    For the children, P.V. can be an outstanding place, because there are good schools and the kids can learn both languages fluently - something easier done at a young age. Well, I do hope to see you around town once we get back there. I've been going to P.V. since it was a small village with jungle all around it.

    • @Morelifediaries
      @Morelifediaries  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes our oldest has a good grasp of the language already. Our youngest knows a lot of words and understands very well.

      @@Morelifediaries - Let me know about your Health Ins . in Mex. - we may need similar - given a huge cost savings from the USA insurers. I am now on Medicare, but my wife still pays for a private plan - it's much too expensive. Medical in the USA is driven by GREED!!!!

    I agree! Water pressure and AC are super important for the rainy season, especially. I'm looking now too in Vallarta. I live here as well and want to upgrade. Construction, yes! Also mold is important to look out for. So many things to be aware of. I want a one bedroom with a balcony and nice light and a bigger, brighter bathroom too! I would love to be near rio cuale. So far no luck but I'll keep looking. It's great to see your experience as well! Great video--thanks!

      YES MOLD!!! Definitely something to look out for, especially in poorly ventilated bathrooms. Best of luck on your apartment hunt :)

      How are the mosquitoes there?
      Do they carry diseases?
      They tend to love me (even when wearing Deet), so if they are prevalent, I will look elsewhere. 🙄

    I'm glad you are sharing your experience there. I'm renovating an apartment and Two studios in Viejo Vallarta, or Colonia Emiliano Zapata, walking distance to a lot of popular spots. This will help me to have a better idea and understanding how we can help our future guest. I hope you find the apartment that your family is looking for soon and keep enjoying PV! 😊

    The pin drop/location difference is something that people will do to sell a place on Facebook marketplace before you realize the location isn't correct. It's a bit of a cat fish tactic unfortunately. I've seen it a bit in Mazatlan as well. This video was highly informative, thank you! I'll be in Pv for 6 months this winter and although I've found my place already, this was alot of great info. ❤

    This is my wife at the end of the video…”Noooooooo! We have to wait until next time to see what they got?”
    Another very informative video. But we are like this 🤞🏼please be Versailles please be Versalles please be Versalles🤞🏼 because that’s where we (will) living.
    Can’t believe what was, or not offered on some of these apartments. But here in the states you wouldn’t get Internet, water or utilities included (not that I know of).
    Always look forward to your videos.
    Thank you for letting us join you on your journey!

    My family and I were there this past June, staying in Los Altos condos in Cinco Deciembre neighborhood for a couple weeks. We have two kids as well and we're eventually looking to move to either Versailles or Fluvial neighborhood. Looking to be close to Costco and La Comer as well as all the restaurants in the Versailles area . We'll be back next year for a stay at the Dreams all-inclusive resort

    Did you notice any places short term ? Im thinking of coming this winter for couple month's... thank you

    • @Morelifediaries
      @Morelifediaries  ปีที่แล้ว

      There are specific short term Puerto Vallarta Facebook groups you can join. Most of the ones posted on Facebook marketplace seek long term tenants but you can also find short term ones (I think you may be able to filter). You can also use air bnb and ask the owner for a reduced rate since you’ll be booking for a few months (although fees are high)

    I enjoyed the video, because this is exactly what I expected to see in P.V. if one is willing to live outside the Tourist areas where costs are so high for perm residents. I prefer the Colonias and given I have two dogs I'd like some outside space or maybe even a house. Thank you for the video!!!

    • @Morelifediaries
      @Morelifediaries  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for watching :) We also prefer the more local Colonias although we loved our time in 5D.

    • @dennishassler605
      @dennishassler605 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Morelifediaries Yes, 5D is very nice; however, there was a building I thought about someday buying, but when I found the place it was only 4- 5 blocks from the main part of the Malecon, but up a 45 degree hill where you had to zig zag to reach the top walking and it seemed dangerous to drive it as well - after that I had zero interest in the building.

    Marc, I was wondering, do landlords ask for a lot of paperwork & references when one wants to rent in PV? Is is similar to Toronto? Great episode, really enjoyed seeing those apartments.

    • @Morelifediaries
      @Morelifediaries  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you 😊 Most don’t but I’ve heard that some do. Most people and 100% of the places we visited require first + last + deposit which is typically a full month (3 months rent total) and then they typically have a contract. Some higher end places will sometimes ask for references or proof of income.

  • @dennishassler605
    @dennishassler605 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    It's not just bad photos in many cases, BUT Mexican standards like having shelves in the kitchen can be a factor, because if the spacing is good one can always upgrade the furniture and compensate for outdated facilities.

    • @Morelifediaries
      @Morelifediaries  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Definetly! We saw so many that didn't have shelves in the closets either (Including our old apartment).

    • @dennishassler605
      @dennishassler605 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Morelifediaries - those places a bit substandard can become an excellent deal if the rooms are well sized, because you can rent it cheaper and fix it up to a decent standard; however, there can be flaws that you cannot address, so the new, modern buildings address those things if you are willing to pay the premium.

    Hey guys the two appartments u visited on the main road! (17:40mins)...
    U are lucky you didnt take it ( the bigger one) it is still under construction. And out the back where there was the sun room with the nice view .. there is now another building that they have built right outside
    blocking the view so the view is gone and the light too and it sucks....
    They have ruined the entire building. Very sad
    Good luck on hunting hope u found something

    We're moving there and my big question is WHERE do you find the apartments? What's a good online site to start with?? I can't seem to find any sites that aren't short term.
    Also, what about schools?

    • @Morelifediaries
      @Morelifediaries  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Facebook marketplace is the best place. Best for schools is to join PV parent groups on facebook and ask for recommendations based on what you're looking for.
