole way though has got a layer of rust. jcb should really change the paint they use else people will swap brands.
Ben Williams I was gunna say most of the places he showed were rusting is where thier constantly is mud , if you wash it more regularly probably wouldn’t have the same level of rust .
On The Farm that is true, it’s all in how you take care of your equipment, my grandfathers Kubota tractor is 16 years old and the decals aren’t even pealing, where as my uncles 2017 Case IH Puma is already rusted through one of the inside wheel arches
I've noticed in the last couple of years the paint is not good on JCB I have a friend with JCB diggers and he finds the same problem and he's on his ten digger he's thinking of switching brand the next time we have a Manitou loader and I must say the paint is very good on it I don't know what the new ones are like ours is a 09 model and it's held up very well
@@OllysFarmLtd Olly’s Farm i dont have any experience with telehandlers, although i like the manitous as well as that Kramer that farming life has reviewed a few months ago.
You know how you say' plenty more videos to come' ? NEVER STOP MAKING THEM YOU ARE BRILLIANT !!
Same we have got a 2014 jcb 541-70 and where the black paint is it has rusted off , and spent it’s whole life on an arable farm , but the thing is it’s a great machine and wouldn’t swap it for another brand ever
As with any farm machine that spends a lot of time in wet dirty conditions (especially animal waste) you will find the paint sufferers
The new kramer telehandlers are brilliant!
21/2 years old ... we had many JCB teles for the construction industry... never rust like that

Good video Olly
Nice Looking caves 👌
We have never had a issue with the black paint coming off like our 3 JCB loaders and we haven't had any major issues
I have seen JD combines flaking n only been few years old. McCormick on older tractors have same problem on their grill. I believe it’s way they paint on farm machines plus type of paint it is.
Can you take your wrap and net mixed together? Our recycling place only takes the wrap... :/
Think u have to separate it.Here in Ireland anyway
Jcb is looking nice and cleaner .keep up the good work
Olly do a whole farm tour sheds the lot
Great vid olly, late again typical me
We have a 16 year old lm410 turbo that used to stand in the shallow end off the slurry pit and bucket out loads of slurry into the spreader and the paintwork is still mostly fine a lot better than ur jcb
New Holland *^
Would you consider getting a concrete fodder beet clamp/store/whatever it’s called?
Nice video
Our 536-60 hasn’t rusted and it is a similar age. My 03 merlo p26.6 has only really started to rust like that
Young Farmer Will my p26.6 lpt still is fine paint wise only little rust here and there
What bull do you use on them ?
Do you calve them at 34 months because they are difficult calving?
Are they dairy cross?
Thanks
jcb’s do work very hard remember, harder than the 6930 i reckon?
Olly, you could get something like a manitou,John Deere or a class scorpion
Manitou is a good option to be honest.
Also CLAAS scorpion, especially the new ones!!
what pressure washer is that?
Also another bad thing about JCB is the paint isn't very good on the machine, so I don't know about yours, but on our JCB the paint comes off when you wash it.
The rust is from the muck
Wouldn’t consider getting a hay shed?

We have a claas the only thing gong wrong is the weight meter
Love it
There's more rust on that than on our 1990s classic mini
Hi mate love the content, just curious on what feed you use?
Does the recycling centre take netwrap? Ours definitely do not ! Plastic yes ! Netwrap no no!
I’ve got that loader and it doesn’t rust at all and it doesn’t rust

When are yous starting silage
My manitue is 10 year old and it has very little rust
Olly I own a 2007 jcb and it has no where near the amount of rust that yours has I believe it is like that because of the abuse livestock farmers put there equipment through
what is that music at the end
What is your favorite tractor ollie
Hey Olly, great videos like always, I don’t know much about manure but I believe that it when mixed with metal can cause things to rust easier because of the high acidic levels which could be the case for ur JCB? Anyway mate keep the good videos rolling and greeting from Down Under
Are there no warranty on the jcb? 2 years is nothing
It’s probably stone chips from the wheels
Great calves

Nice video Olly! Greetings from a Dutch treenurseryman in France. :)
Hello 👋
That John Deere has definitely been re sprayed at somepoint in its life
What is your favourite job on the farm

The steps on the John Deere just need a little paint the
Hi olly how much farm do u farm
One of are JCB diggers is so rusted even the yellow on the arm is rusted
We have 2 541-70 (6 years old )and one 525-60 (4 years old) and all the black parts are really rusty. But the issues with add blue an engine codes are way worse 🙃
I thought it was a full pen of blue heifers not 2/3 and friesen and that's not JCB fault it's just where all the shit and urine goes from the yard
Hi oli good video why don't you have a claas and a manitou on demo and ask the it's a farming Life for me if he his selling is Deere because he has a new Deere on demo 🤔
2.5 years old, probably cost a small fortune and it looks like that! Disgraceful. Did JCB forget these machines are used outside in the elements?

Get a Weidemann next time, they are a german quality product
Can you do a video of you topping
Move the trailer closer I'd say
I totally agree with u there Olly
The horses shouldn’t be eating silage as it can make them very sick
a manitou might fix the problem 😁
Alright mate I work for a tractor dealership which specialises in loaders and load all's and the JCB are all the same under the arches
Ben Williams I was gunna say most of the places he showed were rusting is where thier constantly is mud , if you wash it more regularly probably wouldn’t have the same level of rust .

Btw you should never feed horses silage bc it will kill them no joke
What is that on the cows ears?
K Chess the yellow tags? They are for identifying them

Hi Ollie I sent you a messenger message have you got it ?
Anyone else here because you love farming simulator 2019? 😂😂
Vanilla Gorilla yes fs19 is my favorite game of all time
You probably need to search for a different telehandler for your farm
Manitou 🙈
@@OllysFarmLtd Olly’s Farm i dont have any experience with telehandlers, although i like the manitous as well as that Kramer that farming life has reviewed a few months ago.
You should complain to JCB!!!!
stop roasting JCB coz its only age and they use a different type of paint to the yellow
If it ain't red leave it in the shed
My 1979 ford 6600 has less rust than that yoke
Any chance of a reply to my comments ?
Buy British lol
