I disagree on her hero ability into teklovossen. All of his blue attacks will be extremely below rate when played out by her, he can respond to her banishing an EVO and equip it as well. He blocks in an identical way to the current assassins due to the threat of shreds and that’s a decent matchup for him as well.
Assuming Nuu's ability is activated on her own turn, Teklovossen cannot respond. After any ability (such as Nuu's hero ability) fully resolves, the priority is first on the turn player. If Nuu uses the priority to play the Evo, it moves to the chain and is no longer playable by Teklovossen. It then goes to Teklovossen's graveyard as part of the resolution because Nuu (probably) does not have the Evo Base to put it on.
It's a fair point that Shreds already made it difficult to block with in-play Evos. And blocking with in-hand Evos is actually better for Teklo than normal since they get banished. So after giving this some extra thought, I'd probably move Teklo down a tier or two
@@MikkoAiraksinenwhat does this mean? Stealth cards do not have to again. Teklo can block the stealth preventing damage then play his equipment from banish. Nuu needs priority AND an action point to waste. Even at your best case you throw chi at the beginning of your turn then play an evo and end turn? That’s a terrible turn threatening zero damage and it only working if there’s a blue evo on top. Not that hardly anyone plays that character.
@@Legaleagle0200 Yea I possibly misunderstood the original comment, was mostly responding to the part of "Teklo can respond to Nuu banishing an EVO" which is not true if Nuu banishes it with her hero ability. You are correct that its pretty bad for Nuu if Teklo blocks a Stealth with a blue.
Thanks, appreciate your opinion always! You're also one of the great sources for staying on top of spoilers and speculation for me so thanks for that as well
I feel like Fai and Katsu should potentially be moved up to B tier, call it B-. Yes, their blues aren't great to play once in the banished zone, but for Fai especially you're taking away some of their very, very limited blues to power their own turns. To a lesser extent removing blues from Katsu can throw a wrench in their turn.
I can see the logic here in a really long game. We don't know yet how long Nuu's games will go, though, so I'm not sure it's a big factor. If 1/4 of their cards are blue, there's a 1/4 chance of even hitting one off the top, so you will probably not get many activations during a game when you'll actually be able to banish a blue. Plus they're quite aggressive and the game is unlikely to go fully to fatigue (TBC). So you might end up banishing like 1-2 blues, which probably isn't enough to matter. That'd be my current very uneducated take on it
Yeah I'm more hyped for Nuu than any hero in the past probably! But I'm tempering my expectations because of the hero ability being so weird that they'll probably start quite carefully with it
Doesn't Nuu's ability not work the way it shown in the first example? It says attacks with Stealth banish cards that defended on this chain *link*, I though that meant only that single link and not the whole combat chain? It does seem like it should work the way you pointed out in the example though since the idea is to synergize with Contract cards, I'm just confused on the rules.
No it's definitely only cards defending Stealth attacks that Nuu banishes. But Contract cards don't care where they're banished from as long as it happens in the same combat chain, i.e. when the Contract ability is active. And Contract cards banishing stuff also lets you play them with the other Nuu ability. So there's synergy both ways

How are we only just now learning about this channel!? Great content, we're excited to see more of it.
Maybe because I started it yesterday 😉 or maybe you were sarcastic and my sarcasm radar is broken 🤔
Loving the content Juha! Been a huge fan since I got to play you in Birmingham
