I wore circle lenses for 3 years after visiting Japan. They *ruined* my eyes indefinitely. Yes, I took proper care of them. However, contacts should be treated as the medical devices that they are. Only purchase lenses from you Optometrist/ Dr.
How did it ruin your eyes ? I’ve never tried colored and wonder what’s diff than normal lens
@@lyeee6 You can get colored lenses from your Dr. who will fit them to your eye. Purchasing cheap lenses online from a foreign country isn’t the way to go.
My eyes have healed but now I have to see not only my Optometrist but also an Ophthalmologist who specializes in eye diseases. The walls of my eyes have thinned significantly and my eyes are on watch now. Do what you will, just proceed with caution.
@@youheartmel I used to buy contacts online had no issues but I don’t risk at anymore as I’ve got REALLY good eye sight. I tried pinky paradise lenses and they were good but again not gonna try.

As someone who wears prescription contacts I was told to only get contacts made in the US or Ireland (from licensed companies) because everywhere else in the world companies are allowed to sell contacts that deprive your eyes of more than 20% of the oxygen they need leading to, at the very least, a damaged cornea.
I wore some low pigmentation purple lenses recently and I was surprised at how much better I looked when I took them off. I have dark brown eyes and white blonde hair with a neutral/peach skin tone, thin nose, medium set eyes.
So many lenses seem unnatural these days :( 99% of the time it’s always obvious. I still wear them and it obviously gives me confidence..
This makes me want to try out colored contacts more, I’ve always been so scared of putting anything in my eyes😭💀

i once bought a 14.2 lenses, and when i wear it i kinda see white things around my eyes, i can’t see clearly. i thought the lenses were bad and blamed them lol. then i accidentally bought a 14.5 lenses and it works perfectly, that’s how i know that 14.2 is too small for my eyes

Base curve is always important for me when I buy contact lenses! Surprisingly, there's not a lot of 8.8 lenses 😅 and my eyes are a bit sensitive, so I tend to get dailies. I've tried biweekly lenses before, but it just hurts my eyes too much to use even though I've cleaned it up...
I also experienced same problem 😭 my lenses tend to move due the curves are not suit for my eyes

@@IntegrityMeansAll I was referring to the base curve of the lenses! There's several, from 8.6mm to 8.9mm. I can handle lenses that have a base curve of 8.7mm, but the best for me would be 8.8mm 😁 Hope this helps!

the only lenses ive ever wore after 14 yrs wearing glasses is clear prescription lenses and they hurt my eyes so much no matter how diligently i clean them. only wore them twice for some important occasions. for some reason i want to try colored lenses now. wish me luck i hope they could be good friends with my eyes

@@once_momo hi haha personally my eyes are on the more sensitive and dry side so I've learned to buy lenses that I know are very soft and use extra moisturizing eye drops. I also tend to choose smaller/natural lens size rather than the big eye lens since I find that big ones are much harder to apply since my eyes are kinda small and are usually more irritating to my eyes.

I'm trying to figure out why opaque lenses look like I have prominent eyeballs. So most of the time, I would only pick ones with graphics closer to the outer ring and wider pupillary "space". There are also lenses with a gradient outer ring that makes your iris line looks blurry, while others with a defined outer ring makes you look sharper and have whiter sclera!
Good thing that I just tried to wear contact lenses and only tried to colors, green and gray for my brown eyes. Green eyes looks good on me (I think) but I regret to buy gray ones because it doesn't suit my current brown skin so yeah I looked like husky 😂 Thank you for the guide

it's kinda hard to find small diameter graded colored contact lenses though. those sold at local optical shops have the generic doll eye size like 14mm+ even 15mm. So yeah that's why people tend to order online
I too ordered online just to try and they really do sell big sized, I saw a lot of 16mm ones.
The one I ended up buying is 14.5mm (if I remember correctly) blue coloured and literally no one realized I wore it.
I ordered my new contact lenses yesterday with a lot of confusion in choosing the color and so on, and I'm just watching this video now :') 🤧

17:17 i am not sure but in my place silicone hydrogel is the most expensive lens although it said that it is safer and more comy. It charged 3x from regular color lenses while it only lasts for 3 months
apart from the contrast between the nose and the eyes when having a bigger nose and wearing light contacts making the nose appear bigger, i think its also because striking eyes draw the gaze towards the middle part of the face
I agree I have naturally vibrant light green eyes with a wide nose I sometimes wear brown contacts and I feel like it looks so much more flattering

I want lenses that have a chocolate brown sparkley eye affect. I want my eyes to look bigger and more doll like. I have brown eyes so I’m half way there and I have found that there are lenses to do just that. Now I just need to find the right size and hope it works out.
The only color I want is bright and I mean BRIGHT teal/turquoise they always felt like they suited me better than boring normal hazel

I wanna cosplay but I’m not interested in those bright neon colored ones I wanna cosplay Kanao from demon slayer and I wanna use a muted purple colored lense similar to the Douyin ones but with an eye enlarging effect, I don’t want the ones that are huge but maybe the kind that visibly show your eyes have enlarged but only by a little. but I wouldn’t plan on wearing them that much only for a few minutes to make a video or take pictures. would it ruin my eyes if I just wore them for a few minutes? I don't even care if light lenses make my nose look bigger. Colored lenses are a necessity to make my beady eyes and dot-sized pupils look somewhat visible. My vibrant rainbow eyeshadow looks are totally unappealing with my black brown eyes. With colored lenses, my pictures look more impactful even with just a wash of color lol
