Mishaps are totally normal when traveling. It’s a learning experience and it can also be an interesting topic to share with people you meet someday, who somewhat share the same experience. I missed my flight on my birthday and my friends and I had to sleep at the airport, so we can catch the red eye flight! Since then, I made sure that I will never miss a flight due to my own carelessness. 🙂

it’s not a good idea to bring ecobags. you only have like 7 kgs for handcarry and then 20 kgs for check in. what you should do is not to bring a huge luggage when going there. since you’re two, what you can do is bring 1 small handcarry luggage (for all your lighter pasalubongs) and just buy a huge luggage there (for all your stuff). the reason why you don’t get to eat the best thai food is because you eat at restaurants. perhaps, if you eat streetfoods then it would be much better.

Zhing we rode Grab! We didn’t wanna take taxis cause we’ve heard a lot about taxi drivers scamming foreigners and not starting the meter on time then just giving them a higher rate. At least with grab, you know how much you have to pay for :)
